This place needs a refresh. It's very old and a lot of things aren't in stock. You can always expect a line and people who don't want to be here. Pharmacy already seems like it's chaos there

It's a pretty standard Duane Reade. If you're looking for over the counter medication or for toiletries, there's a good chance what you want is in a locked case. And it's understaffed, so no one will come if you push a button to ask for help unlocking it. And unlike CVS, there's no self checkout, so at busy times, you have to wait in a long line to check out. Budget an extra 10-15 minutes over what you might expect when visiting here.

This store is an overpriced dump. Lazy employees and everything is locked up cause NYC is a crime haven. It's convenient cause my partner lives on the water but I wouldn't waste your time here.

Terrible pharmacy that is always behind. I went three time in the same week to get a prescription filled here and they said they never received it but they had in fact did and then said they didn’t have it in stock after they had already been waiting for an entire week and could have filled it then. On top of it the staff is very rude.

I went in on January 10th looking for some items. There were 2 checkout staff. one was busy and the other was having a lengthy personal conversation with a friend or 3rd employee. i inquired if there was a procedure for finding items? they gave me a hostile look followed by nasty comments. If stores cant be staffed properly they should have an app so folks don/t need them. By contrast the nearby KINGS pharmacy has nice helpful staff and terrific pharmacy staff. Retail workers are in peril and an app would be better then walking into an almost empty store with sullen staff. They can be spared and the public will adjust. Or in this case go elsewhere.

The store has empty shelves in its drinks area every day - missing many items that used to be available - diet drinks especially are hard to come by - ranging from diet sodas (mostly only Diet Coke and Diet Pepsi are available) to vitamin water zeros to diet Gatorade. Complete inventory mismanagement.

Really small and compact place to shop. It looks more like a bodega than Duane reade. Not too much choice

Pharmacy Dept have nice people who are good at their jobs. Store should have more food items. They have items under lock and key that shouldn't be ie. lotion, soap, etc Overall its a good drug store with not that long a wait , like some others have.

Dr. Jekyll (the 5-star pharmacy staff who generally take good care of their customers) and Mr. Hyde (the two-star, often surly and slow main-counter staff)

They are shoving so many boxes of coconut water into tight spaces that damage to products is bound to occur, potentially resulting in health hazards.

I walked into this business on 2/16/19 at about 7:45 am to exchange a bottle of unopened vitamins because I was concerned that the dosage was too high for me to use safely. I haven't felt so disrespected and uncomfortable asking for help in a long while. I asked one light skinned pregnant young woman if I should see a manager about exchanging the item. I also had showed her the bottle immediately to assure her that I came into the store with it. She simply said "I have a customer", as I watching her "customer" putting her credit card away, and she just standing there. I didn't ask a complex question. So I moved on to the other cashier, who I intentionally didn't asked because she was pretending to look busy in front of an unused cash register. I will just describe her as a dark skinned young woman with long black braids. She gave me an interrogation that was uncalled for. She should let NYPD or FBI personnel conduct investigations. She's not smart enough. Why? She doesn't even know her actual job description. It's not her job to ask probing questions, such as , "What credit card did you use to buy it?" She didn't even inspect the bottle I brought in to exchange. She released me from the torturous interrogation after a couple of minutes (when she probably sensed I was about to go off and dress her down), and told me to get a bottle to make the exchange. Luckily, I bumped into the manager on the way. Her name is "Jennifer". I didn't ask the other women's names because they behaved as low-lives, and I didn't want to make a scene. I asked "Jennifer" her name because she was so nice and I wanted to commend her in this forum. She helped me right away. She asked me no questions other than one...if I had a Duane Reade card. She even notified me of a related sale, and I wound up with $1 off as a Duane Reade frequent shopper member. With Target and CVS in the area now the rudeness of "Jennifer's" staff won't be tolerated because as for me, I'm taking my business anywhere but store #412. As a side note, I asked the Asian pharmacist what the store number was in order to write this review. She literally looked like I was about to rob her. I was 15 feet away from her, and I was pleasant and smiling because I was completely satisfied with "Jennifer's" service. I just forgot to ask "Jennifer" for the store number. "Jennifer" is definitely a diamond in the rough. Roughnecks. I won't be shopping at store #412 at 352 Greenwich St. Tribeca, N.Y. again. But, for the sake of my other community members, please re-train or replace your staff with people who like people and want to perform their customer service role like "Jennifer" does. Jennifer" is the manager. She can't run the whole store herself. In full disclosure, myself as well as some colleagues, have had several unpleasant experiences at store #412 throughout the years. I will refrain from listing them because this incident is just the last straw for me. As I said, Target and CVS are here now.

The Fed Ex section of the store is less than worthless as they pick up the phone and repeatedly hang up without speaking to you. I would give less than 1 star if I could.

First time I've used the pharmacy at this location and actually found the staff to be exceptionally kind and helpful. Perhaps new staff? One of the pharmacy staffed called both another pharmacy and my son's pediatrician in order to get a script transferred to that location. Great service.
