Rooms are small and cold. Breakfast experience horrendous. Staff is very friendly, location good if your goal is times square or Penn Station.

We had a fabulous experience at this hotel. The staff are brilliant. A reviewer from 5 days ago used an image of me and my husband eating breakfast outside the elevator. I was shocked to see a photo of myself taken without my consent or knowledge!!!!!! I don’t agree with his review at all! User is Georg Huebel. Tried to report but it wasn’t removed.I’d 100% recommend this hotel, the busy breakfast did not bother us one bit. That was the only morning we didn’t get seated. The room was brilliant. So quiet on the 25th floor. Bags were kept safe upon checkout. Loved the happy hour too. Thanks for everything.

The three best things about this hotel are the location, the warmth and helpfulness of the staff and the very queit rooms. The main drawback is the military style breakfast. Paper plates, rudimentary scrambled eggs etc, in a slightly overcrowded canteen. The free beer and wine at 5pm makes up for that tho!

Very good hotel. Breakfast included.Well located on a fairly quiet street close to Penn Station. The only downside, not enough elevators and not enough tables for breakfast, you often have to wait a long time before getting a seat. Especially for a family of 4 or more.We are nevertheless very satisfied with our stay in this hotel.Nearby activities: Madison Square Garden and Time Square.

Good location in central New York, near to Times Square. My room was OK, nothing special but with all the essentials. Hotel itself is looking quite tired and needs a refresh. Breakfast has a distinctly ‘youth hotel’ feel for it with people everywhere, not nearly enough seating and poor food selection and quality. Be prepared to have to wander around looking for somewhere to sit.Rooms: Rooms are OK. All the essentials provided. Nothing special.Food & drinks: Breakfast is poor selection and quality. Be prepared to fight for somewhere to sit.

Ideal location close to Times Square and metro 5 minutes away on foot. Clean room and up-to-date design. We had two queen size beds with a little space around them…. The room was well equipped with microwave and refrigerator. There is a 2bros pizza 1 block away and quite a few small shops around the hotel.Self-service breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m.… from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. it’s a bit of a war to access the products and find a table.Very friendly staff and free beer/wine between 5 and 6pm, nice.In my opinion, excellent value for money in New York

The price seemed a little high to me but when I saw the attention of the staff it seemed excellent, Fabricio, Yohanna, Jonathan and Edward were all very kind, the first time that I have met such kind people in a place, I was fascinated by their attention, they recommended me What places to visit, they advised me, they stored my luggage, everything was excellent, also the breakfast staff was very attentive. It was the only thing I liked about New York, thank you for making my stay pleasantFood & drinks: Breakfast A1

Rooms: Only difference we experienced is the bed; Queen or King Size. Rest is the same. But anyway - everything was clean, space was enough, but not overwhelming.Nearby activities: Location is very central, you can reach almost any sightseeings within some minutes of walking. One block away from Penn Station/ MSG.

Think of a small room, the room will turn out even smaller, nothing great, nothing kind if Marriott, water is not complimentary, now 150 USD room without complimentary water is bit too high.

This was my first time staying at this location. I was impressed with the rooms, cleanliness and the space. The room has a microwave and refrigerator. The restroom was spacious and clean. Free breakfast and coffee, tea, juices and a verity of milks. A large lobby with a bar and weekend entertainment. Happy Hour free drinks from 5:00pm -6:00pm. The hotel has the floors separated floors 1-14 and 15-27. I would stay here again. The con: There are only two elevators for each wing and during the hours of breakfast, it takes awhile to get an elevator to your floor. If you are in a hurry, you may want to leave a little earlier.Rooms: Very clean, a lot of amenities. I wrote in my post.Nearby activities: Walkable to Time Square, train and subway, Empire State Building, etc.Safety: The hotel has security 24 hours. I felt safe within the hotel. However, with my experience with safety. I did not see cameras on the floors. You need your room key to press your floor on the elevator. However, anyone can press a floor number once someone activates their room key.Walkability: A block from food and entertainment. Walkable to Time Square, Madison Square and other tourist places. However, there are homeless and teenagers and young adults who hang out on the streets. Keep your eyes open and watch your surroundings. Try not to carry a purse and keep your wallet in your front pocket. This should be a must in all tourist destinations.Food & drinks: I only ate breakfast at the hotel, I was satisfied. There are restaurants nearby steps away from the hotel and corner supermarkets. The best part, alcoholic drinks are free between 5:00pm - 6:00pm.

I know that Manhattan is an unfriendly and dirty place, and I don't expect there to be containers of rubbish and mountains of rubbish bags in front of a hotel entrance, but you just have to accept it here. Apparently the management is not able to organize this better. The room is ok, clean and quiet, that's fine. But the breakfast is an absolute disgrace. You can tell that the management doesn't care at all whether the guests feel comfortable, otherwise they would find additional staff and space so that the guests have a pleasant start to the day. Here, however, greed for profit rules over guest satisfaction. The quality is poor, eggs and potatoes cold instead of hot, something is always missing, and we would need at least twice as many places. It would be more comfortable in Grand Central Station and there would be fewer people jostling with you. They're probably ripping off tourists here and don't want regular customers.

Located close to New York Penn Station (not to be confused with Penn Station in Newark!)Great staff, nice rooms, very noisy, breakfast is ok, only the disposable dishes and cutlery take a lot of getting used to, you should plan some time at the elevators during the day, view from the room of the One Vanderbilt, safe, microwave, coffee machine and TV in the room Room

Stayed here for work. The best aspect of this hotel is its location, especially in relation to Madison Square Garden and Moynihan Train Hall! The hotel itself is very average. The staff were friendly. The lobby is basic but has a bar and breakfast area since the hotel offers complimentary breakfast. The hallways and common areas are very tight and very worn looking and feeling. The room itself was fine. It was rather small, and also felt worn and tired. But, for a few day business trip, it did the trick. I’d say this place is due for a refresh soon or need better maintenance. Overall, if you need a very basic and small room in this area in NYC for work or pleasure, then I’d recommend this place.
