Fairway still has excellent customer service and the best prices for groceries. I get items here that are not sold elsewhere. They have sections for each type of food, coffee, fresh meat and fish, olive bar, bakery and on and on. I'm recommending Fairway again this year. I'm also going to start checking the app for coupons and downloading them to my new rewards account. My advice is to get to the nearest Fairway early in the morning! No matter which location I shop it's always busy. I like this location as well as the one in my neighborhood.

Ground beef is three dollars above the national average, family packs are only marked $.10 less per pound.Update: 1 week later. 12/30. Ground beef is now only $1.50 above the national average. I can only think that Fairway adjusted the price before the holidays, knowing of course, people buy more food at this time.

Fairway is an interesting store. I always wondered if more locations would have survived had they figured out that how not to confuse customers. Many items are not grouped together and are all over the place. This location is ok, just a small selection of yogurt, frozen fruit and veggies.

The prices here are the same as any other grocery store (target and Trader Joe's) for the things I buy so that's not a factor for me thankfully, idk what everyone else is getting that is driving up their bill. In each department there is a VAST variety of options and then some. The fresh food quality hasn't let me down either. My bananas, apples, carrots, and spinach keep all week. Salmon (which comes scaled too!) keeps for 3-4 days in the fridge as expected. All of the dry goods I get are properly sealed and appear organized on the shelves and always in the same place. I took a star off cause they only sell keurig pods and not nespresso which is SO annoying but something tells me nestle is wanting people to only get their pods online or at their so inconveniently located boutiques in the city... Anyway fairway and nestle need to do better business and get their coffee products into fairway inventory

so many options here! very large grocery store for the city. prices are somewhere between trader joe’s and whole foods. there’s a lot of selection and good options for dietary restrictions. be warned - it’s extremely cold in this fairway so bring a jacket. also, make sure to bring your own bags!!

I have to mention about how bad taste crostini at the cheese department. I love to eat garlic flavored crostini but this is a bad one. I tasted burn oil what I bought at kips bay fairway. Is cost $4.99 and kind a big bag but taste is not right. They should QC for their products. Might be they still sell when they made one month ago. I am sad.

While the amount of choice here is enormous for a supermarket in Manhattan, the prices can be just as imposing. Gladly come here to find that one ingredient I cannot find at cheaper spots, or if I want something a bit more on the high end of things, but be ready to pay the price!

Been shopping here since 2017, yet one night, I was discriminated against, falsely accused of shoplifting, and even after clarifying that I’m a female, the security guard continued to misgender me. Everyone had a disgusting and disrespectful attitude. No one tried to rectify the situation. It’s all good though. God sees everything.

Everything here is extremely overpriced, if they could charge you an entry fee they would. Save your time and money and go down the street to Trader Joe's

This store (the original Fairways location) has nothing to do with the family run neighborhood market it once was. In recent years it has changed hands several time, apparently from one hedge fund to another private equity firm. All that remains is the name that gets bought and sold. It is now just another overpriced business with poor quality control and clearly unhappy and stressed employees that doesn't give a dman about its customers. It is crowded, hectic and unfriendly, and the checkout process is miserable. Oh did I mention overpriced? One example out of many: last week I stopped by to get some fresh corn and almost fell down when I saw the price for one ear of corn that didn't look all that fresh: 1.33 USD. That was, I repeat, for one (one!!) ear of corn, at the height of summer! That was the last time, and that time I decided I will never go back there. (Note: I have been living within 10 blocks of Fairways for decades.)

When I got home after shopping, I noticed an item purchased had an expired date. I returned the next day with a receipt to request an exchange. The employee helped to get a new one, included a paid sticker, and then I continued to shop. Later, he found me in the aisles and said he wasn’t supposed to accept the item because the expiration was 3 months ago and escorted me back to customer service to speak with the Asst Mgr and MOD.The three of them went back to the shelves to collect all items of the same company/flavor and showed me that the other items on the shelves had the same future expiration and that there was no way the product I returned was on the shelf the day prior. I continued to explain that an employee helped me with said item because it was something I couldn’t reach and they could view their security videos to see this interaction. They asked for the employee’s name and this type of unprofessionalism and back and forth continued.I said I should not be inconvenienced due to their staff not clearing the shelves. They replied that they consistently removed expired items and I used my experience as an example where it didn’t happen. The MOD said as a one time courtesy she will let me keep the item. I definitely did not experience any courtesy from those in a management position. The first employee (probably someone on the floor, was the most helpful).I even contacted customer service on their website and received a delayed, incoherent, and grammatically incorrect response. I replied for further clarification - silence.I loved Fairway for their selection and prices. They need to include appropriate training to ensure quality service. I have chosen not to return as a customer, after 20 years.

Been to this place multiple times unfortunately they continue to disappoint... I'm not their typical shopper so they follow me and stare at my bag like they have x-ray vision... honor the circular deals and fire the rude lady that works in the morning

Just left the Fairway market after waiting for 20 MINUTES for a cashier to be pulled out of HER break to operate one cash registrar. There were over 12 customers waiting behind me. the Self-Service line had over 15 customers waiting! If Fairway can pay millions in salaries to corporate officers, they pay cashiers MORE hrs to better serve customers!
