I have been a customer of First Republic Bank for about 7 years now, and even though I've moved out of the New York area I decided to stick with them because I've been so impressed by their customer service. They have always gone above and beyond to communicate with me and help me when I needed it. I appreciate that I can take money out from an ATM without fees (especially when overseas) and deposit checks electronically. Their app and website are user-friendly. I can give them a call or email and always hear back promptly. I'd like to express my appreciation for Denis Moiseyev who has been with me through the years. I highly recommend banking with First Republic!

Have been a client for 12 years. This bank cost me my dream home due to their inability to correctly perform an international wire transfer (error on their part). Taking over 1 week to resolve (still not resolved) Doug McNulty assigned as senior banker is non-responsive by phone/email even after days of escalation. I get novice staff who read scripts and hang up on you. It's a privilege to serve you?

This is a TERRIBLE bank! Do not move your existing account here. Customer service and customer acquisition is non existent. It was IMPOSSIBLE to set up a new account (despite significant asset) and customer service was non responsive (email and Twitter) . Stay with Chase or Citi — despite all their marketing hype of “personal banking” these guys are NO better and maybe worse.

After initial optimism about First Republic services after a seamless student loan consolidation, went back to First Republic for a home mortgage to repay them for their good service. I was surprised that despite planning to buy a home in the California Bay Area, I remained advised by my New York-based banker Anthony Stanziano, who informed me that I would qualify for far less loan via First Republic than would local competitors including Bank of the West, as well as regional/national outfits including US Bank, BBVA, and Bank of America; further First Republic would not work with a well-known employer home purchase incentive that the aforementioned banks would easily accommodate. But pandemic guidelines are institution-specific rules, so I left it at that. Later, I contacted Anthony Stanziano with a question about my student loan, with an update that we had indeed purchased a home through a competitor, and all he was interested in talking about were the details of my home mortgage. It's been a month and multiple inquires, and still no answer on the student loan question. Shame.

All the First Republic branches that I have visited are inviting and attractive with staff eager to help you.Special mention needs to be made about Denis Moiseyev who, despite Covid and all the attendant problems, takes customer service to a whole new level. No service is too much or too difficult. He is ever ready to competently help the customer. He deserves more than the five stars Yelp allows.

Got our mortgage with First Republic Bank at a very competitive rate.. and now they are my primary bank for all financial needs.. they provide great service.. Eddie Carta is my relationship manager and he is great.. my experience has been very pleasant so far as everybody is very efficient with all processes involved and a professional to deal with.

This is the most unprofessional bank I've ever dealt with. The banker insisted on meeting at her office and was then a half hour late. After a few personal insults she crowed about how much money she'd make on non-interest bearing accounts she would require us to keep as compensating balances. This was the first time in my business career that I've ever gotten up and walked out of a meeting....any meeting. And in case anyone wants to know, I have witnesses and emails as back up. Truly awful and to be avoided.

I have been a customer for more than 10 years. This office has always gone out of its way for me. - always polite, professional and gracious. All this,great service, despite the fact that I am not a "deep pocketed" big account holder. "I still feel I have my own "private banker at this office.
