Franks market should be called Scrooges Market. Their pecan and apple pies are usually $8.99 for whole pie and $4.49 for half. But Holiday season Frank needs to take everyone's money and is charging $14.99 for whole pie and $8.99 for half but only the pecan and apple (the two kinds people want for the holiday) Blatant greed. As if Frank doesn't make enough on this over priced market..... why steal during the holiday season unless you actually are Scrooge. Shame on you.

Almost every time I've bought "nice" cheese here, it goes moldy or slimy within a few days, especially if it's on sale. The prices aren't much better than a store like Zabar's where I've never had the same kind of problem.

After shopping at Frank's Market Place, this Sunday Morning, of Sept. 03, 2023, I have to say that I was quite disappointed with the impatience of the employees. You go up to the register, and no cashier is present. I go to the self- service machine, ,, which is my first time using, and out of nowhere the cashier impatiently tells me what button that I should press. I expressed my thoughts, and told him that if he was up, at the register, and the establishment had more cashiers, at that time, then I wouldn't have to be using the self-service machine. I also told the cashier that, he needs to be more patient with people. This happened around 7:21, this morning. It seems people are more comfortable with electronic than person to person communication. I've patronized Frank's Market Place, for numerous years, and would expect better quality service, from the employees. Thank you. This is Mr. Taharka Omowale.

Dead flowers, rotten meat, and sour fruit, all for prices three times what you pay at Whole Foods. I live a few blocks away but I make sure to shop elsewhere. Only an emergency will get me into Frank's.

This is a cute neighbourhood shop and has some very nice things, however: check your expiration dates. They literally don't care. Just the other day I wanted to get a diaper cream for a baby, and I found that all 6 tubes on the shelf were expired, some by a year, and some by a few months. So I gave them to the cashier and said they were all expired. And guess what? Today they were all back on the shelf! All 6 of them, with the same expiration dates! They just don't care one bit. So fend for yourself, check everything

I always enjoy shopping at Frank's Market. I usually go in with a shopping list but come out with extra unexpected items that looked interesting. Their pre-made foods are delicious, especially their soups. I can find every item I need here and more! The only downside is that the aisles can be quite small and get crowded during busy shopping times but I actually quite enjoyed the crowded interior!

Spoiled meat I purchased 2 racks of lamb that were both rotten all green upon opening and smelled horrible. I literally opened the meat the morning after purchase it says sells by 2/14I spent $40 on meat for my sons birthday dinner and it was ruined. To make matters worse, when I tried to call the store no one would answer the phone after the first call requesting a manger. I am saddened by this

Very bad customer service. This female clerk who was ringing me up, didn’t even ask me if I needed a shopping bag, she didn’t help me bag in the products I purchased, while she was chatting with another colleague about girl friend-boy friend relationship...totally unprofessional...

I've been shopping here since the owners were kids behind the butcher counter. They are both extremely nice people. It is with pleasure that I patronize their local shop, and appreciate their fine selection of first rate products. Thanks for getting me through the pandemic! Those Belgium crepes with locally grown sour cherries were my thing!

The biggest ripoff in New York, period! Shopping at this place is nothing less than insulting. I've also caught them on multiple occasions overcharging at the checkout due to incorrect scale weight. GREED should be their new name. Inflation has given them an excuse to rake the neighborhood residents more than any supermarket in the city.

How should a local grocer treat its customers? My family goes to Franks between 10 to 15 times a week (well we use to). Today my wife and daughter bought a pint of heavy cream to make my daughters favorite dish Lemon Pasta. The cream was bad and it ruined the sauce, not really a problem Franks is so close I will just return it.We could not find the receipt but surely it won't be an issue, right? It was, when I explained what had happened with the empty pint in hand I was told #1 its empty and #2 I didn't have a receipt. And I was asked what I wanted them to do.Not sorry, not, no problem, just a feeling that I was trying to get over on them for a pint of heavy cream.Ozzies Market is only about 30 seconds down the block.

Ohh my all the cheeses. The fresh veggies were wonderful. I found my chobani creamer easily which the other store down the street didn't have. Unlike my Publix at home which is huge, this has everything in a small concentrated area.

Great food if you have the money for it. This market is in what has always been the nice part of Washington Heights and, now that it's been fully gentrified, the market is overrun with yuppies and hipsters. It's also really expensive. The reason I gave it five stars is because it sells really high quality food, including deli food that doesn't need to be prepared, as well as some very high quality beers (including Trappistes Rochefort). This market also has a lot of gourmet and organic products which are difficult to find elsewhere in the neighbourhood, but again, if you have the money for it.
