My girlfriend wanted to buy me a gift at the store today. she asked the register to see a controller and asked a few questions and if she could see the inside. The store employee literally grabbed the box back and put it on the back counter when my girlfriend was still deciding! The system also crashed from 10 min and so she waited to get the gift. When it was back, she was told that they will not allow Apple Pay. She had to walk to the bank and with draw. Upon returning the store, she had to wait in line again where there was only one guy at the front. The store manager offered to start checkout and she followed her behind the customer ahead of her. Unexpected, the manager asked her to move back to the side of the line and wait. This whole process of purchasing a simple gift took her 45 minutes and was treated poorly. Very rude customer service.

My friend recommended me a Pokémon game and I accidentally bought the wrong one.Totally my fault, but I threw away the receipt right when I bought it. When I went back to attempt to return it, the HORRIBLE manager refused, not because I didn’t have a receipt, but because the game was fake… a game I bought from them a day before.Moral of the story. If you buy something here it might be fake so keep your receipt to make sure they take their trash back.

It was so cool, They have consoles to try out, and other things for a gaming setup. My only concern is the PlayStation games and other PS stuff is closed off

The only reason to shop at Gamestop is they bought Funcoland and EB games, so there's no other choice anymore. The staff is always subpar at a Gamestop, but don't blame the entry level associates, they are usually young and trying their best. There's nothing wrong with being a sales org owned by asset managers, but GS takes the game to a stranger and more soulless level.Last time I went in, I was told I had to join their membership club (which costs money) to be allowed to buy a PS5!What I like about them is the Nintendo gear they carry, thanks largely to Nintendo. The used stuff is nice to have too. They stopped repairing consoles, and God forbid they sell you a faulty gift card, you will be out of luck and they will make you argue with the gift card company for your money back, which will usually refer you back to Gamestop.I had to haggle with Nintendo for a week to get my money back, and they looked out for me eventually. Gamestop left me hanging out to dry.The management culture in Gamestop is not customer friendly, and their company culture is not great. They have a lot of turnover. I feel bad for people who work there, they expect you to offer them your full schedule so they can give you bareley part time, if you're job hunting, skip this company unless you're 18.The Union Sq. location is ok, with an ok selection of merch. They will have you wait in line for a while, so don't try to get something if you are in a hurry. If you stand by the window near closing time to look at stuff, even with the door closed, a staff member will aggressively signal to you to go away because they are closed. What a miserable atmosphere.Do not bring your kids to this overpriced customer service dumpster fire.I'll end on a positive note, Gamestop associates usually know a lot about games, so you can ask them questions about games when looking for a gift.

DO NOT AND I SAY DO NOT GO HERE, worse customer service ever, they don’t clean their plushes and it’s always dirty, I won’t be surprised if they have bugs. The employees are hopeless and don’t actually help people when needed, this GameStop needs to close down.

It’s an ok store. Smells like dried cum stained socks. Be careful, store employees will add additional charges (extended warranty for an additional price) without telling you or you consenting to it. I’ve had to tell them to correct the fees and to not do that. “My bad bro” does not go far enough for sneaky underhanded tactics like these.

Be careful buying anything from here. Employees will lie just to make a sale. They actually know very little about what they're talking about. Avoid this place and do your shopping at any local stores or save yourself the trouble and order online.Gamestop is sure to be closing soon anyway. With half the store dedicate to Funko Pop and low quality figures, Gamestop is going the way of Blockbuster. Better off this way since trying to push reservations/join their membership program is all they really care about. Shop anywhere else as this place is terrible
