Avocado said 3 for $5.00 yet the cashier made me go back to pick up a different avocado. If. Avocados are placed in the wrong area. Is that the customer fault?

The people in the fish department (I don’t know if there’s a rotation of staff there but I dealt with an Asian man and woman) will yell at you if you ask questions about the fish they sell????My mom’s bought salmon fish heads in two occasions for soup and every time she gets home their smell rotten. This time I decided to go with her since her English is limited. I explained to the man what happened before so I asked if the heads were fresh and he snapped back at me saying who cares just take the fish “you don’t think you just buy” ?? Huh?? The woman also got defensive and started saying something it was a bit incoherent so I didn’t say anything back to her— she was also being rude and at that point it wasn’t worth saying anything. However, as a consumer, I think I’m entitled to ask before buying?? I’m not about to spend money on something I can’t even consume. I don’t have money to throw away like that. The fact that they take inquiry personal and get defensive says a lot about their character and how they do business. So BEWARE⚠️ they might be repackaging a lot of their fish to make it look appealing only to find it’s rancid food when you get home.

Do NOT order from this place (aka Eden Patisserie on UberEats). I have ordered from them multiple times, and in many instances, they send the wrong item. If the item is out of stock, they could call and ask about replacements, but they never call.Yesterday, I ordered 2 slices of cake. One of them was the wrong flavor and the other one was so old, it had soured. How can they sell food like this?!

The one negative thing is the cashiers are exceptionally rude 9 out of 10 times I go in. They don't need to be friendly, but they are sometimes aggressively unfriendly - and I'm always a polite person. If the management is interested in improving customer experience, I would consider asking the cashiers to not act like they hate the customers. other than that, this is a decent grocery, clean, fresh produce, great plants and the manager has been helpful.

They close at 9 pm on Sunday. I was at the broadway location at 8:50 pm to grab a couple of things and they had already locked the doors and wouldn’t let me in. Disappointing

Overpriced overall, and no paper bags so you're stuck with their overpriced brand bag if you ever forget your own.

Great salad bar with lots of unique vegetarian options that becomes half off after 8pm. The store is quite pricy, but I did find their produce selection to be good, and slightly better than some of the other stores I purchased produce from. I mostly would run in here in the evening to get salad or fruit, I would not consider shopping here for other products due to price and selection.

I've shopped here for years. If you are purchasing certain items (like basic produce) you can generally avoid the extreme price gouging (ridiculous cheese prices for instance). But the store will try to pass off things like apples that have mold inside (dark areas that radiate from the center of the white part of the apple. When I tried to return a bag of these they wouldn't accept it, asking- "how long ago did you buy this?" I didn't have the receipt to prove I had bought them two days previously. So I stopped buying the apples that come in loose bags. I tried to avoid the mold problem by buying one of their pre-packaged plastic bags of apples (these are more expensive). Nine of the ten apples in this bag were fine, but the tenth had the same mold problem. This means they actually try to unload the bad apples by opening up the pre-packaged bags and replacing the tenth good apple with a bad one. Does the manager thinks this is not being noticed? It makes me wonder what other tricks are being attempted. The cashiers are generally good, but be sure to get a receipt and check it carefully. And don't shop here within one hour of closing time. You'll be treated as just an annoyance, and all the outside produce carts will be in the store aisles blocking access to many of the shelves. The employees just want to go home, which I can understand, but I would probably shop here more often if these problems didn't exist.

Been shopping there 10 years. Bought a 9$ piece of Fresh Mozzarella Cheese. It tasted off. I never return stuff but this time I did. The cheese was only missing the small slice I tasted. The wrapper still had the Garden of Eden Label as well as the bar code. The manager refused to take it back without the receipt. "That's the store policy" I told him I wouldn't be shopping there again. He shrugged and said o.k. Be warned! Rotten food , no refunds.
