At best there's a 50% chance this place is actually open during business hours. Most of the time there's a sign on the door that says "Be back soon!"If you actually want to buy something, I would suggest walking to the VitaminShoppe around the corner on 86th

The whole point of doing pickup is to be able to grab your order and go. Well with two people working in the store and one of them just staring into the computer and the other taking his time with checkout these vitamins became $115 more expensive because of the ticket I received. Literally told one of them and he started moving faster whereas the other didn’t even lift his head. I’ll do pickup orders elsewhere.

I was at Upper East Side, NY City GNC today at 5:40pm. I’m a customer there and have all my information in the system for the points/discounts program the store offers.Anyway, I was checking out what’s new on the protein powder section in the back of the store and the sales woman kept checking on me but in a very rude manner after I told her I was fine a couple of times.I choose my protein power and proceeded to get protein bars. A few of the bars were on the lower shelf, so I squatted to pick them up. Keep in mind my phone was in my jacket pocket and I was checking my phone all the time. Suddenly the sales person comes and asks if I put any of the bars in my pockets. She asked me if I was stealing. I took my phone out of my pocket and showed her and proceed to asked why was she asking if I was stealing. I feel humiliated because she had no reason to think that, but my color and ethnicity. Of course I left everything I picked behind. I do not support business that discriminate against different ethnicities. I’m a proud mixed latina and I will check what cannot do regarding that situation.

Although I never write reviews, my initial thoughts were to write a positive one. My first concern is that there should be a cancellation option like on most websites like Amazon if you at least made an online buy within 24 hours since I wanted to get the discounted pricing but forgot a product when I first made the order so I had to reorder everything. I came into the store and asked if I could keep certain things and return others because I was in a pickle and was frustrated. At first, Morjina was of assistance.Despite GNC's refund policy stating that you can return to any GNC store, I traveled all the way to 125th to avoid going back to this one. However, it appears that the 125th site was unable to refund me and had to walk back to 86th once again. As annoying as this was for me, supplements are expensive, so I wanted to return them as soon as possible. When I came back, I did not feel welcomed. I immediately sensed Morjina's irritation at having to help me once more. After our first contact, it was quite unfortunate.I wasn't happy with the way the transaction ended because she didn't even say your welcome when I thanked her for helping me a second time or wish me a good day like she had at the beginning. She tossed the item I had returned on the counter and made a nasty comment about how ordering online was pointless and had complicated things with her agitated body language. I wouldn't have if it weren't for Cyber Monday. Future, please avoid coming here if you are just starting to exercise and incorporate supplements into your routine. She clearly lost her cool. I've worked in retail, and while customers can be annoying, you should always be nice, maintain your poise, and be professional. I made my first purchase from this store, and I probably won't do so again or recommend it to others. Based on the ratings they have already received, I should have known better.

I was relieved that this store had the prenatal vitamin I needed in a pinch. However, there were a number of other problems with my visit.First, the same product would've been about $18 cheaper at the local pharmacy where I usually buy it. I was also unhappy that the cashier insisted on me giving both my phone number and my email address in order to make a purchase. This felt so intrusive. I tried to politely decline but was told I couldn't buy the vitamins unless I did. Finally, the front door of the shop was locked and while we shopped and had to be unlocked by the cashier for us to exit—I'm sure this was an anti-theft measure, but it felt unsafe not to mention a little creepy. Another customer mention how unsafe this felt to the cashier and the cashier was not kind about it. Will not be going back to this store.

I went into GNC on 85th and 2nd avenue on Sunday 1/30/2022 and I tried to buy a GNC product. When I was asked my phone number and/or email address I said no thanks politely. He then responded, I am not allowed to ring anyone up without providing this. I said I do not have this, please ring me up and I will pay. He then said thank you, I cannot ring you up with out this information. I then said I don’t want to provide this, I still want to purchase GNC products today. He said that’s fine, have a nice day, I am not allowed to ring you up. I said ok, and I walked away, refused service…This is crazy, is it really GNC’s policy now that they refuse service based on if you do not provide a phone number or email address you cannot but a product?!? This is complete discrimination. I will be continuing this complaint to the highest level.
