The staff in this Goodwill is so rude. The store closes at 7 pm and, because I work, I went to drop off clothes for donations at 6:45 pm (I showed up 15 minutes before closing, which is reasonable). One male employee was smoking outside and one female employee was guarding the door from the inside. As I approached to clearly drop off donations (that fit in 1 bag), the male complained that they close at 7 and that my visit was basically too close to closing time, so I said I didn’t know (meaning I didn’t know you couldn’t just drop off a bag of donations within 15 minutes of closing time, it’s not like I need to spend any time there, they can just leave it inside for the night and deal with it the next day). The male told me to leave it inside just at the entrance, and the female said in a very mean tone “everybody says they didn’t know”, so I said “excuse me for giving you free clothes” and she responded immediately “I don’t care about your clothes”. I told her to go **** herself, took my bag and left. I dropped it off at Housing Works 5 minutes away, they close at the same time and they gladly took the bag without hesitation, even offered a receipt, and were super nice, and never made me feel like this was any inconvenience. The people at this Goodwill are so condescending and clearly don’t have any sense of professionalism.I don’t see why they can’t let someone drop off their donation and leave it sit in the store overnight, I don’t see how this represents an obstacle in them going home on time.

Not as big as the Goodwill in Stamford CT. If you like to Trift shop it's a great place

Today I went to Goodwill to donate a small bag of kitchen supplies. Upon arrival I walked to the fairly empty donation area and was loudly told from an employee that they were not accepting any more donations and that I should try another location.I said "ok" and stood for a moment to think about what to do (try the other location, go straight home, etc.). He proceeded to yell that they were not accepting donations. I told him I was leaving, and that there was no reason to yell. He told me I wasn't listening and continued to yell at me.I left the store and then re-entered and told him I'd like to speak to his manager. He said his manager would say the same thing, that they were not accepting donations. I said it's not about the donations - I do not deserve to be spoken to that way. He then proceeded to ignore me. I asked for his name, nothing. I stood by the door and waited for his manager. He continued to ignore me.His manager eventually came 15 minutes later and apologized. Again, this is not about the donations, but being yelled and berated by someone who is clearly taking their frustration out at you. It's unpleasant and uncalled for.

Regularly the prices are ridiculously exaggerated, one block over is TJ MAXX and clothingNew and cheaper, I understand it's a charity shop. But it's not worth the price or the clothes in very bad condition, bad smell. And I have seen them reject things that arrive to donate, according to them (they are at full capacity). This kind of store is really not worth it.

Pretty decent thrift store with lots of options . I feel it was more geared towards skinny woman but you can find a few gems .

tldr: unwritten (and questionably real) rules around donation times, will be donating elsewhere. We tried to donate clothes and were told by evening staff that they stop accepting donations at 6pm (1 hour before closing). I cannot find this policy anywhere on Goodwill's website or anywhere related to the location. From the outside, the bins were clearly not full. A store employee said that I should have called and then I would have known. If this is an official policy, put it explicitly on the store and where people look. It sounds like it was something informal for this particular group of staff.I'll be avoiding this location and going to ones without unwritten rules you have to call to know about. We had taken a cab and dropped off en route to another event, so left the items where we usually leave our donations - I certainly hope the staff didn't just throw them out, as other reviewers seem to have noted.

Staff were very rude. Came to donate three bags of clothes and the staff blatantly ignored me when I was asking for help. Will not be donating here again.

Employees are super rude and obviously don't want to help when I call or ask them. I just got off the phone with the first employee who told me I would have to come in and check it out for myself when the electronics downstairs are only accessable to employees.

Store was wonderfully organized and well-kept but prices are off. I went looking for some wall art, mainly to use the frames and put in a new picture. There was a faded framed Winnie the Pooh print with a broken corner for $20. I went across the street to TJMaxx and bought a brand new one, twice the size, brand new, actually nice artwork for $17. I'm not even obsessed with bargains. I'm trying to waste less and give items a second chance before the dump. But these prices are way off the mark for a Goodwill. On our way out my toddler saw a balance bike in fair condition for $20. It retails for $30. Dang.
