After much contemplation, my encounter with Guidepost at Museum Mile did not quite meet the high expectations my family had set. We were initially captivated by the school’s vibrant location and its promise of a diverse, multicultural environment, akin to the global community we sought for our child. The allure of the school’s stunning architectural presence and its strategic proximity to Central Park presented a compelling case for us, emphasizing a competitive edge that is hard to find elsewhere. However, despite the undeniable appeal of the school’s facilities and location, our experience was marred by concerns over the actual extent of diversity within the student body. Our journey took a further detour during an initial Zoom meeting set up with our child’s prospective teacher. Technical difficulties on our part led to a delayed entry into the meeting. Despite our efforts to communicate these issues promptly via email, we were greeted with silence and subsequently found ourselves perplexed by the teacher’s premature departure from the meeting without notice. The lack of immediate communication and the dismissive tone of a later email response highlighted a gap in understanding and flexibility we had not anticipated, prompting serious reservations about future interactions. In light of these experiences, we made the difficult decision to withdraw our child from enrollment. This decision was not made lightly, particularly given the school’s responsive leadership team, which showed commendable initiative in attempting to rectify our concerns. Their efforts do not go unrecognized and reflect a positive aspect of the institution’s ethos. Thus, my review settles at two stars, acknowledging both the school’s unmatched setting and architectural beauty, and the areas where our expectations were unmet. It is my hope that this critique serves as constructive insight, encouraging Guidepost at Museum Mile to foster greater communication and embrace the full spectrum of diversity it aspires to represent.

We roamed to this center in April 2023 from our original location. My 3yo son attended this school for a week. It's great to know that you can leave your kids in a safe place while traveling, and I love that we can use any of the GPM centers around the world. Everyone was very supportive while my son was there, he enjoyed a lot of extracurricular activities and playing in Central Park. When we traveled to NYC again in October 2023, he really wanted to go back to this location however we had to choose a different one because this location doesn't have a Nido program and we needed care for my daughter as well.

Our daughter has had an enriching experience at Guidepost Montessori at Museum Mile. Her independence has grown tremendously, and she loves to learn. The guides are wonderful and are true partners in our daughter’s education.

Our son loves Guidepost Montessori - Museum Mile. The teachers are wonderful, they're kind, skilled and completely invested in the children. The classrooms are set up beautifully, and true to the Montessori way. The after school classes are varied and interesting, and we love the option of having them. I also love that the children go to Central Park every day.One of the best thing as a parent is that communication with the school is brilliant. You're always kept up to date on what the children are doing and learning, there's opportunities for one-to-one touch points, regular newsletters, and I always feel reassured that I know what's going on with my child.I have also noticed how much more independent and confident my little boy has become in such a short time there and I'm so pleased we chose this school!

Our son just started pre-school at Museum Mile and we are so happy with the experience he has been having. Teachers are warm and friendly, knowledgeable and show genuine care for the students. Student to teacher ratio is wonderful. The enviornment in class is calm and aesthetically beautiful. Our son loves working with the Montessori materials and comes home excited to tell us about his day, his friends, what he learned… his time at the park. We couldn’t be happier with our decision to have enrolled our son at Guidepost Montessori Museum Mile. Apart from it providing a stimulating space for learning it also gives us and him a sense of ease, that he is at a place where human connection is valued and nourished.

Attentative teachers who guide children through thei daily schedule with care and professionalism and a team of admin staff always available and who establish a relation of mutual trust with families. It is a lovely environment, where children engage with their peers, spend time outdoors and in nearby museums. My daughter has gone there for going on a year, since 2 years and a few months, and I'm blown away. It isn't just busy work or child care but the application of everything Maria Montessori articulates about a system for child development made real. The children learn to work together and build confidence in taking independent action. The Guides (teachers) take lots of photos of your child throughout the day so you can actually see them as they learn to draw, count, look at maps, play, and even learn to clean.I can't recommend Guidepost enough. Hopefully, this is the future of education in the US.

Guidepost Museum Mile is a great campus and we have been blessed to be a part of the community since its opening in 2019. Andrew and Sarah have created a warm and welcoming school environment where each student feels special. Miss Hannah, Miss Jewel, and Miss Ruth Ann in Children's House have a great classroom in Children's House and give each child individualized attention.Would highly recommend this campus. As a bonus, the children go to Central Park and neighborhood amenities for field trips and recess!

Truly wonderful - we highly recommend (as current parents). Great location on Museum Mile, right on nature’s doorstep. If you are looking for a small, diverse and welcoming school community for (almost) all ages, a beautiful learning environment with dedicated Montessori materials and incredible guides - then you found it! Give the leadership team an opportunity to convince you, you won’t regret it!
