I prepaid $700 for makeup and hair for an event and he didn’t show and was nowhere to be found.

I had the same problem that many other reviewers have commented on. I prepaid Hayden $175 for a highlight session. He said he was going to purchase the products needed prior to my service so he needed payment upfront. He then said that my $175 PayPal payment never went through so he asked me to send it again via Apple Pay (another $175). $350 later and he canceled our appointment last minute and I've never heard from him again since. These two payments were both considered personal transactions through PayPal and Apple Pay so there was no way of getting the money back. Such a sad situation. He was so talented and charming. I didn't realize that he was a crook until it was too late.

Hayden is amazing he’s so good with color. I like to keep my hair long and he doesn’t cut too much but keeps my ends looking healthy. IDK what’s going on with these reviews. Hayden is epic!

Went to Hayden for 3 years especially for color (truly great!), but had similar experiences as other customers. He's become a flake and slightly unstable. The last three appointments I had with him had super annoying last minute rescheduling issues from his end. One time he allegedly didn't have power and tried to move the appointment around all day (I called the front salon -- they had power); another time he pushed me back over an hour at the last second for an appointment I scheduled during my lunch hour. He also had the audacity to charge me for a 50% cancellation fee when I couldn't make his new times! After that, I said no more. It was too stressful to deal with someone who couldn't keep his commitments to his customers. Clients find the time and money to come take care of ourselves, and expect stylists to make it an enjoyable and peaceful experience in return. Hayden failed at this and left me in the lurch more than once.

I do believe the reviews here saying customer cards have been charged; without appointments & then no refunding. I had an appointment canceled at the last minute with a strange excuse. Thank goodness I had planned to pay in cash so my card wasn't involved. He's very talented but clearly something is amiss right now. I hope he finds his way because, when he's present & well, his cuts and color are fabulous.

DO NOT use this salon. My card was charged for $450 out of nowhere and was never refunded. In all fairness, I have been to Hayden's salon a few times and was very satisfied with the results. However, because of recent events, I recommend that you do not visit this salon. It had been a few months since I had visited Hayden and gotten a haircut that I paid for immediately following my appointment with my credit card that was on file. A few months later, I woke up to an email receipt from Hayden's business for a custom amount of $400, on top of taxes which totaled about $450, signed with a signature that was not mine. The payment was made using my card that I had on file. I texted him, giving him the benefit of the doubt as it may had been a mistake. He told me the payment was indeed a mistake (blaming either Square or his assistant) and would be refunded immediately. After a week of follow ups with Hayden and empty promises and vague reponses, the charge on my card had still not been refunded. Hayden had orginally advised me not to dispute the charge with my bank, but as this charge was for a huge amount of money (that I don't particularly have "laying around"), I let Hayden know that I was extremely disappointed and was going to dispute the charge. Similarly, the same thing happened to my friend who recieved a faulty charge on her card from his business, to which he sent her vague responses as well, and did not ever refund her either. I don't know the whole story, but I believe that perhaps Hayden was in need of quick money and used me as a victim. I don't know if he ever intended on refunding my charge, becuase when I spoke to the bank they told me they did not see any reversals on the payment. Overall, I am extremely disappointed and would advise any future customers to not book with Hayden.

This is a scam. I prepaid because I trusted him and then he didn't show. Do NOT GO HERE

This was definitely a huge disappoint. After going here for years and even referring friends I was also scammed. I had tried to schedule a few appointments that were then cancelled my Hayden, yet I was still charged the cancellation fee each time. The excuses for cancellations were getting outrageous and I finally gave up trying to see him. Then in May I was charged over $400 for services I never went in for. Same thing as the others, forged signatures, no response, and finally after two weeks a text message to not report this to my credit card company. Wishing Hayden the best but this was extremely disheartening that his business has gone downhill fast.

Sadly, Hayden Kings no longer maintains a professional, honest business. He CAN NOT KEEP HIS APPOINTMENTS nor does he maintain his Square-Up account which resulted in HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS OF INCORRECT CHARGES TO MY CREDIT CARD when I had paid in cash. HAYDEN LIED TO ME about crediting my bank account and again to bank investigators. I CAN NOT ENDORSE HAYDEN KINGS AS A DEPENDABLE TALENT NOR AS AN HONEST BUSINESSMAN.

DO NOT GO HERE and DON'T GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD. This place is a scam. After I made an appointment online I was charged almost $400. I Texted Hayden, who responded promptly, Apologizing and offering a refund. His text is word for word similar to another yelp reviews text received from Hayden; see paste below. Check out Yelp, he has done this to many people. I still showed up to my appointment, after waiting 30 mins and texting Hayden, I was told he burnt his hand on set during a Tory Burch shoot and that he needed to reschedule. He is elaborate with his lies, he even took a picture of his injured hand. Things seemed a bit fishy so I declined the reschedule, so glad I did. Sounds like he has done this to multiple people and is clearly stealing money from his clients. I have reached out asking about my refund and no response. He is stealing money - don't trust him.

DO NOT GO HERE and DON'T GIVE YOUR CREDIT CARD. This place is a scam. After I made an appointment online I was charged almost $400 on my credit card (square receipt shows a charge at 12am with a forged signature). I Texted Hayden, who responded promptly, Apologizing and offering a refund. His text is word for word similar to another yelp reviews text received from Hayden; see paste below. I still showed up to my regularly scheduled appointment (after believing Hayden would reimburse the mistake). After waiting 30 mins and texting Hayden, I was told he burnt his hand on set during a Tory Burch shoot and that he needed to reschedule. He is elaborate with his lies, he even took a picture of his injured hand; I believed him at the time... Things seemed a bit fishy so I declined the reschedule; so glad I did. Sounds like he has done this to multiple people and is clearly stealing money from his trusting clients. I reached out a second time asking about my refund and no response. He is stealing money - don't trust him. Text received: Thank you for being patient while I checked on the charges that where on your cards. You will have a refund in 5-7 business days. Please refrain from disputing the charges or claiming fraud as it can take as long as 90 days to get a refund. I am still looking into why my manager or square made charges to your card. Please let me know when you receive the refund. I am very sorry for any stress this has caused. *for the record, after calling my bank about the fraudulent charges they told me 5-7 business days, not 90; yet another lie from Hayden.

Like the others in recent posts I've also had my credit card charged witout having visited the salon since Nov and no call back to fix the issues. Recent attempts at appointments from friends and family who I've referred have resulted in cancellations and rescheduling.

BEWARE!!!!! FRAUD!!!! Hayden's salon has charged me over $700 the last two months and I haven't been to get a haircut since 2018. I received an erroneous charge in April and then again two weeks later in May. I contacted Hayden when it first happened and he said he would credit the charge. He did not. The second time it happened, he also said he would credit the charge. He did not. I then reported the transactions as fraud (note: he produced fake receipts with FAKE signatures). He is a gifted stylist, but do not give him or his salon your credit card information. Ever.

SCAM ALERT!! I am so shocked and surprised that I have to write this review, because I have been a client at Hayden Kings Salon for over 2 years and never had any problems until now. In fact, I have always loved going here and enjoyed every service I have gotten, but that doesn't change the fact that this salon recently tried to literally steal money from me and has starting scamming its customers. When you make an appointment here, they have you put in a credit card on file to charge in case of a cancellation, and even have you pay half upfront for some services. I have not been in to HKS since December when I last got a haircut, but just a few weeks ago on May 12th (a Sunday) I received an email notification of a receipt from the salon at 6:18 in the morning saying I had been charged $384.40 for a hair cut and highlighting session, then another email at 7:05 am saying I had been charged $311.15 for highlights and a gloss treatment. Two high-price, labor intensive dye jobs on the same day within an hour of each other, both before the salons scheduled opening time. And on top of that, the receipt shows signatures for the payments that are clearly fraudulent and not mine, and they don't match the signatures on past receipts I have from the salon. I of course tried calling the salon immediately after they were scheduled to open that day, only to find the usual phone menu replaced with an auto-direct to a voice mail box. I sent emails and left a message, and even called Salon Jatel, the salon Hayden works out of, to see if he was in that day and I could speak to him, but they said he hadn't shown up in a while and certainly wasn't there that day. I got an email reply that day from HKS saying: "Thank you for being patient while I checked on the charges that where on your cards. You will have a refund in 5-7 business days. Please refrain from disputing the charges or claiming fraud as it can take as long as 90 days to get a refund. I am still looking into why my manager or square made charges to your card. Please let me know when you receive the refund. I am very sorry for any stress this has caused." Fast forward two weeks to now, May 28th, I still have not received a refund and no one is replying to my calls or emails anymore. I called Salon Jatel again to see if he was in today and if they could put him on for me, but the man who answered the phone there said Hayden had not been in for weeks and said something along the lines of "oh no, did he try to steal money from you, too? Other clients have been calling and saying the same thing, and he hasn't been paying rent here or showing up for appointments latently." I don't know what happened in the past few weeks, or why a salon I was totally loyal to would suddenly flip on me and try to steal from me, but this is totally unacceptable and I would advise extreme caution if you try booking anything with Hayden Kings Salon. Also, just FYI, I called the bank and reported the charges as fraud and they said they will have a refund to me in 2 days, so that 'it can take up to 90 days' spiel was total bull!
