I went to Hertz Car Rental to rent a vehicle don't need downside is because the original Hertz location at the Stamford railroad station is no longer available I have to go 20 more minutes to a Hertz office to rent a vehicle which I think is the stupidest thing Hertz could have done by closing this location. The 4-star rating is because of the location by the railroad station being closed however the staff has always been kind to me and professional never had an issue the cars are always clean and the people that take care of the cars do a very good job

Despite having a reservation they did not have a car available for us. It caused MAJOR compliations to our vacation and cost me three times as much time and money in the end to use another company at the last minute. Will never trust them again.

Unethical and unprofessional treatment of customers. This particular location conducts business in a way that is unjust to customers and is ultimately trickery/scamming.Just to validate my story, my Hertz rental record number is 546842063. The manager at this location (a shorter African-American male who wears glasses and sits in his own office) and his poorly-trained agent verbally misquoted my rate for just one day when I simply asked them "How much would it cost me to rent a car for today that will be returned to Boston tomorrow evening?".. and then all of a sudden I get slapped with a bill of over $500 when originally $260 was quoted to me for the duration of my trip; and not to forget to mention, that $260 had about $40 of hidden fees built into it that were not verbalized to me at the time of signing. Also, the car I received had a dysfunctional radio (imagine driving 10 hours without a music system that works correctly). When I communicated this to the manager, he simply told me that essentially it is my word versus his associate's word and that he can only go by what's on the contract; and I made it very clear to him that I would have never signed the lease contract if his agent had given me the correct quote for the duration of time that I specified.Ultimately, there were a number of issues during my whole experience at this Hertz location:1) The agent did not verbally explain to me the breakdown of charges.2) The agent mis-recorded in her system the actual duration of my trip and therefore quoted me an incorrect price-- which I naturally agreed to and signed because of her inputting mistake.3) The agent at the Boston Logan return location did not check in my car until 5AM on 4/6 when in fact the return was on 4/5 at 9PM.4) When I went to dispute the bill with the manager at the NYC location, he pulled me into his office without any protective barrier/social distancing between himself and me during Covid.5) The NYC manager stood up mid-conversation to help another customer.6) The NYC manager refused to believe my story despite me being a loyal Hertz customer of several years.7) The NYC manager did not reimburse me even a penny, not even for the broken radio.No wonder this location has such terrible reviews-- very deserving of it. Protect your funds, don't come to this location or just do ZipCar.

This is the nearest Hertz location from my current apartment and I rented cars from this place several times. Staffs are professional and cooperative. They fixed a technical payment issue when I used points to rent a car and returned to a different location. Cars are always kept in better conditions than other locations I used before. Thank you for the hard work especially during the tough environment with covid-19.

We were upgraded which was a nice surprise. There is a long wait on pick up so get there plenty ahead of time. Pricing high but probably standard for NY.

The parking process was mediocre, but retrieving my car was an extremely negative experience. When I spoke to the hertz staff member I was informed I needed a physical parking ticket. This ticket was not issued to me when I dropped my car off. After explaining to staff that I was never given a slip, I was accused of throwing the slip aside immediately. Neither of the staff were present when I dropped my car off, yet they spoke to me as if they knew my actions. Both staff members telling me this were extremely rude and accusing. I feel strongly disrespected. Would not recommend.

Thank you, Waterton for saving the day! After your competitor canceled our pre-paid reservation on the day of our trip, Mr. Waterton helped us get a rental at Hertz on the spot. He was very professional, efficient and reassuring which allowed us to arrive at our destination on time. Customer service at this location is excellent. Thanks again for making our vacation possible.

I met a lovely station manager in NYC - 500w 43 str - who gave me all the intructions NEVER received in the other Hertz sites, but I' m very Angry with the bad services offered in Boston which one I make a legal claim for the defected car rent!
