The best camera store in all of New York! You can find many vintage cameras here. I bought a well-preserved Handycam here, and the lady working there patiently taught me how to use it. When it comes to buying old cameras, offline stores are always more reliable than online shopping. The staff and the store manager are all very nice. I highly recommend everyone to visit this store.

Friendly staff and very efficient. I told them that I needed my laptop fixed soon since my classes were starting, and they fixed it within the next day. My laptop feels as sturdy as when I first got it!I was able to get it fixed for half the cost compared to other places in Manhatten. Being a student this was really helpful. Thanks again guys!

This place is great! Frank was super helpful and repaired my machine for me when others told me they couldn’t. Quick turnaround and great communication. As a bonus, the store is practically a museum of rare and vintage electronics, you feel like you’re stepping back in time! Worth checking out even if you have nothing to be fixed.

Probably one of the coolest stores in whole of New York! The sheer amount of coolness is hard to describe, you have to see it for yourself. The owner is really friendly and makes the whole place feel so positive. Even if you’re not buying any retro sound equipment, just pop it to soak up the vibe this place has. Don’t miss out on it!

My amp for my stereo was very slightly broken, but I was too afraid to fix it myself for fear of breaking it more. I took it here and the gentlemen fixed it within five minutes and didn’t charge me. A fixture in the LES! Highly recommend!

Needed my Roland GX-24 vinyl plotter repaired today and Hi Tech Electronic Service Center came to the rescue. They completed the repair in a matter of hours. It's a beautiful shop with a lot of character, an impressive array of vintage consumer electronics, and all flavor of New Yorker coming in and out (making for great people watching and conversation eavesdropping). It businesses like these that make New York a unique beautiful place - Long Live Hi-Tech Electronic Service Center

This is a hidden gem in NYC. Located in Chinatown, this electronics repair business is outstanding and one of a kind. The owner, Frank, has been extremely kind and helpful to me in my business. Very quick turnaround time and extremely honest and fair pricing! Please go give this local business some love and bring in your TV, your camera, your old VHS, Beta, Hi8, MiniDV players over for them to check out.

Whenever I come in, Frank is very inviting even just when I browse. He will ask what you want and give you the best advice for your problem. I was looking for a cheaper MiniDisc recorder, and was about to buy one, but he insisted we test it first. It ended up being broken, so I didn’t buy it that day, and he even suggested other places to buy one even though it would be in his best interest that I buy from him. I came back today and bought some discs for a great price. Very honest businessman, I will come again and again.

Tried calling to explain a simple repair. Explained it 3 different times and it was obvious that the guy on the phone had no idea what I was talking aboutHave a feeling these recent posts were spam by the place to negate all the 1 and 2 star reviews by real customers

Frank is the best! Very thorough old-school stereo repair place, hardly any of theses spots left. If it’s fixable these guys can probably get it done.Best to maintain quality things instead of adding more junk to the landfill!

Very friendly and inexpensive repair. I have taken my laptop here to have the speaker service. I also have also taken a camera to have a port serviced here. Electronic parts only. Best if you deal with cash. It's also a cool looking shop with all the analog tech.Update: 5/8/2023Laptop still working fine. Since then I've dropped off two pieces of video transmission equipment to be repaired: a decimator, and a Teradek 500 bolt. Bolt wouldn't power on. Teradek wanted $150 just to evaluate their own gear, this place fixed it in a week for $255. That's like an 1/8 of the cost of a new Teradek. Couldn't recommend this place more. We'll see how the Bolt holds up.

Literally best store for cameras, vcrs, and a bunch of other old tech! Had so much fun visiting and my fiancee had a little technology lesson with the older man in the store! We wished we caught his name (maybe Frank?) but he was very helpful and knowledgeable!

After getting screwed by CTS in Midtown by having them not tell me there was a $90 inspection fee until after they had my laptop & wouldn't give it back until I paid, I found Frank and his great team from a referral locally in Fairfield, CT. He's an honest guy and they did a great job at a very fair rate fixing 2 power charging jacks and replacing the speakers. They've been doing it for a while and deservedly so.

Brought in my 25 yr old sub to be repaired. We agreed it needed to be re-foamed first and take it from there. $60 total vs well over $100 everywhere else. The work was done by the end of the next day and, so far, it sounds amazing again! A little concerned about some of the glue work, but he knows far more than I do about this and did a way better job than I could have. If the repair doesn't last I'll update, but I'm currently very satisfied and enjoying some great bass again! Thank you Frank! It was a pleasure doing business with you!
