Went here while visiting new york for my cousin's dorm move-in day. I always shop at the Hong Kong Market here in washington state so I knew going in that i'll be able to buy the things i'm lookign for when it comes to asian groceries/items. I took 1 star out cause it's hard to communicate with the staff cause the ones I asked dont speak any English (one was stocking the shelves and the other 2 were cashiers). Overall, good place for asian groceries!

Very rude. Went specifically for something and couldn't find it, I couldn't make eye contact with anyone to ask for help. The employees seem to dodge me. I gave up on it and decided to wonder around the store to check out what else they do have. After a few minutes of wondering, I was yelled out from across the store to "buy something now or leave". Happily left and won't return.

This is my go-to Asian grocer, as it has produce and other products I can’t find elsewhere at an okay price in nyc. Begrudgingly, though, since you’re required to exchange your personal shopping cart with one of the stores, which are bulky or broken, and make it uncomfortable to move around the store even during slow times. At peak times it’s not worth going. It’s always gonna be a sub par experience tho as every employee you come across is openly miserable and you just want better for them too.

It has a large selection of Asian products, fresh seafood, and meats.

It is a solid Chinese grocery store. You’d be paying more for the same item than at other grocery stores, for the convenience of being able to get most of what you’d need in one place. Lines for checkout can sometimes be long, but rarely unreasonable (typically <5 min)It has a good selection of seafoods, veggies, meats, frozen foods and pantry items, but doesn’t excel in any of them. When I know exactly what I want, I opt for the more speciality grocery stores.HK Supermarket has a very different, and IMO inferior, selection of Asian snacks. That and the general higher price points account for the one star docked.

Produce are mixed quality. Some of the melons were very fresh but the veggies were not. However the price was right. Also kinda dirty and grimy. Places like 99 ranch etc present much better.

This is the nastiest thing I have ever seen, that employee stayed there digging his teeth for more than 20 mins I left the store and he was still doing it while I was leaving the digging his teeth over the uncovered fish which is a health problem.

Bought this pomelo grapefruit on sale -- the rind was 3", flesh hard as rock. Couldn't even cut through it. Manager told me take another. I said they're likely all the same bad batch. He offered me store credit. I insisted on cash refund. He made me wait. Why do they sell bad fruit? Elderly and families take it all the way home only to find out they got bad fruit. Unethical!

Always a place I stop in when I'm in the neighborhood. Amazing prices and incredible selection. The soy sauce selection is heavenly. You'll never understand how bad normal supermarket soy sauce is until you buy a real product.

It was great, I found what I wanted. They were open late which I appreciated. They had a wide variety of items on two floors. I was lucky to have gone with a friend who spoke their native language because I had questions about a product and the 2 men I saw on the lower level, did not speak any English. I was happy to find Jackfruit and also the preserved plum candy that I was looking for. They have live sea food in large tanks, a large variety of fruits, foodstuffs, and household items. I will definitely be back for a visit.

Pretty average Chinese grocery store in the center of Chinatown that is surprisingly big since it's two stories with the basement inside. Reminds me of Super 88 in Boston. They don't really have super big deals, and are not that much cheaper than 99 Ranch. There's a wide selection of Asian snacks and they even have frozen dim sum items like shrimp har gao which is slightly below market price.

Affordable produce in a clean store! I came here for water and came out with a gallon of Poland Soring Water for $2.49. Also two quarts of strawberries for $1!!! My favorite grocery store ever!!! I spoke English and all the store employees understood me. No credit card if under $10, so I am glad I brought cash to Flushings because cash is king here!

Good selection. Fun to shop around. Produce is fresh and relatively cheap. Prices on the whole have gone up.

I miss the market I used to go to but this one has fresh fish and a downstairs. The prices are OK. OK enough to just buy here but if you walk around and know prices you can pick and choose to save more. Some things here are cheaper (dried anchovies, some noodles, cooking wine, etc etc) others a dollar more. Produce is decent as well and they have a great section of dried herbs. Some Japanese or Korean foods they don't have but it is named HK supermart. It is worth going and putting it in you're rotation. It is off annoying Canal street and on the calmer side for me anyway.
