So Im a member at this bank temporarily and due to my phone number being changed I was unable to complete my registration for online banking and was directed by customer service to enter any bank to update my information and I picked the one on #CANALST.... WHY DID I DO SO????? UPON ENTERING THE BANK THE GUY THAT WAS AT THE CLERGY PODIUMWAS

Terrible experience on October 7, 2022.While entering the bank branch, noticed a woman standing at the entrance. We went past her to look for a reception desk. Bank looked empty with 5 or 6 staff at the counters with no customers. The woman at the entrance came to the reception desk. We told her we want to open a joint account. Her first question was - "why do you want to open an account?" we said the interest rate offered is good and we want to deposit six digit amount. Her next question was - " have you brought all your documentation?" we said we already submitted online and have brought the physical copies too. She was not amused. Next, she said - " you know, it will take a lot of time for the staff to check the documents" and she started to look at her watch (as if she was in a hurry to catch a flight). We said, we are ok to complete the formalities. She was not in a mood to let us open, i guess.After looking at her obvious resistence, i mentioned to her, look we are here to deposit six digit amount in our joint account, if your bank is not interested we will go to your competitor. At that point in time, she kind of softened and starting saying - ' yes, yes, we want your account...." .it was too late as the damage was already done.Wonder, how Citizens bank is employing such insensitive staff who turn lucrative business away.Still not able to believe that a bank branch in NYC has staff with such attitude and turning away business. Citizen Bank has to seriously investigate such instances.Good bye Citizens Bank.

Terrible. Teller had me wait 20 minutes for a transaction,when he originally stated that worse case scenario would be 5 because of slow computers.second time i had to wait very long because of technical issues. if system is slow don't lie to customers with fake promises.

The notary is NEVER available. Don't even bother with this branch. Just go to TD bank around the corner. They'll take care of you without even an account. Much better than HSBC treats actual members.
