Amazing Food..Service was first class.. quality of menu-from beef tartar to aged australian lamb and fresh farm vegetables was perfect for the palate..chef's are also great foodie designers with each plating served up like a small painting....From caviar to beautiful light lemonbasil garlic dressing...Pricey...yes-yes-yes--but worth it...Long time to get a reservation as it has a very small seating''

Ambiance:- ~2.5 hour seating; ours was ~3 hours since a party came 20-30 minutes early and delayed the start of the meal and there was a large party of 6- feels unique like a speakeasy, considering the restaurant is right behind the caviar shop- it's an actual caviar shop too- staff were A+; Jackie was very social with us, they filled waters faster than I could drink it, and folded my napkins - extremely well trained staffFood:- initial caviar scallop was very good; the butterfly of gold was unique- bread was good; goats curd in olive shape was very unique and more surprising if you did not watch the show- coddled egg for english breakfast was very unique and the soup tasted like wine, even though it was just tomato- really enjoyed the fish with cucumber that made it look like a sushi roll- lobster was big portion with good sauce- lamb was a large portion and felt like a szechuan dish; could be seen as a bit gamey, and the spice was great for me, but may not be the best for others- the "freezing to death" dish was nice and refreshing as a dessert; unique emoji skull- golden banana was a highlight; feels like a 3 michelin star dessert and was deliciousOverall, very unique and tasty food. Some dishes were better than most of the Michelin 2-3 stars I've eaten at, especially the lobster and desserts. My favorite dish was the coddled egg, considering how unique it was, and the golden banana, given it felt like a treat! My least favorite dish was the cucumber on top of the fish - it was still excellent, but the fish itself was delicious enough.Well worth the time investment and money. Buddha has very unique food and makes it look good, while tasting good. Would come again.They need a larger venue, as it is tight in there, especially for that party of 6.Note, I did not watch Top Chef.

The food was simply amazing and the service was great. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. The dishes were rich and decadent while still being balanced.

The dining room was very small but it was cozy and created a more intimate experience.The food was incredible. We ordered from the lunch menu. We got the beef tartare, grilled cheese, Huso dog, honey ice cream dessert. Exceptional food. I am not a big dessert person but that was the best dessert I’ve ever had! Will definitely go back.

One of my top favorite restaurants. Everything is always so delicious, creative and beautifully presented. Every dish is like a work of art. I love the decor and the intimate atmosphere but it also feels private at the same time. I can’t wait to visit again!

Extremely disappointed in our experience today. Instantly from walking in it smelt like heated cooking seafood, and it was not a pleasant smell at all. We hesitated to stay but continued through the service, the smell was so strong.. we left and since have had comments about the smell staying on our clothes. This is really not okay for an expensive dining experience, would not recommend due to this, and would suggest cooking the food away from being so close to the dining area.

Completely out of this world! From the moment I entered the restaurant, the beautiful decorations, with a great selection of colors offering you serenity, and a sense of glamour! Excellence service, just perfect - personally I like when they chat but not too much - when they offer silent service they look at you in your eyes and they know! The food, well… every bite I took it transported me all around it was like a perfect symphony!! Unforgettable…

I had the opportunity to dine at HUSO, a Michelin Guide restaurant, with my girlfriend on New Year's Eve. While the food was exceptional, there were some notable issues with the service we received from our server Cameron that marred our overall experience.We had informed the restaurant about our slight delay, and upon arrival, we were promptly seated. However, our coats were neither checked nor were we asked if we wanted them checked, and our wine glasses were removed without inquiring if we wished to enjoy wine with our meal. These oversights were initially dismissed, but as we observed other tables receiving more attentive service, our dissatisfaction grew.Throughout the afternoon, we noticed discrepancies in the level of service provided to us compared to other patrons. Basic gestures like coat handling and plate replacement were only offered upon our request, which is unexpected in a fine dining establishment, especially one with a Michelin Guide recommendation.It's disheartening to consider the possible influence of perceived age or ethnicity on our experience. Notably, there were Asian staff members at the restaurant, leading us to believe that the differences in service may have been due to age rather than ethnicity. Regardless of the reason, we anticipated equal treatment, especially in a Michelin Guide restaurant that prides itself on excellence.Adding to our disappointment was the mandatory 20% service fee, which was transparently included in the menu. While we appreciated the advance notice, the subpar service made it challenging to reconcile such a significant gratuity. Typically valuing and rewarding excellent service, we found ourselves questioning the fairness of the automatic inclusion given the service received.Our attempt to address these concerns with our server, Cameron, revealed that he understood our concerns but swiftly ended the confrontation, which really doesn't solve anything. While we regret any discomfort caused by our confrontation, our intention was to seek clarity, not to argue. It's unfortunate that such an incident occurred at a restaurant we had eagerly anticipated visiting on New Year's Eve.In conclusion, HUSO has the potential to be a remarkable dining destination, but the inconsistencies in service detracted from our overall enjoyment. We hope that our feedback is taken constructively, as we would like to see improvements that align with the restaurant's reputation and the expectations set by the Michelin Guide.

I was visiting the Met and wanted to see what was nearby to grab lunch. When I saw Huso, I made a lunch reservation so fast. I'm a huge Top Chef geek, so getting to eat at Chef Buddha Lo's restaurant was on my foodie bucket list (it had caught on fire earlier in the year).Dinner was not gonna happen (alas already had evening plans), so lunch it was.We arrived a little earlier, but they were able to seat us. Definitely get reservations as it is a 12-person dining room in the back of the caviar store. Still, everything is very beautiful and elegantly decorated. The small space hardly seems cramped or uncomfortable. If it wasn't made clear, most items on the menu pretty much have caviar on them in some way, shape, or form (barring dessert).My boyfriend and I shared French onion dip with endives, the potato leek soup (I could eat 5 servings of this soup alone), and the pasta capellini with lobster. Everything tasted amazing. There was a bit of a wait between the dishes being served but it was new years eve and the retail part of the store was swamped so it's not a big deal, its understandable given the day.On the way out, though, I saw Chef Buddha in the store (definitley did not expect to see him there on New Years Eve of all days!) and he was very friendly and nice and allowed us to take photos with him. It definitely was one heck of a way to end the year 2023! Excellent food and dining experience. Pricey, yes, but worth it.
