I like the meat options and prices mostly. Aside from that, I don't buy anything else unless the supermarkets closer to me cost more or don't have the merchandise. For example Kraft Deluxe American Cheese is better priced here and they have better and more bread options than the other supermarkets & Target nearby.

Great store. It's Manhattan, so it's pricey. Not the best for produce.

I always go to a key food that's close to me but I've been going to this one a lot. Every item that I've purchased has been great and I personally don't eat pork so u love that I can enjoy some special treats that are identical and delicious.I would recommend if you are kosher or if you have never gone to the place.Hope this helps!

Key Food: Convenience with CaveatsWhen I find myself unable to visit Trader Joe's or go downtown, I reluctantly turn to my neighborhood Key Food. While it offers convenience, my experience with their produce vendor has been consistently disappointing. Many of their vegetables, packaged salads, and similar items seem to arrive frozen, resulting in subpar quality. Cantaloupes taste like cucumbers, and the cucumbers themselves are often rotten.Another issue to watch out for is the discrepancy between shelf prices and the amounts rung up at the cash register. It's essential to be vigilant during checkout, as the prices may not match what's displayed on the shelves. What's more frustrating is the attitude given when bringing up these discrepancies. On a positive note, Key Food does have a commendable selection of kosher items that caters to the kosher community. While these items may be pricier, they tend to be fresher and of better quality. Additionally, their store brand frozen foods and other store brand items offer good value for the price. One advantage of shopping at Key Food is the spacious layout, allowing for easy navigation through the aisles without constantly bumping into other shoppers.Key Food serves as a convenient local option when alternatives are not accessible. However, the persistent issues with the produce, pricing discrepancies, and occasional attitude from staff can detract from the overall shopping experience.

It's a local supermarket but never stock enough sale items in dairy when I go Almond breeze & half & half on sale always none left. The isle's are very narrow here.

Back in the day the supermarket was good but now its very overpriced. Also, customer service lacks at this place. I rarely go in there to be honest. I do know some people who only go when there’s a sale. I actually shop outside of the neighborhood for groceries because it’s better quality and better quantity.

A supermarket is a supermarket first and foremost. This supermarket is overpriced, unfortunately sometimes its the only place to get certain things in the area or i have to go for last minute items. And to see how some of the managers talk to people is disgusting They can be so disrespectful. Just seeing them speak to people like that keeps me away as much as possible

Some of my happiest shopping memories happened at the Key Food on Broadway. I love the doenuts, the matza ball soup, and the vegan burritos on a stick. Last time I was there, I met Mr. Key, the owner, and he is a really cool guy.

Last month staff helped me find what I was looking for. More recently 5 people I approached told me they didn't speak English (in English). If a store doesn't want me as a customer, who am I to fight them?

Nearly mute cashiers -- demonstrably incapable of a simple "thank you" when paid money. Bad-frikkin'-mannered.

I moved to this neighborhood about 2 years ago and out of all the supermarkets around here this key foods on 187th and Broadway has the most friendliest employees and they never give you a hard time when they have to correct the price of anything that scanned an incorrect amount. Unlike the other supermarkets around here when you bring it to their attention that something scanned the wrong price they catch an attitude because you asked them to correct the issue.
