This LabCorp office frequently violates HIPAA and privacy laws, repeatedly. The man who works at the front desk yells at customers constantly, divulges personal HIPAA-protected information LOUDLY in front of other guests, and purposefully delays customers with confirmed appointments. I had to walk out of the appointment today after waiting 45 minutes because he was yelling loudly that my doctor did not write down the unique-to-Labcorp codes on my requisition and that I was going to "hold up" all the other guests. He purposefully delayed me being seen because he did not want to do his job, which is to match the LabCorp codes to the notes on my Physician's requisition. He divulged patient names, specific medical conditions, drug tests and other things that other patients were at the center to do, and other protected information. I sat, with an appointment, for 45 minutes waiting to be served, and he farmed out my requisition to a telephone person he was yelling at on the phone. She never entered the LabCorp codes. I walked out. I am a cancer patient with a compromised immune system. Sitting in a LabCorp for 45 minutes is dangerous for me because no one wears masks anymore, including the rude yelling man at the front desk today at 830 AM. Please note this is the SECOND time in a row that I have been denied service or had severely delayed service by this same person at this exact location. They are severely understaffed, and they need retraining in customer service. I am now delayed even further on getting life-saving diagnostics because of your incompetency and this man's disregard for patient privacy, serving patients in the order they had booked and confirmed appointments, and the general rudeness and shortness of the lack of customer service at this location. It is deplorable. I want an investigation by the New York City Comptrollers' Office and the Department of Consumer Affairs as well as all regulatory bodies that enforce HIPAA laws. Earlier in December, he attached another man's requisition to my lab requisition (same first name) and handed it to me instead of the phlebotomist. This is a HIPAA violation. I saw the other guy's protected information, and I nearly got HIS labs drawn on me! He also verbally yelled my tests (some of which are not things patients want to divulge willy-nilly) with very easy to hear earshot of all in the tiny waiting room. Also a violation. The office is understaffed and this poor angry man who works the front desk is doing all the jobs of multiple people, but it does not excuse repeated HIPAA violations. Today he was yelling out names, dates of birth, diagnosis codes, etc, in addition to denying me service after rattling off many of my ICD codes in front of an office full of patients. LabCorp needs to train its employees better, have them do their jobs, and hire more people in the largest city in the United States.

Went for blood work and urine analysis. Taken timely. Reports appeared accurate. Nearest place to me. Facility was clean. All insurance paperwork properly processed and honored. Very convenient.

I came at 12 on a weekday and I was in and out in ten minutes. I can’t speak for other days but these negative reviews do not reflect my experience

Waited an hour and a half even though I had an appointment. Worst blood draw ever, messed up inserting the needle on the first attempt and took it out right away. Second attempt was worse, targeted a small vein and tried to fill out the tube and it got nasty. Was asked to do for the third time but after seeing the prior attempts I said no. Don’t get your blood drawn here

Worst experience. Staff (registration, phlebotomist) speak loud and private information was audible to those waiting. Staff rude when those waiting over an hour for their appointment asked when they would be seen. I got the impression they were running way behind. I left to go elsewhere.

Wait is over 1 hour and even then a lot of the patients just walked away and could not wait any longer. Overbooked understaffed. The male receptionist has no clue who checked in through the system. Stay clear of this location at all cost

my real rating is minus 1000 stars. Photo below is me after A WEEK. I'm still in pain at the blood draw site. The bruising covers a full third of the inside of my arm. My arm near the draw site was fully swollen, double the size of the other arm for two days. I urge you to avoid this place at all cost.

I tried to call at different points during the day last week and nobody answered the line. I just had a question about insurance and my prescription for blood work. Finally I decided to walk in today and found the place totally empty. I waited for a total of 50 minutes before I walked out. It turns out the only person working reception was on lunch but didn’t bother to leave a note or relay this to anyone. The place was open just totally empty. Myself and another patient knocked on the door and called for someone, but nobody answered. The waiting room was full of people. When she finally came back I asked when I could be seen, she said I would have to wait 30 more minutes. I decided to leave and have my doctor send my bloodwork elsewhere.

If I could give zero stars I would. I showed up for my appt and had to wait 30 min bc the receptionist “didn’t see” my appt and refused to speak with me because she “didn’t have the right screen up.” In the end, I couldn’t get my blood work done bc she claimed I needed a doctor’s order. So, I left after spending 45 min in this location all because the receptionist who was clearly overwhelmed refused to communicate with me and other patients. Three other people walked out in frustration with me.

Vitelia was amazing! I have a hard vein and already tried another labcorp location where they poked me three times unsuccessfully. She took the time to have me put a warm compress on my arm and then got it on the first try....I really needed to get this done and I'm so appreciative of her kindess and expertise!!

I had the good fortune to meet technician Ms. Sierra at 1317 3rd Ave. Lab. She was kind, professional and patient. I was unable to complete a sample she needed. She allowed me to take my time, wait as long as necessary and provided me with tools that helped me succeed. Thanks to her my sample was sent for analysis in time for a procedure I had the following two days. Thank you Sierra. Jean V. Blacker

I should have become upset about having to wait 15–30 minutes or being late for x, y, and z. Since it appeared that was the only option to avoid waiting almost three hours to be seen by a doctor with an appointment.Even though I arrived a little early for my own appointment at 2:30, I checked in. Everyone who checked in after me and was a walk-in was seen within 10 to 15 minutes. Even though he had gone up to complain and had only just been seen, this one person was seen within six minutes of his own appointment.I am aware that there was a staffing shortage, but why were people examined merely because they began to complain after waiting an hour? I had been waiting for about two hours at this point.I will definitely PLEAD with my doctor to not send me to Labcorp next time. The fact that the procedure inside was so swift is the only reason I did not give them a 1 rating. I was also confused as to why I had to wait so long for such a straightforward process.
