Incredible gem in East village. I came in to get advice on my meditation practice and the owner was very knowledgeable. He spent ample time with me providing deeper insight. They even have a meditation room. Can’t wait to visit.

I love coming here. The owner and the worker I met are welcoming and helpful; there are so many books on a variety of topics (e.g. Buddhism, reiki, yoga); and the environment soothes the soul.I’ve been here twice this month, and I’m enjoying the books that I’ve purchased. If you’re not a big reader, there are plenty of other items you may enjoy (e.g. decor, jewelry, stones, incenses, scarves). Also, the store is in a great location in the city. I had an easier time finding parking in the area than in other areas in the city.I’m a practicing Muslim, and I found this place so meaningful,’so you don’t need to be a Buddhist to find value here.If you’re reading this, you should definitely check Land of Buddha out, even if it’s just to witness the tranquil environment.

Land of Buddha is my go to for singing bowls. Mr. Dawa, the proprietor, has a vast collection of Tibetan singing bowls that I use for my chakras and mindfulness meditation. There are even sound healing sessions here. The store is filled with Tibetan and Nepali handmade products, such as, statues and jewelry. The artisans of Nepal make the best Tibetan Buddhist related artwork. I was amazed to see his extensive collection of Thankas. This place is a must see in NYC and specially if you are around Saint Marks Place or Union Square area.

When walking into the venue, you feel a soft wave of calmness that wraps around you as look into these beautiful stones and jewelry. I was able to see all the stones in detail with descriptions and such. The owner of the store was amazing and so helpful. He showed us the singing bowls and processed to explain where some of them were made and with what. One of the bowls had such a deep and exotic sound that can’t not escape my memory. It was an amazing experience the vibrations shook my soul and. I loved every moment of it. Last he showed us the back room and it took my breath at how spacious the venue is and he even showed us something that was truly amazing and inspiring. (Leave it a secret for you to experience) I will be going back soon for a meditation session!

Let me tell you this is a hidden gem . The sound bowl qualities are unlike anything you can find in America. Extremely specialized, tranquil , and Dawa is an expert in his craft . A must stop by for all in the area !

This was an incredible and powerful sound healing experience that I truly needed. Dawa really provided an amazing healing experience for my partner and I (many tears of relief and joy during the session from here.) It was truly a beautiful experience to recharge our bodies and energy. He was very kind and informative. I will definitely come back again to this beautiful healing space very soon!

So many exquisite things in this boutique! I really enjoyed going slowly through the items and asking the friendly and knowledgeable assistant about them. This is a great place for gifts and to indulge yourself with things that have intimate, special meaning to you alone.

It’s the best store!! I love the vibe of the store and I love getting stuff from there. Like books, incenses, pendants, rings, earrings and more. And I still have to try the sound healing session. I heard it’s amazing!!

I was excited today to see the store while I was out shopping with my partner and in-laws. I am an African American male. My in-laws are not. I was the only black person in the establishment at the time. The shop owner seemed really friendly based on his interactions with other customers. I overheard him helping a Caucasian lady who was looking at necklace she wanted and telling her to just keep it on, since she said she wanted. At the time I was browsing the books near the cash register. I found a book I wanted to purchase and browsed the rest of the store. I decided I wanted to purchase two necklaces in addition to the book, so I went to check out. I waited my turn in line and finally told him I wanted the book as as well as a couple of items from one of the cases. The entire time he is checking out the customer in front of me, he keeps looking up at me. He asked me for the book and said he would hold it for me. Than said he needed a minute. He started writing on the backs of pieces of signed credit card receipts.. It felt weird, but I just waited. A woman comes up and said she wanted to look at some items in one of cases. He ask her to wait a minute and then helps another customer who walked up. I thought okay, he seems to be alone and the place is busy. I was fighting the feeling that he didn't want to serve or that he didn't trust me. He finishes helping the customer and then goes to the lady and said you wanted something from the case. She says yes, but looks at me. He turns around and looks at me. Are the two of you together, as if I suddenly had worth. I say no answer and he tells me, well I am going to help her first. You know ladies first. He didn't help the lady before the man who walked after us. He helped the man before helping me, even though I waited in line like customer before me. I said no problem and walked out the store to meet my family who were waiting for me as I was the only who wanted to make a purchase. At which point, I had to suffer the additional humiliation of explaining why I didn't have the items I wanted to purchase. I would prefer if you just put up a sign saying "no black people allowed" or just tell me I am not welcome when I walked in the door. The psychological torture of trying to make sense of the situation, telling myself that I am paranoid, and being publicly humiliated after wasting my time is worst.
