I recently was at the 2nd Avenue fair and saw Leonards had a tent in front of their store. I bought a crabcake and some cocktail shrimp. I noticed their sign promoting sirloin steaks that were on special and went in to buy two. Went home to pair the seafood and steaks for dinner. The seafood was super fresh and delicious and the steaks tender and full of flavor. Friendly staff , will definitely be back!

Picked up a skirt steak from this place and was really disappointed. It had an extremely unusual mildewy / tap waste taste to it.I also grabbed a container of tomato soup and prepared mashed potatoes. These were okay, but left more to be desired. Both gentlemen who assisted me were extremely polite, which I always appreciate.

This is our salmon filet. Not the first time we've had an issue; but they never, ever apologize or do anything. And this was $50.

For over twenty years of cooking for high net worth clients, these guys were my go to for a one stop supplier of impeccably fresh seafood and highest quality prime dry aged beef, organic poultry, lamb, pork, offal, bones, all with expert butchering available and super fast deliveries. They’d source whatever I needed and even overnighted me product to remote locations. The owners are the grandsons of the founder, they work at the store everyday, and they, and their staff, are an absolute pleasure to deal with. Highest recommendation!

If you want the best, freshest fish or meat or prepared foods, it’s the go to store. I love going there to visit my future meal in person! The service is wonderful.

We love coming to Leonards! Best quality, a great family run business. Few local places like Leonards left, a gem!

Yes the meat and fish are beautiful. This place is OUTRAGEOUSLY expensive. Ridiculously so. I ordered two racks of lamb for Easter. We all know what a rack of lamb is 8 to 10 ribs per rack. Trimmed.....$319 later I walked out the door. $39.95 per pound and according to the woman that checked me out half of that was waste, fat, etc which also I paid $39.95 a pound for. Go down to Eatily to buy meat. You can Uber back and forth and still come out WAY ahead. These guys are a rip off. Hope it tastes like it should for that kind of money.

One price in the window, another price inside. Florida Stone Crabs labeled as $60/pound in the window, $80 inside the store. They would not honor the window sign price. I left without buying anything.

Leonard's has been around since 1910. This day I was walking past and the door was open. That always makes me feel welcome to come inside. It's a beautiful old school Meat Market. I love the fish and wall decor. Everything looks fresh. The employees were smiling and friendly. I was asked if I needed help and given a menu to take home. I had my eye on the Crab Cakes. I did notice the prices are very high. When I had time to look at the menu I realized there's no prices on it. This is one of those Historic Markets that has the philosophy that goes something like; "If you have to ask the price you're shopping in the wrong place!"

This place is really good, as far as the taste of the lobster roll I ordered. I give 3 stars because it's unnecessarily priced high. I ordered the lobster roll and a crab cake, the total was $39. The crab cake was given to me ice cold, so I couldn't even eat it until I got home and heated it up. The lobster roll had so much celery but the celery actually made sense. This is coming from someone that hates celery. The roll was not toasted or buttered, so halfway into eating the roll, it got soggy and started falling apart. The service was really lousy. The staff was borderline rude, and far from welcoming. While looking around the display, the server told me to just look at the menu and order.... why??? I guess they don't want you to see what youre paying for the food. Either way, I won't be going back, but the lobster was delicious. If I hadn't communicated with the employees, I would've given 5 stars.

Fish is delicious but service is so slow and you never get a receipt. How do you know if your being charged the right amount? Workers are very unfriendly but meats &fish are delicious.
