The front desk here is incompetent and definitely one of the worst among all lifetime locations I have been to.

Even if you already pay the membership fee you have to pay extra to use the pool on weekends. Seems like a really cheap money grab

#Lifetimeatsky A very magical place! I was able to land a movie deal called '' The Jesse Daniels Story'', create with U Hoops and more. I'm a local from Harlem that can honestly say this place changed my life in a positive way.

Title: Disappointing Experience at Lifetime Fitness ManhattanRating: ⭐️ (1 star)I am incredibly disappointed with the experience my family and I had at the Lifetime Fitness Manhattan location. As loyal members, we have always enjoyed the facilities and services offered by Lifetime Fitness. However, our recent visit left us feeling unwelcome and frustrated.Despite checking in just the day before without any issues, we were suddenly informed that my son, who is under 14, wasn't allowed on the premises. The front desk staff's rude attitude and lack of clear communication only exacerbated the situation. Furthermore, we were threatened with police escort and termination of our membership, which was completely uncalled for.It is disheartening to see such treatment extended to loyal members like us. Additionally, my attempts to reach out to corporate have been met with silence, further highlighting the lack of accountability within the company.I urge Lifetime Fitness to address this issue promptly and ensure that all staff members are trained to handle situations with professionalism and courtesy. As a member of the Lifetime Fitness community, I expect better treatment and respect from the company.I hope that by sharing my experience, others will be aware of the potential challenges they may face when visiting this location.

Cafe and hangout spaces are great. They have a co-ed sauna space, but people go into the pools and cold plunge without showering off the sweat. There are no signs educating people on proper sauna etiquette and I didn’t see a shower right next to the sauna to make it easier to have a hygienic experience.People reserve recliners with their towels like German tourists on a Mediterranean beach, but don’t take the towels away when done. They also use their phones, including for calls. They do have one shower that has a handheld, the others seem to be rain showers only. Still wondering how Americans get clean, do they do handstands under the shower?!

This is by far the worst Life Time location I’ve ever been to. The showers close at 9:45p on Saturdays, as confirmed by both the life guards and the front staff member. Yet this rude Spanish woman working here in the locker room was shouting at us when we were asked to leave the pool at 9:27pm that “the water is closing in one minute!!!” Repeatedly. Then she kept harassing us in the locker room that they are closing in 18 minutes and no will will be here as she kept looking at her watch. For the amount of money we spend on membership, you’d the staff could treat members with professionalism and respect rather than hostility. I complained about this harassment to the woman this evening at the front desk and she dismissively confirmed showers close at 9:45 and not 9:30 and seem unfazed about this issue. Horrible experience!!! I’d expect more from life time in NYC… this place is really awful.

This location opened around 2016 and it shows -- in particular the lockers, showers and spa areas needing the more attention. Either not enough reinvestment has gone into it, there is a lack of cleaning staff/accountability, or both.Could be great but as others have said, this location offers a severely degraded experience compared to other lifetimes, or even other gyms with proper management. If it were not for the cold plunge, I would rate this place 0 stars.

came here for basketball but was really disappointed bc the courts were incredibly dusty and slippery. we had to keep using water to wipe our shoes again and again. if you're not careful, might slip and hurt yourself. bring your own balls bc the basketballs were all old, weathered and had no grip. but the spa was phenomenal. the steam room and cold plunge were fun.

Worst gym of all there city locations.Basketball court is like an ice skating rink!Basketballs are used and abused. Pricing should be adjusted for this location. This gym seems neglected big time!

Could be great but it's super dirty. They have awesome features (best cold plunge and best steam room I've ever used), pickleball, olympic weightlifting stations, etc. But, the gym itself and especially the spa and shower areas are really gross - like you need to watch your feet or you'll step in grime and hairballs gross.Would be 5 stars if they just cleaned more often.

Got stuck in the stairwell almost an hour over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. Doors didn't open to exit stairwell was locked from inside stairwell. Had to bang on door til someone pass by to open. No one answering phones at front desk to make matters worst. Almost was about to call outside source for assistance before they close.

Struggling to find a decent gym in this area. This doesn’t feel like an actual LifeTime, feels more like a glorified apartment building gym (which in a sense it is). The issue is the equipment floor. They’re lacking a lot of the basics that you find at most gyms. Plus all the machines are TechnoGym - which look super premium but are so awkwardly designed and are a lifter’s worst nightmare.

This gym sucks let’s be real- they charge a fortune for what? I belong to the One Penn Plaza location and the sauna DOOR has been broke since it opened. So ridiculous, you’re telling me you can’t get someone to fix a DOOR for over 3 months? Not to mention the staff is so incredibly rude. I miss the old gym. The staff was so pleasant and the membership was so reasonable. They wanna charge me $225 more a month for a broke sauna, mean staff, and all they did when they took over from the previous gym was change the machines (they’re not any better than the ones before)

I’m enjoying my membership at LIFETIME the app makes everything easy to schedule cancel & reschedule classes.I attended some classes & Tony Ferrari & Joseph W are THE BEST!The wet area consists of a heated swimming pool, sauna, steam room that’s lined with eucalyptus, whirlpool & ice plunge which is amazing.Staff is pleasant & there’s a ton of fresh towels all over the place.Downside:Policy in the pool area is NO OUTSIDE SNEAKERS which the staff doesn’t enforce Which I find disgusting because I’m wearing the proper sandals and footwear, and I’m watching people coming from the basketball courts walking in the Wet area with their dirty sneakers but I guess that’s it a privilege and entitlement attitude that they haveJets for the whirlpool broken & I heard regulars muttering that it takes 2 months to fixLIFETIME CAFE didn’t have mocha for their smoothies despite the attendant saying “it’s one of our best sellers”. What’s the point of not having enough stock of a smoothie flavor? That’s your best seller. The basketballs in the basketball court area are clearly worn Wilson basketballs and not suitable for even shooting around With as I can’t even get a grip on the basketball. The decent and good basketballs you would have to schedule a private session to get to use the good basketballs, which makes no sense.I like that the lifetime café has numerous quiet areas in a pool table, which is a plus .
