A nice store where you can shop cheerfully. They have extremely helpful employees in every respect. I found parking easily. All the Mackenzie products I was looking for were available in the store.

What a fun and unique store. Beautiful, wild and full of imaginations. You can easily get lost in this wonderland. Founded 40 years ago here in New York. It’s a shop that scream for attention.

Do not buy Mackenzie Child's products online. They are the worst, they are irresponsible, they do not comply with shipping times. I placed an order more than twenty days ago, the order has not arrived and when I want to track it, the system says that the order doesn't exist. Additionally, they have charged my card three times for the same product. We sent an email the week before and they said the order would arrive in three days, but I still haven't received it. They are the worst. ☹️

Beautiful merchandise but the experience was ruined by a horrid, decrepit old man of an employee who loudly exclaimed “If you’re not going to buy anything just leave!” He then proceeded to go the stock room and scream. This geriatric employee needs to be dealt with or placed in a memory care unit. Have never experienced such a rude person and it seems I’m not the only one with issues regarding customer service here.

I have been an avid Mackenzie Childs Customer for more than 15 years. I have ordered many things with little to no issues. I placed an order and received a delivery notice that my package arrived on Friday January 5th. This was delivered by UPS. Needless to say, my package never came to my house. I have several Ring cameras and no deliveries were made that day to my house.The only way you can contact MC is to email them. You cannot speak to a live person anymore. So...I emailed them to let them know my package was not delivered. It took 3 days for them to email me back and this is how they replied:"Your package should have been delivered by your local post office. We ask that you check with your neighbors to see if they received your order."I live in a rural secluded part of Pennsylvania and do not know my neighbors! How am I suppose to ask them? And my local post office didn't deliver this package, UPS did. Why is it that you cannot get a living human being on the phone. I know the answer is staff shortages, but with a company like MC you would think they would have better customer service. I am very disappointed.

The person (not from “here”) who gave a 1 star review below is a cry baby. The employees here are top notch. Went to the store today (I am from here), and yea the employees are sometimes on the phone (clearly the business phone answering customer calls as they simultaneously work the floors). The photo of the employee on the phone was working today- he’s a gem! Knows the business and how to work with a wideeeeee range of varied customers- top notch service, poise, and charm. We are happy customers!

We’re not from the US so I had been excited all day to visit this store and get gifts for Christmas. The staff are completely useless and seemed to avoid us after we had to ask three times for prices as half the stock aren’t priced. Staff having headphones in and chatting with friends - ridiculous for a store like this. We were told by Susan that some candles were half off and fit our budget with another item. She proceeded to charge us the full amount and claimed to ‘forget’ to give us our change. We had to ask twice. We were overcharged and when confronted, she simply said it wasn’t her problem. I don’t even know if the right items were packed for us to take home (going by other reviews here). Double check everything and make them pack it in front of you!! Shame on you guys.

My daughter and I visited the SoHo store today and the people there were lovely—until they weren’t. We had been helped by the nicest lady who appeared to be busy when a gentleman asked if we wanted to place our items behind the counter and we did. The lady then became quite irritated, made a rude comment that could be heard from a distance, and stomped away. When I apologized (why am I apologizing?!?), she said, “I’ve been helping you the entire time!” So don’t confuse kindness with commission-based sales people. She might be reminded that I could have purchased on line (probably finding it cheaper) or at my local retailer, knowing I would have helped a small business.

I’m not happy with my purchase. I picked out a very specific Abundant bowl that had a few marks that were unique to it. When I bought it, they took it in the back to bubble wrap it. During that time, I watched the sales associate who checked me put it back the exact bowl that I purchased. I didn’t think much of it. Then when I got home and unwrapped my bowl, I realized it was different than the one I bought. There are cosmetic issues with the one they gave me. feels like a bait and switch.

Really unhappy with my last purchase at the store. I picked a few fall items that were on sale, and left it at the store overnight to pick it up the following day. After I got the items home the following day, I discovered that one of them had been damaged either as it was being wrapped, or overnight when it was stored. Regardless, I loved the item too much, it was the last peace available anywhere l, so I kept it, but the underhandedness of the staff is quite disheartening.

Like another customer, I purchased some items from the barn sale. After using a gift card for my purchase, I was emailed saying it was declined and ask it be reauthorized and it was approved. I missed the 4th email asking same and then was told my order was cancelled. I never received my item and lost my gift card money as well. It is very unlikely that I'll shop from Mackenzie child's again.

I would hesitate before you make any purchases from Makenzie Child. I have never had a company have worse customer service. And I have ordered from many home sites including Pottery barn, Williams Sonoma, Restoration hardware, West elm, etc. I ordered a tea kettle during the "Barn Sale" at the end of July and my credit card was approved and authorized on that date and I received an email and order number- which to me means all is good and will be shipped soon. They sent me an email 2 weeks late stating that the credit card was declined (email went to junk) and when I finally inquired where order was- they said they reauthorized the credit card at time of shipping and it declined (probably because credit card didn't understand why I was being billed twice!!) They would no longer honor the "Barn sale". - 11 days after they sent the email. Seems like a scam to me. I will never order from them. Will shop at companies with higher customer service. Very disappointing

The store was so beautiful when we visited NYC during Christmas. My son asked them if their dishes are Safe for eating food in. They assured us that they are FDA approved. He bought me four courtly check bowls. As you know they are quite expensive so they were Christmas present for me from my son.I recently started using them for serving salad and guacamole.After washing by hand (they are not dishwasher safe) , as I was drying them my towels turned black. I then realized that the bowls are smearing off black paint.I would not serve food in these bowls as they are UNSAFE. I called the store and also Mackenzie Childs corporate office but nobody accepted any responsibility for these defective expensive bowls.Do not buy and Do not use for serving food.I am extremely disappointed.

The quality of the items are terrible, I will never order from them again , also the customer service is very bad , I ordered an item and with in couple days got price reduced and according to their policy it’s qualified for price adjustment if it’s within 10 business days and when I contact them they said it’s not on barn sale , this is a big shame on Mackenzie Childs , I would rather switch to brand with better quality and high level customer service
