Sol is NOT part owner of czar woodmill. He just lied. I spent over 750k for renovations always on time. Sol then was busy with a friends sickness. Familiarity breeds contempt. He then ripped me off on wall unit left Hany in charge. Tried bait and switch 30k => 65k. Then he left the 30k wall unit built incorrectly. Now he bought it I’m the beneficiary since Woodmill would not give markup like every industry does. Sol Hany czarwoodmill all lied. The unit is worth half.Stay away from these unethical greedy people.

Bottom line is that we couldn't be happier with our renovation and fully enjoyed working with Sol and Celia. Here are the details. We purchased our apartment in 3Q 2021. We decided to go with MCKB for a few reasons. First, they had done the renovation of our last apartment (done by previous owner) and we thought their work was first-rate. Second, they were doing another renovation in the building and the owner was very pleased with them. Third, because everything falls under Sol, there is no finger pointing as everything leads back to him.We signed the paperwork in or around December 2022 and handed over the keys for them to begin the renovation on June 11, 2022. We moved back in shortly after Labor Day. The bathrooms were 95% done and the kitchen reached that point in October. By November, everything was 100% done. Right on schedule, despite the many pandemic-related delays, and the work was first rate.Sol and Celia were wonderful to deal with. Thoughtful, responsive, and both possessed of a keen eye for design. To be fair, we did a lot of the design work ourselves, but the suggestions they made from layout to the idea of putting a dry bar into our dining room really made everything sing. We've had a lot of design professionals over to our place and everyone has been wowed. So, in conclusion, easy to deal with and the job came in on time, on budget and beautifully done. What more could you ask for?

Went in there had a consultation. That lady promised to give me a proposal in 3-4 days. But she totally forget me. Didn’t contact me again. Probably she doesn’t think I’m worthy of a customer. Rude. She doesn’t know a young girl like me renovated so many apt every year. She judge book from cover. Not worthy of ur time. Warning. Chinese cabinet give proposal right away. She need 4 days and never reply after one month.

Celia, one of the designers at MCKB, helped us design and pick out all the countertops, cabinets, tiles, fixtures for our kitchen remodel and was very easy to work with and responsive to all my questions and e-mails along the way. The process was incredibly easy and stress free. I would highly recommend her as a designer. They also have a wonderful in house contractor who took care of all of the painting and floor refinishing as well as electrical and plumbing issues so it was all done seamlessly. Meryl was my contact who was incredibly helpful with the whole construction process. Highly recommend the entire shop!!

First of all, it's a great showroom with wonderful designs - sinks, appliances, cabinetry, tiles, gorgeous tubs, luxurious showers - everything for your kitchen and bathroom. incredible array of ovens, refrigerators, sinks, faucets, dishwashers. Extremely knowledgeable staff (ask for Fran Asaro!) who are so excited to show you what they have and share their ideas with you. Really kind and professional and experienced. I'd hire them again in a heartbeat!

Celia, one of the designers at MCKB, helped me design and execute the most amazing kitchen I have ever seen. I now own and cook in a kitchen that is my dream kitchen beyond my wildest expectations. Celia worked with me on every inch, every corner, leaving no stone unturned, sometimes literally! I had an idea of what I wanted, and she pushed it to where I couldn’t even have ever imagined. She’s a great listener and interpreter. When a design wasn’t working the way we wanted it to, she went back to her desk and figured out how to make it work. But the most important thing is not only is my kitchen absolutely gorgeous, it’s extremely functional. I enjoy cooking in it every single day. And when I’m not cooking, I’m just as happy sitting and looking at it.Services: Remodeling

We purchased our new apartment — a sponsor coop in Gramercy on March 3rd, 2020 just as COVID-19 was ramping up. We had met briefly with Celia Reiss earlier that day and looked at different cabinet options though out the show room. We are so happy that we did! This turned out to be a long-distance, email, text and phone chat kitchen remodeling project and Celia was up to the job at hand. Celia is professional, genuine, low-key, detail-oriented, incredibly patient and calming. Our initial contractor pulled out at the last minute and Celia took right up with his replacement. Her communication skills are excellent. Nothing was left to chance, things were clearly laid out. Measurements were checked and re-checked. Things were confirmed in writing. There were no fake delivery dates. Everything was on time and according to schedule despite the pandemic, Photos of work in progress were sent. Suggestions were made but things were never pushed on us. It was a great creative process. We recommend Celia without reservations. We would use Celia again without hesitation. This was the 8th kitchen renovation we have done and Celia made it all come together.Service: Remodeling

Purchasing cabinets from MCKB has been the most expensive mistake I’ve ever made. After about a year of normal kitchen use (in a home with one, and occasionally two, careful adults), the expensive Signature cabinets I purchased from MCKB are, in effect, dissolving around my dishwasher; over the stove and elsewhere, edges are splitting; in some places, there is cracking; installation (by MCKB’s contractor) was careless; and the cabinets are frayed around the bases.Prior to renovating my kitchen in 2019, I had cabinets that (after 27 years) were in far, far better condition than these are now. Worst of all, because of the way the damage has occurred to the MCKB cabinets, I don’t even see how they can be repaired, without ripping them out and replacing them.I haven’t posted this sooner because I have been waiting – actually begging -- for these companies to do the right thing. I just couldn’t believe they had no intention to make things right. But after months of emails, calls, photos, pleading and finally threatening, neither MCKB nor Signature has paid any attention, or offered any solution or taken any responsibility for the damage, even though all the damage resulted from normal kitchen use, with normally operating kitchen appliances (each of which is identified, by make and model, on the kitchen drawings drafted by MCKB).At one point, after some months of emails, the owner of MCKB emailed me that he’d “'personally reached out to the owners of Signature cabinetry to demand that they get back to you .” That was the last I heard from him, and a month after that, no one from Signature or MCKB had contacted me.Eventually, by email, I succeeded in getting Signature and MCKB to come to look at the damage. They took a lot of pictures. That resulted, again, in absolutely nothing.I was promised a response by last week – on a date chosen by Signature and MCKB -- and I made clear to them that the date they chose was a firm date. On that date, I received nothing other than an email that Signature had written a report, but the owner of MCKB needed to review it. Again – the runaround. As of now, it appears that the cabinets I purchased are expensive garbage, and neither MCKB nor Signature, who have my thousands and thousands of dollars, are refusing to stand by their service, product, promises or warranty.I am going to pursue my rights against both these companies as best I can, but in the meantime, I hope I can keep others from making the same mistake I made.

We collaborated with Celia Reiss at MCKB to design our kitchen as part of an apartment renovation during the pandemic year, and she was a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and experienced, with insight and advice to aid in our many decisions, as well as responsive and helpful with challenges that arose along the way. MCKB has a wide array of excellent choices for cabinetry and appliances. Celia was also proactive in solving some issues that resulted from a misunderstanding with our contractor, and helped resolve things efficiently and attractively. We are thrilled with the end result. Thank you, Celia!

MCK+B remodeled the kitchen and two bathrooms in our NYC apartment. In short, the work they did was outstanding. Everything looks beautiful. Sol Kassorla, the owner of MCK+B, made sure the work was of the highest quality. He is extremely responsive, cares about the work he does and is a very honest and fair-minded person with whom to work. He will do all he can to get to "yes" and meet your needs. Our project was shut down by the State's COVID order in the middle of work because of the pandemic. As a testament to how well Sol runs his business, he was able -- without missing a beat -- to restart and complete my project as soon as he was permitted to get back to work. The rest of Sol's team were first-rate and a real pleasure with which to deal. Special shout-outs to Celia Reiss, the designer of our kitchen, Meryl Gotcliffe, Zinga Doyle, Fran Asaro and Ahuva Gindin for their respective roles in the project.
