Nice quiet atmosphere and best selection of Marvel cards if you're looking for those. Photos are from Jan 2024 so some of those boxes are gone.

it didn't have exactly what i wanted in fact I bet that in Chinatown they would have way more better options of Yugioh cards than this useless wannabe card store.

Just make sure you find the place and don't be afraid to ring the buzzer! They're on the 2nd floor and you need to spot the right door first. They have a great selection of boxes of sports/non-sports cards that you're looking for. Nice array of singles in cases that you may want to check out. Wall of comics, lots of action figures, Pops and busts worthy of checking out too. Looks like they have a membership program with a discount, so that's worth asking about. The staff are VERY friendly and not pushy at all. They seem to welcome conversation while still sticking to their responsibilities without missing a beat. I definitely recommend visiting even if you just want to scope it out!

I understand costs in midtown NYC will be high, but the prices for pokemon cards, especially graded cards, are very high. Slabs can be double what you see online, although sealed products are only marked up 20% or so. They do not have a large collection of pokemon singles, so I would only shop here if I was in a desperate rush for sealed products. otherwise anywhere online is cheaper

The only justification for one star is that they have a great selection that's well organized. Other than that, the workers barely speak to you or don't give you an opportunity to speak to them. I stood there for 30 minutes attempting to sell cards after I was told to wait while they stood around walleyed. Not to mention the boss (?) Sternly talking to the workers right at the counter (seriously it can't be a team meeting? No one was being serviced because they were all huddled ) after waiting I was flatly told they don't buy the cards I offered within the 20second glance I was granted. I've never sold cards before but wanted to have them go to someone who would appreciate them more than I do but this just soured my experience. I was never asked what cards I had, how many, the condition before being made to wait. Im very dissapointed that i have to leave such a bad review for a small business but my time was wasted and I'm very disappointed.

Staff was friendly. Wide range of sealed products but didn’t have a ton of magic singles for my needs (might have a better selection for commander players but I was looking for format staples for modern and pioneer)Pack prices are good compared to most shops, everything else was a bit pricey (6$ for transparent sleeves gave me a bit of sticker shock)

Clean, friendly layout; a very modern comic store. Large focus on trading cards and funky pops. Some shelves of collected editions, not wide range. Good selection of new books. Biggest let down - lots of back issues bins, all 'recent', and all at a foxed over-price of $4 or 3 for $10, when they.were the definition on $1 books. Ah well.

Took a look at my LP Charizard Base Set from the original 1999 print and said it was selling at $90.I reasoned if they’re this low on prices maybe they’re be decently priced on their cards. $325 for a Shadowless Alakazam thats been at $180.They’re also selling 151 individual packs for $7, when retail price is almost half that.Really horrendous pricing all around :|

I have almost never left a negative review for a small business like this because I usually try to have some empathy and give people/businesses the benefit of the doubt, but I feel compelled to warn other people from wasting their time and money on this place. As a lifelong collector and lover of trading cards, and someone who has been to many card shops in manhattan, the bronx, and queens, I can say with confidence that this is the very last shop I would ever recommend or consider visiting. Even though the rest of the reviews speak for themselves, I went against my better judgement and decided to give this place a try, so please don't make the same mistake I made!I came in last night around 5pm, and not a single worker greeted or acknowledged me when I entered. A few of them weren't really helping anyone, but there were maybe 4 or 5 people browsing the counter and some type of tcg tournament happening in the back, so I figured I'd just browse until someone asked if I needed help. About 15 minutes went by before anyone asked if they could assist me, even though I made eye contact with several of them a few times. I asked for pricing on some sports cards (mostly shopping for xmas gifts for my nieces and nephews), and then took a look at a few pokemon slabs which I like to collect. My biggest complaint about this place is how absolutely egregious the pricing is. I understand that shops in nyc have to pay ridiculous costs just to operate and stay open, but most shops will still honor market price, i.e. they sell cards and sealed products based on tcgplayer prices or recently sold on ebay. Even a slight markup is fine, and something most collectors are willing to do in order to support local. However, every single item I looked at was marked up significantly (25-50% of market price), in a few cases almost twice what the actual price is. When I asked the gentleman who was helping me if they honored market price or if the prices were negotiable, he very bluntly and unashamedly responded "the prices in the case are what they are and we don't do market price. We have to pay for rent after all". He then passed me off to another coworker as I was looking at the slabs, who seemed incredibly turned off and bothered when I said I would pass on them. I ended up picking up a few basketball booster packs as a gift, and while I was still browsing the girl began checking me out at the register even though I was clearly still shopping. When I said I'd like to grab a few more items, she scoffed and begrudgingly came over to help pick up what I needed. At that point, I should have honestly just walked out, but I decided I had already wasted too much time and was here anyways so I may as well buy the two packs and one sealed box of football cards (all of which were gifts).I had absolutely no intention of returning, but after I left I realized that I had mistakenly picked up a box of basketball cards and not football cards. I'm not sure if the girl who helped me accidently swapped them or not, but I'm going to assume it was my mistake and I just grabbed the wrong one. I went back this morning to see if I could swap it out, and when I walked in there was one girl behind the counter. I said "good morning how are ya?", to which she looked right at me and gave zero response. Incredibly rude, but I shrugged it off and asked if they could do a return or exchange for me. She simply said no, and when I pressed she said I had to speak to a manager. When I explained to the manager that it was an honest mistake and I needed it as a xmas gift, he said "sorry man, I know it makes no sense but that's the store policy, no exchanges". Again, I've been to many card shops and I understand not accepting returns on opened products, but it was literally a sealed $10 box of retail cards that I simply wanted to swap out with a different sport. Almost all other card shops would show good faith to their customers and make it happen, but not here.I will absolutely never shop here ever again, and
