Eggplant with chasnik. I didn’t know that there was Ukrainian production in Maskva. Or what language is this written in?

Delicious homemade cold borsh soup, sauerkraut and kielbasa. Feels authentic and old school Russian store, walking through the door is like going back in time.

Great local shop. Awesome selection and prices for Manhattan. Above and beyond customer service too! Definitely check this spot out! I always get caviar here at a fair rate.

We were on a road trip vacation from MN end of June. On our way home, we spent a day in NYC. My daughters & I stopped here to bring a treat back to hotel for their dad from Ukraine. The ladies behind the counter were so great in helping us find a variety of things. The gentleman that got the sausage was just the best. I wasn't expecting meat to be sliced (other places just gave us chunk of meat) & answered questions about spice levels. He checked us out since ladies had left & after all was totaled, my kid found something more to try & he didn't get annoyed at all. After I paid, he even threw in a bag of cookies for them for free.He chatted with me for a bit about craziness of weather & traffic & tolls in NYC compared to MN.Would definitely make a stop if we get out there again!! Totally recommend visiting!!I need more pickles - do you offer shipping?? ?

Very good food here. Drove from NJ for a convention and then wanted to go get some Russian food. Love the name and the staff. Maybe it was the owner who was there and his wife but lovely people.

Funny thing is, I googled Russian deli near me and this deli is the closest to me; from Eastchester, so I drove from Eastchester . They sell traditional Russian items and pastries. It's a small deli ; was a older lady working there , she was nice and helpful. The deli is small, can't dine in or out. It's a mom and pop store. Parking was hard to find because construction everywhere and a busy street . Will go back in the future.

All of the 1 star reviews are people who never visited this store. They have all sorts of wonderful deliciacies from every Eastern european country. Delicious breads, cheeses, charcuterie, a wide variety of caviar and smoked fish at really reasonable prices. Nothing like it outside of Brighton Beach.

What an underwhelming experience. A guy behind the counter and a young lady with bright red hair by the register. Neither even acknowledged me or greeted me upon entering. The guy stood there brushing his hair behind the deli counter and the lady engulfed in her phone as I stood there waiting to be helped with the cold cuts. After numerous minutes I just left. There's plenty of eastern European grocers in Lower East side that do care about their customers.
