Location was very good. There was a WholeFoods at the end of the block and a cute coffee shop ( Variety) nearby.Loved near by bar Oscar Wildes and brunch place Grey Dog for brunch. The Hotel was clean and modern. The standard room was VERY small -about 200 sq ft.However, we didn’t spend too much time in the rooms. It’s NYC! We were out the whole day and just crashed here at night.

Walkability: We chose this hotel because it was close to the various attractions we wanted to visit and the restaurants we wanted to enjoy.

As a long-time Hilton supporter, I have mixed feelings about this hotel. One of the biggest perks of being a Diamond member is the late checkout. However, this hotel staff did not understand Hilton Honors' rewards. Typically, I asked for the late check out when I checked in, but due to some mixup with my rooms (I had two different reservations to cover my stay), I forgot to. When I did, two days before check out, they told me to come the morning of. When I went the morning of (7 am), I got the generic answer: we have too many people coming in for you to have a late checkout. They did follow up that they’ll hold my luggage, but I needed my daughter to stay later and do schoolwork in the room.Additionally, I had booked the rooms under my reward points. When a person does this, you should not be charged taxes and resort fees. The person checking me in told me otherwise that it only gave me a room, but I was responsible for their urban destination fee and taxes. I’m not a very aggressive person, so I let it be and called Hilton customer service, who then followed up and confirmed I was correct. I then had to go down and ask for refunds of these fees and the taxes on my first day.The location was great and convenient to the subways. My daughter loved having a bunk bed over the bed and the incredible views. I wish some of the other things were a little bit smoother so I could fall in love with this hotel.

Was greeted with professionalism, a smile and fast check in. Can’t say enough good things about my stay. A comfortable bed, convenient location, friendly staff, cleanliness, and spacious rooms are key factors for a great hotel stay. The bar/ restaurant staff were also amazing, the food is really good. Arugula Salad, Burger, Tiramisu and made to order Chocolate chip cookies were delicious. Will definitely come back when in town.

Lovely hotel, but the lifts are awful, only four lifts for 40 floors, takes you 10 minutes to get down to the lobby. Room are very small with only two draws to put your clothes. No wardrobe and i booked a king room!Rooms: Rooms are tiny with no storage place

I'm working in the lobby and listening the employee at the front desk be horribly rude to a couple trying to check in. tldr: The issue was that the guest's confirmation said one thing and the front desk woman's computer said another. The front desk attendant was saying "I don't care what your phone says, my computer says this..." and so on. It was so unprofessional and made for an uncomfortable situation for those nearby.

Modern apartment, comfortable bed, incredible view, delicious mint soap and shampoo. The service from the staff leaves something to be desired, it seems like they are doing you a favor all the time. I don't know if it's a problem with the hotel. I believe this is a problem for NY as a whole. Room a little cramped with little space to put luggage and clothes. Annoying having to ask for water at reception every day, it could be left in the room every day at cleaning time.

During our stay at the Motto by Hilton Chelsea we noted several positive aspects but the one that really stood out was the friendliness and professionalism with which all the staff treated us during all of our stay. We’ll definitely be back and recommend the hotel to our friends.POSITIVES:- Staff is very friendly, attentive and helpful- Room was very clean, furniture new and well kept- Comfortable bed and pillows with spotless clean bedding- Convenient location. There is a WholeFoods and a CVS around the corner and several restaurants a block away - towards 5th Ave.- Staff at reception provided us with complimentary water bottles on a daily basis + a $10off/day cupom to be used at the restaurant- Bed is designed to accommodate luggage underneath to free up space- Well equipped Gym available for guests on 4th floor- Cool vibe all around the hotel. Bar is a must during happy hour- The app elevates the stay to a whole new level! You can easily communicate with staff, they respond promptly and you can also control some functionalities in the room through the appROOM TO IMPROVE:- missed having sleepers to walk around the room- Building has 42 floors so the wait for elevators during peak hours can be long at timesRooms: Modern, clean, automated and compactNearby activities: Eataly Flatiron and Chelsea market are a short walk.Walkability: Location is very convenientFood & drinks: Restaurant LULLA on ground floor is amazing. We were given $10 cupons to be used daily at the restaurantNoteworthy details: All services can be accessed via the app: from the e-key and room service to setting up the room temperature or changing the tv channels.

We got a room on the 25th floor with a city view. It was awesome, it’s a new hotel with great service and amazing rooms. Would recommend if you have to stay for more than a night, pretty convenient to most spots.

The hotel fits its mid range value proposition well; the use of space in the rooms was quite creative. Location was superb.-1 Star for leaving the auth hold on my card for a month

We booked a stay and had a change. We completely understand if things can't be refunded or credited. That's not the frustration. We spoke with HQ who transferred us to the Chelsea location then they transferred us to another department - this occurred numerous times over 2 hours. When we were about to be transferred back somewhere we have already been & we explained that we've done this already and we'd like to escalate to a manager.. the support rep hung up on us.
