My friend and I visited this liquor store with the intention of buying premium whiskey as a gift. We were ready to make a purchase, but needed some assistance in choosing between two options. Naturally, we decided to take a few quick photos to send to another friend for their opinion. However, before we could even finish, a salesperson approached us with an incredibly rude and condescending tone, informing us that taking photos was not allowed in the store. Not only was the manner in which he addressed us disrespectful, but it also left a sour taste in our mouths. Instead of offering any assistance or guidance, he chose to immediately adopt a hostile attitude. This lack of basic customer service skills was deeply disappointing and entirely unnecessary. We decided to take our business elsewhere.

Average selection of overpriced wines and spirits. As mentioned in other reviews: several discrepancies between prices shown on labels and what their computer indicates when paying. Poor customer service.

WAY overpriced. Bought a 750 ml of applejack for $50. Central Perk Wine and Spirits are affordable around the corner.

Visited this place on Saturday afternoon planning to buy a case of casa azul and the man working the floor claimed to be the owner was extremely rude and obnoxious. He would not help me and he also said that I could not throw away a Starbucks coffee cup in the garbage. I will never go back to this establishment. And the “owner” dude should be suspended with no paid time.

Their pricing in the computer did not match up to the pricing on display, it was a $3 difference. They refused to give me the $3 refund, instead they offered to cancel the sale completely or make me overpay by $3. This was after they made me wait 10 minutes to buy the bottle because one of the two sales people was helping someone else, and the other was counting change the entire time I was waiting. I am across the street from this store and now walk a block or two away in order to give my business elsewhere. Truly unfortunate.

Have come to this liquor store 2 different times THIS WEEK (11/3/22) and both times the same 2 guys were very VERY RUDE to my daughter and I, as well as my husband and our dear friend on a 2nd visit. They spoke to us badly, very unprofessional and their customer service was horrible, even offensive on the 2nd visit!!! NEVER COME HERE … there are too many local business who need our patronage that are not rude, offensive and nasty!! I think The owners should know these 2 men do not represent their company well at all!!

The guy at the register denied my ID because it was “blurry” and “no DMV would print a license as blurry and the one is presented” yet I presented the same (100% legal) ID to the bouncer at The Magic Hour, who accepted it. And it was also accepted by a competing liquor store nearby. I told the employee to scan my ID to prove it was real and he denied my request. He told me to call the police to dispute the situation further—I did not have a cell phone on me, so I asked the employee to use his and he rejected my request. The employee who was handling the register on Oct 14, 2022 around 7 pm is not a good person and is hurting your business. I recommend ending his tenure at the facility because he is driving away business and helping your competitors.

They are extremely rude, discriminatory towards homosexuals, didn't serve me because I was with a man. Absolutely disgusting lol

Terrible customer service. Was asking very simple and reasonable questions. Basically treated me as if I wasn’t worth the time of day. My questions were involving their Elmer T Lee bottle and other Buffalo trace exclusives. If they were any nicer I woulda bought the bottle. Central perk wine and spirits is a block away. Awesome service and all the bottles are 10% cheaper.

This wine boutique in 57 has some interesting bottle but be prepared to pay a huge mark up on the average street price, but you are at an expensive midtown location.

Don't waste your time going in here looking for bourbon. We asked a price on a bottle, and we were told it was "out of our price range." I guess they're not out to make money considering every bottle in there is marked up to no end and they're still not even willing to sell them for those prices.

Favorite wine store whenever we're in NYC! Great selection. Great people.
