For years, once a year I sigh in relief: Phil’s is still there and I will get my paper calendar! AND I will get a sense of my childhood when the most exciting outing was to that kind of store ( my first fountain pen!) and that smell. Things slow down and there is time to kibbitz…

Hidden gem in the heart of midtown NYC. Definitely a little bit of a hunt looking for what you need, but there's so much in here that it's like an adventure going through the shelves. Will be back
