Elderly 92 & 93 yr old parents have been their clients for over 40 yrs. Dad beginning Dementia, but with great vision; but Mom legally blind. With Dad’s dementia, he misplaced their bankbook with all his proper IDs…. Not being able to make transactions for more than 4 months, as this bank were not cooperative, EVEN THOUGH MOM HAS HER FiNGERPRINT SIGNATURE ON FILE, having my dad go back-n-forth, not being able to pay even their rent. At Dad’s final attempt there, he falls inside their bank, breaking his hip. Hospitalized and nursing home since.He’s now on his death bed! Mom calls bank to speak with reps, they hang up on her EVERY time. Yes, mom has a voice on her, but she’s NEVER heard. Rude, uncooperative staff with too much attitude!THE WORST customer service!

It is now April 2021. They have closed the 125 St. BP branch leaving the 116 St. Banco Popular branch, the closest one, available. It was a nightmare. As I am standing on line, with 5 other customers, peering through the window, I see that there are only two tellers and two customer reps with 5 customers inside. One Rep is already taking care of a family of three, the other is well, I don't know. I stood on line for about 20 mins when two customers walked out and one was admitted. about 15 mins later I was admitted. I wanted to see a customer rep but one was still busy and the other, I don't know. I waited 15 mins more before one of the tellers called me to her station. The other teller, already disappeared for some other activity that needed to be addressed. There are now more customers waiting outside. My transaction would have been better served by a customer rep but not wanting to wait any longer for the one customer rep who still was servicing the family of three and the other one, who, informed me I had to wait for her, I took my chances with the bank teller. She was experienced but realizing the build up of customers who were behind me, she felt a lot pressured to rush me through my business! I was a little annoyed but understood. Something that would have 'normally' took about 15 mins ( I know that we're living in unprecedented times ) turned into an hour long episode which I could understand if there were more people they had to deal with and were fully staff. This "Ghost crew" is not working for the population of this community! I am resolved to find another bank that will serve my needs...

Bad customer service . The manager along with the tellers have bad attitudes. Always a problem to handle my moms business knowing I’m her POA . They don’t respect other people’s time. We’re switching banks as I write. Bye bye Banco Popular and good riddance

Popular bank, I went to open an account and Ms. Brenda Perez she was very helpful and very pleasant. Great customer service, great service. They are awesome company very loyal and caring they have gone above and beyond through the covid 19 they are understanding and help in anyway the can. Happy customer!!
