I was visiting NYC during new year to see my son who is a university student here. He and his friends wanted Chinese hot pot very badly on the New Year's Eve. I walked a few shops and finally was able to see something close to work as substitute as a hot pot and bought it. The shopping lady there was very nice helping checking and wrapped up for ease of carry as I was walking back to the hotel. Later in the evening however we were able to find a real hot pot and had to return the one bought at Home Depot after our one week vacation out of town. The whole process was very satisfying, even when I happened to lose the receipt on the way. The lady at customer service quickly worked out with my credit card. Went back today again to buy an electric screwdriver. The guy there was about to tell the exact number of isle where I was able to find the item with the help of the shopping assistant. Everyone working there seemed to be so well trained and familiar with the business and it felt as though they had always worked there and for many years.My first experience shopping and so positively impressed by the service.

Wow, pretty shocking. Im moving and i needed some advice on boxes, tape etc. There seems to be a general attitude of ..i hope this guy doesn't ask me any questions One guy literally walked away as Ii was asking him advise on different type of boxes for moving. He went back to chatting with his coworkers. A bit later I asked what would be the best tape to purchase. There was probably 20 different types of tape at prices from low to high. He told me they're all the same and went back to chatting with coworkers. This place is great for variety but the workers are useless. Next time Ill go somewhere else.

Home Depot is awesome My issue was with the DEWALT hammer drill I purchased to drill though a cinder block wall well it worked like a charm Because it was a hammer drill I really didn't use it for a year It was in my trunk So I had a issue I wasn't near my other drills aso I grabbed it, it didn't work so I contacted DEWALT and at first the girl said I had to pay to fix it! After numerous attempts I spoke to Diego who actually sent me a new one I'm very impressed at this time the drill is awesome Thank you DEWALT

Coming here is a nightmare. The service seriously lacks. I came in here with some questions and feel that I was ignored. Sure, they have a big selection of things here so given you know quite a lot you can probably get anything you want here. The prices are reasonable, but again the customer support is seriously lacking

On 10/31/23, I visited the Home Depot on W 23rd Street in Manhattan with a friend.Alan assisted us with Flooring and Backsplash selections for a Kitchen Renovation. Both transactions were completed in under 45 minutes. They have already shipped, with earlier delivery dates than anticipated. We were so impressed with his kindness,patience and keen Customer Focus. He made the process seamless. We can't say enough good things about him. This store is very luckly to have such a dedicated/efficient employee. Will certainly recommend to other Home Owners in my neighborhood.Thank You Alan!

I visited the HD on 23rd today. I was pleased to see many people working there. A man not only told me where to find what I was looking for but took me to the right aisle. Then he helped me pick out what would work best for our project.

Whatever you do - DO NOT BUY AN APPLIANCE FROM HOME DEPOT!!!I purchased a very nice new gas range from this store, it was scheduled to be delivered today/the 29th of August.The delivery/installation company gave me and my buildings manager a hard time about getting us the correct COI required by the CoOp.They were supposed to call yesterday with a general time frame/window for said delivery. However they failed to do so ( no text or email either ) leaving me stuck having to take an entire day off of work to accommodate them.When the appliance did arrive, the delivery men already removed the blue plastic protective covering and the range was damaged!I had to refuse delivery and call the 800 number provided.That customer service representative said I wouldn't be able to get a replacement until the 5th of September so I requested a refund. They immediately put me on hold and cancelled the transaction before telling me it would be 8 -10 business days before I will get my refund processed and that as it was a debit purchase I will have to return to the store with a copy of a future email to get my refund - which will of course take 3 business days to repost into my bank account.I am now at least 2 weeks without a stove, have lost an entire day's pay, and am forced to have to go threw the hassle of making this purchase again.All in all this transaction was an epic fail due entirely to the worst customer service, poor communication, and incompetent delivery services.I have been so dramatically inconvenienced that I promise you, I will never buy so much as a screw from Home Depot!

I had a very bad experience with a Home Depot delivery today. I was very surprised because the delivery was same order as a few years ago and was very satisfied with the delivery. Not this time, unfortunately! Home Depot has outsourced deliveries to another company. I found out that the delivery policy is to drop off outside of a residence. That would be fine if I wanted if delI erred to a house and not a Manhattan High Rise! The reason I wanted the fragile heavy clay pots delivered was that they are too heavy to carry. I was contacted by my building personnel about the delivery and they assisted me in getting the pots upstairs. The last time I had clay pots delivered, it was to my apartment doorstep. And when I tried to call customer service , I was on hold ten minutes and then, dial tone! No more Home Depot deliveries!

Bring back that super nice greeter that Jan Molby sent out from the Guild. Really stepped your service up. Can't believe a store manager allowed someone he wanted to remove from the premises help an older customer up the steps with their walker. So unreal. If needed there is video proof that I am willing to provide.

I can hardly believe as I was waiting in line to checkout, the self checkout was closed....I was next in line but the gentleman at register number 4 didn't even call me over. When I did go over after he very quietly finally decided to call me over, he was literally on his cellphone. This store is in need of good help. What pathetic customer service skills and what's even more pathetic is that employees feel empowered to act this way. This truly says a lot about management. Customer service isn't what it used to be. Before long I'm sure Home Depot will go bankrupt just like Bed Bath & Beyond did.

Each time we visit this location it seems like none of the employees are around or are knowledgeable about the products they sell. We miss the full suburban stores were the employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. There is also large selection of product options as well
