Pretty standard blood test experience! After hearing about the long walk in wait times I used the Quest online portal to schedule in advance, which was easy enough, though appointments fill up quickly so I recommend scheduling a bit in advance if you can (I scheduled mine the week prior). I got there and checked in ten minutes early and was seen right on time for my appointment, which took only a few minutes. The space seemed clean and well maintained, and the phlebotomist was great and answered all of my questions.

Staff clearly doesn't care for people, wait times are long and service is horrible

I have to visit about 1x a month and it’s consistently my worst medical service experience. Very difficult to get an appointment - particularly challenging to plan for fasted testing or testing which requires a specific time of day. From multiple visits, they appear severely understaffed and average about 8 patients per hour. They have 3-5 patient rooms but usually only 1-2 phlebotomists. If you don’t have an appointment and walk-in, they’ll tell you a 1-3 hour wait, which I’ve experienced as true, but cancellations or no shows seem to occur somewhat regularly as well. However, if anyone with an appointment is waiting, even if they are quite early for their apt time, Quest will take that person first, regardless of standby lists. Standbys are only taken when zero apt-holding patients are in the waiting room.No receptionist on staff and kiosk-only check-in, makes it difficult for tech-challenged patients or if you have questions about testing. Unfortunately this seems to be how Quest as a chain/franchise seems to run as other Manhattan locations have a similar operating model.

Quest is the worst. Chronically understaffed. Get a receptionist. Elderly people waiting forever even with appointments. Obnoxious repetitive announcements in the waiting room. Waiting room dirty. Nothing here is done on behalf of patients. It’s all corporate cost savings.

The technician was efficient and very friendly, but Quest has severely understaffed this location. It is unfair to their staff and customers. I waited an hour and a half for a scheduled appointment (that I had been fasting for). There is no support staff to let people in the building or assist with check ins, and not enough technicians to keep up with the amount of appointments they have scheduled.

Huge thank you to the gentleman working today, 8/28, who helped me when I wasn’t feeling well after getting my blood drawn! I appreciated your compassion and kindness.Definitely make an appointment and bring a printed copy of your doctor’s order.

Yet another example of a business that uses a skeleton crew and overworks them (probably underpays them as well). The 2 people I encountered could not have been more discouraging to getting service and plain angry. Only terse responses with minimal information to questions here. Find another location.

Went to test today with trepidations due to the bad reviews. I found the office clean and outstandingly well organized. The testing person was courteous and efficient.

I've been back to this Quest several times recently and every time, they're excellent. They run on time, they're polite and efficient. Zurab is still so great at phlebotomy and processing any paperwork *and* at being an all around nice guy. He always makes one feel welcome and that the process will go smoothly. I've also worked with Fatoumata, who is very sweet and efficient as well. Last time she took blood from my son and he was totally relaxed with her and not nervous at all, which is nice, because kids can get scared. He wasn't. Given that the two people one deals with are great and one can pre-register, which makes things move quickly, I can't think of anything negative. I've been going there for years and haven't had a bad experience. But Zurab always has a friendly smile on his face (now behind the mask) and is great at drawing blood painlessly, Fatoumata is kind and gentle and things seem to move along on time at this location. Highly recommend!

This is probably one of the better quest labs I’ve been to ! The workers were really kind and helpful at this location . Zurab was my specialist , and he was really gentle and kind. My arm very much appreciated how he didn’t puncture me with force .

Tried to get 3 hour glucose test for prenatal diabetes here. Felt nauseous after some time and asked to lie down. After the second blood draw, I asked if I could lie down again and was told no. Sat in waiting room and ended up feeling so bad that I threw up in the waiting room garbage can. Had to reschedule entire test. When I came back, I asked to make sure I would be allowed to lie down if I were not feeling well. I was treated very unkindly, interrupted, etc. The supervisor told me I can’t lie down for 3 hours. Who ever said anything about that? It’s not like I was trying to not feel well or that I can predict ahead of time whether or not I’ll need to lie down, and if so for how long. The lack of compassion for a pregnant person taking a 3 hour fasting test was so astounding that I decided that I can’t do the test here with these people. The supervisor in particular completely bungled the situation.

It depends on the location; 86th and CPW is a very good location. Others, well, not as accommodating. But overall they run a tight ship. 24-hour results is the main draw.

Extremely efficient and the technician was expert. So many technicians have trouble drawing blood on the first try. Here the blood was drawn on the first try and there was no bruising or pain. thank you
