I found a bunch of my old super eight films and I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it. But the good people at rafikvideo hooked me up. Love, love, love love love love love love love love what they do. Old school New York filmmakers know what I’m talking about. Especially if you’re from downtown! Highly recommended!

Warning! Despite decades of work with Rafik, I encountered a MAJOR SCAM! Background: I brought in a video archive for digitalization prior to donation to the public library or university library. Archive documents include AIDS activist organizing of needle exchange in NYC + San Juan, HIV prevention at GMHC in 1990s, and since internationally-- see MINDY WYATT in office took over 75 videos-- some irreplaceable--over 30 years of archive for digitalization, took $1750 deposit, additional $ 200 into her private account, and has repeatedly misrepresented progress since July with a September deadline. She has not involved promised Rafik technicians, but has demanded more money for their involvement, has refused to return tapes + is currently MISREPRESENTING RAFIK using its e-mail and phone, and since yesterday, posing as its owner. Still waiting for the owner to contact me to resolve this and at minimum safely return the full archive and 3 external drive, regardless of digitalization progress.

Mindy was terrific! I had a bunch of vhs-c and mini dv tapes that I needed to have digitized. Mindy handled this with ease. Within one week, she handed me 2 portable drives(one as a back-up), with all my cherished family videos in one neat little place. Mindy also was helpful in guiding me with which video player would work best. I highly recommend Rafik's video! thanks Mindy!

Made a massive mistake trying to get my VHS tape fixed here. Ended up waiting 3 times longer than the original estimate, paid twice as much, & the tape was not fixed in the end. Giving it 2 stars because Mindy was alright.
