An extraordinary visit! I will edit to update once I get home. Just couldn’t wait to express our gratitude for such a great visit!Edited to add:Pre-trip Responsiveness: I was a nervous Nelly about a few things, especially parking. But when I emailed the hotel weeks and then days in advance with my questions, I received replies each time within minutes. Their responses were helpful and reassuring. I didn't feel like I was a bother at all, and that was exactly how they made us feel our entire stay as well.Parking: The drive into the city isn't easy for most of us, but once I got my bearings out of Lincoln Tunnel, it wasn't difficult to find. Pull up in front of the hotel on the left in the loading zone to go check in/drop your bags, get your pink ticket (about $65 for24 hours), then head back out to park directly across from the hotel. My small Corolla was no problem, but bigger vehicles will certainly not be able to be parked there. Just ask via email ahead of time and they will help you. You can't access your vehicle during your stay so grab all your belongings. Drop off and pick up were both quick despite the poor ratings on their page.Luggage: Our room wasn't ready, but they checked our luggage both in advance and the next day after we checked out so that we could explore the city without our bags.Overall attitude: Every employee was absolutely kind and helpful! We were just so impressed!Food & Drink: There is complimentary wine for guests in the evening - nice touch! We ate lunch and the following breakfast at the adjoining restaurant Parker & Quinn. The decor was lovely and the food just right! It's not cheap, but also not over the top. We loved the margherita flatbread so much that we ordered more late night in our room before our show. The drinks were strong and the coffee was hot. There's a rooftop bar/restaurant, and although it appears to be a 21+ club atmosphere starting around 4pm, before then we were able to go up to eat and/or see the great view of the Empire State Building. Don't miss that!Location: We were close enough to walk to all we wanted to see this trip though we saw staff hailing cabs and calling for cars for guests. We walked about 11 blocks north to Radio City and Rockefeller Center. Bryant Park's Winter fest is just a block and half north. Macy's is about 5 blocks south and Times Square a few blocks to the west. There were plenty of options for shopping and eating, and we felt safe walking everywhere even after dark.Room: We had a rare double queen room, and it was HUGE for NYC! The ceilings are high, and that certainly helps with the feeling of spaciousness. There was a closet and a bathroom with a tub/shower. There was a large tv and a tall window. No fridge as expected, and there were lots of drinks/snacks for sale right in your room in case the need hits you. We didn't hear really any street noise at all on the 10th floor and slept well. Temp control was right in our room. Everything was clean and perfect.Details: We were celebrating a birthday, and when we returned to our room at one point, there was an extraordinary surprise waiting for us. I couldn't believe the attention to detail -- perfect! I am recommending this hotel to all going to NYC, especially for the holidays!

We loved our stay at The Refinery. The hotel itself is beautiful. Walking in, it has a cozy glam feeling. All the staff were so helpful and kind. Madison checked us in and we were able to get in our hotel room early. That was a BIG win. We were able to take advantage of the day, knowing we were already settled with our belongings in our room. The rooms are larger than other NYC I've stayed, which is a plus with winter travel and teenagers with us. The hotel is also tucked away so it is quiet, but also just around the corner from shopping on 5th Avenue, theaters, and more. It was the perfect spot for our family trip. We can't wait to return.

Had a lovely stay at the Refinery Hotel for our anniversary. We received a complimentary upgrade, which was so nice of them! The room was spacious - we especially loved the high ceilings. The bathroom had so much room to move, the shower was especially nice and large. I've stayed in some real shoeboxes in New York before, so having such a large room was a pleasant surprise. There was so much attention to detail throughout the space, we really loved the vibe.In addition to the room upgrade, we were also left a number of complimentary items, including some hotel merch and some wine. They really went out of their way to make our stay special for our anniversary. The bed was one of the most comfortable out of any hotel I've ever stayed at. I asked for the mattress details on check out and they were able to send us the info right away - apparently it's a common ask. Front desk staff were helpful and friendly throughout. There was a minor amount of noise (3rd floor), but really that's to be expected in New York. We used a white noise app on my phone on a low setting and that was totally sufficient to shut out any incidental city noise. Location was great - a quick walk to most Broadway theaters, tons of restaurants, etc. There is a parking garage directly across the street which was very convenient.Overall, a truly lovely and special stay.

I come to NYC on a semi-frequent basis and this hotel is one of the best ones I’ve stayed at in the city. The front desk staff were so nice and the bellhop was incredibly helpful. The bottle of water and glass of wine are a very nice touch at check in. The bathrooms are stocked with Le Labo products which I LOVE!! The room was so spacious and clean. I didn’t stay long enough to check out the hotel restaurant or rooftop. Stay here and treat yourself to a luxurious experience.

LISTEN, LET ME SAY THIS HOTEL WAS WONDERFUL! I am extremely particular about hotels. It must be clean, smell good and fresh, crisp linen and hospitable. The food has to be fresh, hot and timely and customer service should be stellar. I believe that you should get what you pay for. This hotel did not disappoint me. As soon as we pulled up concierge was waiting to help us with our bags and very pleasant. We walked into to an exotic smelling entrance very comforting. The rug was a little dated but no so much in a bad way it was clean but had some mileage but not a huge distractor. You will have the BEST BURGER at the attached restaurant Parker &Quinn and the service was great. The rooftop was wonderful, the food was good and the DJ was good as well he played diverse music. The jazz on the first floor was also nice just be sure to reserve your seat so that you enjoy without having to sit at the bar, but even if you had to sit at the bar the bartender was wonderful to chat with very well rounded. The room was wonderful with a view of the empire state building. My husband loved that. The bed was comfy the base boarder of the bed is wood and could use a little padding so be careful to not bump your leg but again not too big of a deal. This hotel is in a perfect location central to everything you want to see! We walked to Bryant Park, and to our play. Just lovely. Okay now let me tell you about MORGAN is guest services she needs a RAISE because she was amazing folks. This women followed up with me to make sure I was also set and we were on the same page with the room decorations for my husbands birthday. They went above and beyond let me just say that. It is pricey but I will pay again and again if I am able to because it was a wonderful experience. Thank you staff at Refinery you simply outdid yourselves!Rooms: Wonderful just need a bumper or something at the base of the wooden bed frameNearby activities: EVERYTHING IS WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE FOR THE MOST PART!Safety: I felt very safe there was security at night guiding the roof top activity and always a doorman. Just wonderfulWalkability: VERY CONVENIENTFood & drinks: The BEST BEEF AND LAMB BURGER!Noteworthy details: Morgan was amazing! She deserves a raise!

Quite a large room for NYC. There was a used interdental brush stick in between the bathroom and hallway for my entire 5 day stay which killed the vibe a bit. The beds were comfortable, the staff were lovely but the rooms do have a damp smell in them which lingers in all laundry and clothing. There is a safe in the room as well as a fridge / mini bar. No complimentary waters sadly. Floor 11 is fairly quiet

As so many have already said this is a fantastic hotel. Great location, the rooms were huge, the showers had great water pressure and all of the staff were amazing. We asked the staff if we could view the rooftop and they were happy to let us walk through and see the views, which are beautiful. If we had more time we would have loved to spent time there. Thanks Refinery! Your team is top-notch.

We just stayed 5 nights at the Refinery hotel in midtown and it was simply outstanding! I have been to the city several times and this is by far the best hotel I have stayed in! The ambiance is wonderful, staff friendly and responsive. It was our anniversary and when we arrived in the room they had gifted us wine, a beautiful candle and lots of goodies! Very nice touch! The rooftop deck was absolutely amazing! I would have given the service 5 stars but my experience with Parker and Quinn the restaurant on site with room service was not great at all. Didn’t match the hotel’s energy or level of excellence. Thank you! Great time! Highly recommend this hotel!

Overall, this hotel far exceeded our expectations for our trip to NYC.Firstly - I HAVE to find out the brands they're using for their bedding. The Refinery beds were amazing, giving my wife and I the best sleep that we've had in years. All of the other features in the room were perfect, and the rooms were surprisingly spacious for Manhattan. We stayed on the 12th floor (one floor below the rooftop), and we didn't hear any of the noise from above us. We went to the rooftop bar for dinner & drinks one night, and it is top-notch as well. The hotel is right in the middle of everything in Manhattan, and it's close enough to the subway to get you anywhere else you'd want to go.Highly recommend The Refinery for your NYC stay.

Only complaint is the floors in the room. They make too much noise when your walking on them. The staff is the best. Atmosphere is fantastic. Rooftop patio is unreal. A must go.

The Refinery is a small luxury hotel that was surprisingly affordable! The ambiance and decor were wonderful and the room was very clean, comfortable and had all the extras. Daily room service was so wonderful especially since most hotels don't provide this service anymore. The staff were always friendly and helpful. We ate lunch at their restaurant one day and we loved the food and the vibe.

We very much enjoyed our stay at the Refinery. We splurged on our room and it was huge for NYC standards. The beds were comfortable and the hotel was quiet. We never had an issue getting an elevator or hearing our neighbors. The coffee in the morning was decent before going out to get the real stuff and the happy hour in the afternoon was also welcomed. We had an issue with our room a few days in and we had to move rooms, but they took care of it quickly and were very nice. I wouldn't hesitate to book here again as it was a good location for us to explore all parts of the city. All the staff interactions were wonderful, from the front desk welcome to housekeeping to the bellman who helped arrange a taxi upon departure.
