Feels like the hotel and rooms have been recently renovated which is nice. Great location, friendly front desk, nice restaurant. A couple things to note: 1) if you have a king next to a suite or a suite, these are setup in a L shape so you can see into the adjacent rooms, 2) walls are very thin, 3) housekeeping isn’t the most on top of things. There are misses even when the front desk explicitly sends the feedback. For example, they left a dirty coffee cleaner with water still in the canister and never cleaned it

This is a great midtown hotel in the Garment District. Super centrally located and overall just a great hotel with a friendly staff and everything you could need nearby. Best Coffee and Bagel across the street is to die for! There is street noise from the outside on the weekend but it’s Manhattan. Will def stay here again.

Excellent location at the downtown of manhattan but at the quiet side. The King bed is super firm and comfortable. I had over 8 hours sleep after 7 hours flight back from Heathrow Airport. Most importantly, I can’t emphasize how much appreciation I have for the staff of this hotel. I traveled by myself with two big luggages. Mike is German’s supervisor and he authorized German helped me to bring my luggage across the street to Pen station. German did above and beyond to help moving the luggage not just across the street but to bring them all the way passed subway station and eventually on the train for me and make sure I settled well before he left.I usually stay with Thompson Central Park hotel but now I will switch to Renaissance for this great experience. Hope to see German and share a coffee with him again. Thank you again!!

Stayed at this hotel for 5 nights and the stay was absolutely marvelous. Location is absolutely optimum and right in the action. Most main sights are a short walk away and with many great food options within a few steps. I am a bonvoy titanium member and totally recommend this placeRooms: Rooms are spacious enough and are modernNearby activities: Everything in midtown and bryant park is so closeSafety: Totally safeWalkability: Right in the heart. Times Square is a few steps awayFood & drinks: Room service and main restaurant are good, however what is great about this place is right in front of the hotel there are two of new yorks best bagel shops so ur very close to beat the crowds

The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is super. The location is very central, 10 minutes from Time Square, 9 minutes from the Empire, the metro stop is 1 minute from the hotel. The only flaw is that the rooms are poorly soundproofed. If I ever return to New York, I will choose you again!!!!Rooms: Very large by NYC standards

Had a great stay here this past weekend!!! The overall decor of the hotel and rooms are pretty modern looking. Got a King Bedroom—was surprisingly spacious for a NYC hotel room, perfect size for 2 people! Our room was clean—had amenities like a fridge, safe and huge desk. The bed was comfy too! I wasn’t a huge fan of their “contemporary with industrial-look design”—some parts of the walls just looked like concrete that had no wallpaper.Hotel location was good! They have a drive-in area in front which made it easy to get a taxi/Uber without blocking the main street. Check-in was easy—the concierge is located on the 6th floor. As a Marriott gold member, they gave us a complimentary box of chocolate and bottled water, which was nice!Note: the elevator system is a bit frustrating because you have to select which floor you want to go to and wait for an assigned elevator—often this took a while—once you get into the designated elevator, there’s no press buttons inside.

Really great location for midtown. The staff is super accommodating. The elevators are a little backed up at times but overall an excellent stay.

This hotel is a dream come true in any dreams that entails enjoying new york. You will be so please with the location and the kindness and attention of the staff. The rooms are not as big as some hotels in other parts of the world but they are so nice ; and come on.. we are talking midtown manhattan baby!!!!You are pretty much walking distance to so much and so many places to visit.. want to see the knicks? Madison Square garden is a quick walk, times Square is a 15 minute walk. There is literally a connection to every train in 10 minutes walk. Go shopping at Macy's and bring your bags back to your room because Macy's is a 5 minute walk.. you will enjoy your stay here and you will tell your friends to stay at The Renaissance. It's clean modern , stylish and lives up to its name

I was going to stay around a different hotel with a lower price but decided to switch and stay here and I am so glad I did! The hotel is in a very convenient location to the train station and Times Square/Theatre District! The staff were incredible friendly and helpful! The room was very clean and the view of the city from the 29th floor was amazing! This hotel is great for couples. Loved the shower with the frosted wall to the bedroom. One thing to note is the bathroom only has a sliding door. That plus no bathroom vent reduces bathroom “privacy” as far as sound goes lol!Definitely recommend this hotel!

I totally recommend this hotel for a business trip. Not the average hotel in New York with tiny rooms, this one is exceptional. Moreover, Paola and Julie from the reception are just amazing!! They will do everything it takes to make my stay unforgettable. Thank you very much!

Rooms: Rooms are very nice with both a modern and industrial look with the exposed concrete walls. Loved the reading sofa in the room. Bathroom is amazing!Nearby activities: Very close to Macy's, hells kitchen, times Square, theater district and Bryant park. All walkable.Food & drinks: The bar area by the front desk is a great place to just kick back and have some picky bites and good drinks. The main restaurant is very beautiful and staff is great, food amazing.

We loved staying here. Beautiful view of the garment district from our room, which was HUGE by NYC standards. Great aveda bath products. And everyone start to finish gave grade A first class service, especially the young women at the check in desk and the gentlemen at the baggage desk.
