Great hotel with super friendly staff. The hotel was our place of stay during the recently completed trip to NYC.By New York standards it is rather quiet in the Lower East Side. The staff is incredibly friendly and tries to find a solution to any questions that arise. The rooms are very clean and are cleaned properly during your stay.Unfortunately there was some facade work going on and the bar was closed, but that didn't affect our stay.In the hotel itself there is a small mini market that is stocked with the essentials, and the (chargeable) breakfast service is good.Tea, coffee and warm water are available 24/7, and the toaster can also be used 24/7.There are refrigerators in the hotel rooms. Microwave, coffee maker, safe, iron and hairdryer available.Restaurants, bars and shopping opportunities are within walking distance from the hotel. The subway station is also just a few meters away, making it easy to get to Midtown, downtown or the airport. Our view of Midtown was phenomenal! As long as you stick to the customs (usual in the USA) such as tips and friendliness, nothing stands in the way of a great vacation.

Our stay at the Holiday Inn was fantastic! From the moment we checked in, the desk clerk provided excellent service, making our check-in seamless and hassle-free. Throughout our stay, our room was consistently cleaned daily, and we always had fresh linens, ensuring a comfortable environment. We were impressed by the attention to cleanliness and the upkeep of the facilities. Despite being in New York City, the hotel prices were surprisingly affordable compared to Airbnb options, and a major plus was that washcloths were provided! We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and would love to return for another stay. Highly recommended for a comfortable and affordable accommodation option in NYC.

Our stay here was great! The rooms are very clean and well kept. The location doesn’t seem to be the safest, but for the price it was worth it.

Given the price, it is a pleasant surprise. The room is comfortable with good AC. It is quiet considering its location. However, the door can not block noise well. On the first night, I had a very bad neighbor, who kept on opening/closing their door (which is very loud) for more than 2 hours well into 3am in the morning. I could not fall asleep until then.It turned out the neighbor was having the takeout indoor the whole time, while keeping the food outdoor, effectively using the corridor as the kitchen.

I had a pleasant stay at the Holiday Inn NYC LES. The staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was small but clean and comfortable. The bed was actually quite comfortable, though I would prefer they put queens in small rooms so they can fit a small chair instead of always putting in a king that takes up the room. The food options in the lobby were very basic, and I never really saw ‘breakfast’ though maybe those packaged items in the morning is what that was for. There is no restaurant. The gym is very small and in the basement and had an off-putting smell so I didn’t use it. But it’s NY, so I got my steps in! The neighborhood is a mix of rundown and sketchy, cool and hip, and fancy and upscale, so options for everyone. The subway is a block away and couldn’t have been more convenient with some great lines that can get you to anywhere fast. I even got all the way to LaGuardia on one subway ticket and the free bus in Queens; probably just as fast and WAY cheaper than a cab or car service. One thing not under the hotel’s control I’m sure is that the nearest Citibike rack is quite a few blocks away in any direction. Overall, it was a great choice for the price and actually exceeded my expectations. If nicer hotels are ever at that same price point, of course I’d stay somewhere else, but if rates are high, it’s a great choice.

For the price, a terrific spot with everything we needed AND wanted - Location, amenities, price. Did I mention ... price? Right where we wanted to be with easy access to subways, shopping, theaters (both kinds). Friendly folk (& it didn't seem like, y'know: 'Oh, you're stayingHoliday Inn? I see...'Really great!.Rooms: Ours was a decent size room for the 3 of us - 2 adults and one 16 y.o. We were on a (relatively early) quest for colleges that meet our kid's needs and desires (Film, Big City, independence, etc.)Amenities: 2 Queen (or were they King?) size beds, the usual amenities (Including a really good shower that drained like it's supposed to - a definite 'upgrade' compared to our last trip!) and morning coffee you brew yourself (Keurig) and close to all the fresh-brewed you could ask for.)LAST but not least, Price: As good as I, an avowed cheapskate, could find that was still NICE! A really good match all around.Safety: Modern upgrades are apparent; I had no concerns whatsoever for the hotel, specifically or the area of NYC.Walkability: Access everything easily - great area itself, with plenty of options for travel uptown and beyond readily available.

I didn’t have many expectations of this place but glad I was wrong. First off the price was actually affordable and the room was comfortable. What makes me give this place 5 stars is the staff. From being able to check in early or food advice the front desk staff was incredible.

Clean hotel in a very good location, coffee and tea are also available free of charge. There is also a microwave and refrigerator in the room. The staff were also very friendly. My only criticism is that the hotel accommodates homeless people. In itself it's a good thing, but the guests are not informed about it and when you leave the hotel in the morning, many of them are found right in front of it and there is a rather unpleasant atmosphere. That's why one star is deducted.

We stayed here before because my daughter lives nearby. We like it this hotel a lot because it’s close to the subway, easy to find, close to Essex Market and the service is great. Our room is a little small for full sized 3 adults but it’s clean, co for table and has nice amenities. I do recommend and the price is right.Nearby activities: There is Essex market, the movie theater, the Tenament Museum and restaurants!!Walkability: We walk all around the area. To SoHo, to East Village, NYC, Katz Deli and more.

We came with my sister for a few days and were robbed by the cleaning lady!I'd just bought some items at H&M + I'd left my make-up bag and my skin care products visible, simply because I had no idea they'd be stolen, I thought I was safe.We reported it to reception, but they did nothing. Even though they were very nice and welcoming, it's not their fault!
