Sonny's is a friendly and neighborly place. I came in while driving into NYC, coming out of the Lincoln Tunnel and heading toward Central Park West. Stopped in, they were great. Highly recommend.

I'm just, well, very happy that I found your company and I only regret that I didn't come across you earlier. I was already thinking about changing mattresses and pillows in my child's room and in my own bedroom, but the masters cleaned everything just perfectly. The second time I cleaned the upholstered furniture in the living room and everything was done great too. I ordered from another company before you, so they only spoiled the chair.thanks for the great service i'm very happyPop

Freaking love this joint. Mix and match beers for 2dollas each. Then head across the street and go to the meat shop for great deals on tonight's dinner.

The woman at the cashier who sits on the stool behind the glass and the butcher handling the meats were very kind. Prices are great, especially for the area. I don't see why you'd go elsewhere for cheese, meats, and cold cuts (unless you want some grocery shopping done, too, where you'd go to Big Apple Meat Market some blocks over). Cheese (American, muenster, provolone, mozzarella, Swiss, cheddar) is $4.99/lb and tropical cheese is $5.99/lb. Cold cuts range from $4.99-6.99/lb (ham and turkey are $6.99/lb; spice ham, bologna, liverwurst, mortadella, salami, genoa salami are $4.99/lb), meats range from $1.69 for a drumstick and thigh and $1.99/lb for a whole chicken, to $6-7 for beef. Short rib cuts are 6.99/lb, ground beef is $4.69/lb, and $4.99/lb of bacon (loose or packaged - butcher recommended loose and I don't regret following his rec!). Beef franks and chorizo are $6.50/lb. Sonny's is opened daily from 8am to 5:15pm (not 6pm as noted on the door) and I think it's cash only. They only deliver to businesses and restaurants, and many local businesses do use their meats! Afterwards, you could stop across the street to their sister deli/grocery store :). Wonderful and friendly staff at both places and fair prices, if not cheaper than elsewhere - another reason to support local small businesses and minority-owned businesses!

The place isn't the cleanest, is pretty small and has a limited amount of groceries, but has the best price for a gallon of milk in the city ($3.69). They also sell beer, but remember Cash only.
