Run-down, confusing layout, slow elevators, not well staffed, confusing to find the Amazon pickup lockers hidden on the 3rd floor to which you are forced to take an elevator.

Employees shut the doors at least 5 minutes before closing time and left me outside holding a package I needed to drop off. Didn't react, even though they saw me. Then, while I was on a phone call outside, one employee cynically unlocked and opened the door at 9 to tell me they close at 9. So when your location shuts down from lack of customers, remember it's this kind of attitude that ensured you lost local business.

Susan was so awesome! I came in for a print job for menus to create for a special occasion, and she made the process so simple and everything came out perfect!

THIS STAPLES SUCKS. Sat for an hour and a half while employees were fighting with one another and no one cares to help. Waste of space in the UWS.

I've been twice in the last week to the returns center. The young man handling the returns creates a wonderful experience for harried customers. He is kind, thoughtful, engaging and helpful. He stands apart in a customer service world that has lost its personal touch.

Amazing experience printing some urgent programs for a performance, and John was amazing! He went out of his way to help me, even when the formatting of the document was wrong on my end, he helped me find an app to correct it, and made sure I was well taken care of. I also witnessed him helping dozens of other people on a busy night with only a smile on his face! Everyone left happy. Highly recommend!

I’m in here often for printing/returns services. The main guy who is likely the manager is typically rude and short with customers. However, today I was helped by Leroy and he was very helpful and kind! Thank you Leroy!

I had an extremely disappointing experience at the Staples branch located on the Upper West Side this past month. I felt compelled to write this as my first review to express my frustration and dissatisfaction with the service I received, particularly due to the actions of the manager, Maribel.Upon waiting to checking out the one item that I bought at the store, I was called on by a Maribel in line, who then insisted I download the Staples app for exclusive deals. I politely declined at first, but she continued to push the issue, promising that I would benefit from it. Reluctantly, I agreed to download the app, thinking it would be a quick process. Little did I know what awaited me.I spent over an hour waiting in line, attempting to get the app to work on my device, as Maribel assured me there were fantastic deals waiting for me. Unfortunately, despite my efforts, I ended up with no deals at all. This not only wasted my time but also left me feeling frustrated and misled. To make matters worse, the store's air conditioning was non-existent or malfunctioning, making the already uncomfortable situation even more unbearable. I was sweating profusely and feeling extremely uncomfortable throughout my visit.Additionally, the way she talked to her staff was insanely rude. The store was understaffed, hence why she was probably working at the register. These kids looked to be teenagers, and to be fair they were trying their best, but during my hour standing in line waiting to finally be done with this app download, I witnessed her disrespectfully address some of these kids over her walkie-talkie, or just by straight up yelling at them across the store. Poor kids, working in the heat probably for a minimum wage salary, and then they have to deal with this manager from H***.After enduring the lengthy ordeal with the app, I asked a store employee if I could use the restroom, hoping to find some relief. To my dismay, I was informed that there was no restroom available for customers. This lack of basic facilities is simply unacceptable and adds to the already unpleasant experience.I urge Staples to address these issues promptly to ensure that other customers do not have to endure such a frustrating and unpleasant experience. Customer service and basic amenities should be a top priority for any business, and it is clear that this branch has fallen short in both regards.

I literally never write these, but this time the experience really got to me. I ordered a pack of business cards that was to be ready on-site the day of (Wednesday 9/13), because I needed them by Friday the 22nd. When I arrived they weren't ready because there was an issue with the machine, and I was told to come Sunday instead. Come Sunday, they printed them on this cheap paper that wasn't what I ordered. I'm again told to come Wednesday. When I got there, they AGAIN printed them on that same paper and told me it'd be ready in 20 minutes. So I came back this morning (9/21), to be told I've come back "too soon." As I said, I ordered these cards more than a week in advance, and they were supposed to be ready the day of.Listen I'm not blaming anybody for a broken machine, but I wish they didn't waste my time.

I went in early this morning to print a few things and there was only one woman working the front print area. To say she was good at her job is an understatement - she was beyond lovely and juggled so many customers rushing in and out with grace, a smile, and precision. I will definitely be going back and hope she gets the praise she deserves!

In the slow time passage of traditional brick and mortar retail stores' very disappointing closures from the rise in online shopping, it is becoming harder and harder to locate a Staples store. I have always been loyal to Staples since my college days. It is my primary source to purchase printer ink cartridges, three-ring binders, binder dividers, binder pocket dividers, and standard copier paper. This Staples store #746 is accessible within walking vicinity via MTA's 1 train at 79th Street intersecting 80th Street and 81st Street in Upper West Side, Manhattan. It is huge with three stories of printing and copying service (1st floor); retail products (2nd floor) of hard wood open staircase; and home and office furniture (3rd floor). Upon ascending the long-winding wooden staircase I was promptly greeted on the 2nd floor and serviced to attain my printer ink cartridge. Customer service is welcoming and resourceful as I was able to attain my immediate need. The sales associate was not very knowledgeable with printer ink cartridge brand names and the compatible with the device. Staples once, pre 2010 era, carried a master ink cartridge book listing all the brand name printer device models with compatible cartridge which has been eliminated all across the country as sales associates now search engine the cartridge number. Ergo, I made this sales associate work to earn his pay check!

If you’re going to take on Amazon and other brand returns, please hire and train up more staff to take it on. One person to handle both returns and general printing needs is insanely untenable with the volume of people that come into this store.Update: my situation was solved (after a 15 minute wait). Thinking deeper, this is majorly unfair for the single employee dealing with this setup and operation. Thanks to them though for still keeping a smile!!!

One stop shop for all office /home office/school supply needs as well as Moving ? and packing items too. Staples has good quality computers and electronics..It’s very Well stocked and honestly very very well maintained store in NYC. staff was very helpful and they showed me how to operate the bog scanner. I had to urgently print/scan that’s how I landed here .(had to do it in 15 mins so couldn’t get home) . The home office furniture collection is awesome , they have very affordable and good quality office furniture like computer desk, height adjusting desk and computer chairs. On a side note you can make a spare key ? also they have a machine

I ordered 250 business cards using my own design. My first time ordering them from Staples. I needed them for networking event. First, I did not like the process of having to order them online only. Second, Staples did not print them true to color. The design I gave them did not match the cards I was handed. They printed out too dark and not colors I wanted. Third, I ran into Staples General Manager Joanna Pena at the networking event I needed the cards for, incidentally. I shared with her my issues with the printing job. She asked me what store, I told her, then she handed me her card, and told me to email her to have the 250 business cards I paid for printed correctly. I showed her the business card and she agreed the colors did not match my design. Person in store tried telling me that maybe my monitor did not display the colors as-is. I reject this because I paid for the design and it looks the same on every device. In conclusion, the General Manager promised me correction at in-person b2b networking event but has not responded to my email in 3 months. No correction, no refund, no reprints. I will be going elsewhere for my custom printing needs. I have tried handing out the business cards I paid for but people tell me they can't read it and I am stuck with them. SMH.

Service here sucks. Took two papers to be laminated the clerk their tells me I have to make an appointment for tomorrow for something that literally takes 30 seconds totally rediculous and unacceptable it's one of the only stores that does this!
