Great products all around. Flavors always hit - def recommend coming here to get sausages and cured meats vs going to Asian grocery stores and getting the vacuum sealed packaged stuff.

My family were old customers of this store for as long as I can temembet. We sold their sausages from our DC Chinese mom & pop grocery store. Our Mee Wah Lung closed after over 65 years of business. Like many of the old Chinatown stores we got driven out by gentrification & exorbitant rising taxes. Ming Jan will always be our favorite vendor. Now we only buy when friends can go up to NYC and bring back the good stuff.I wish for them to continue a very long & prosperous business & family life. They are the best. Totally, real Chinese sausages. No one beats their flavor.

Rare find, a Chinese place that still preserves pork belly, sausage, duck and chicken pieces. Can't wait to head back to NYC, will buy 15lbs of each to take home. Family and friends loved them, much better tasting compared to the pre packaged store bought. My favorites are the duck liver sausage and pork belly! .

Got this from the store yesterday. Not sure what it is called in English but it is one of those leaf wrapped rice. The yellow kind. It is disgusting. Maybe it is our bad luck. It's moldy and smell bad. Will not buy from here again.

Hands down the BEST Chinese sausages I've had. My Chinese is limited but, pointing and saying how many pounds, got me a variety o sausages and lap yuk (cured pork belly). I didn't realize (based on other reviews) that they had a far wider selection. My parents and in-laws were quite impressed with my souvenir gift (I'm from Chicago). Next time, I will definitely leave room in my suitcase and maybe try some of the other offerings. Price was super reasonable (7.95/lb for the sausages) especially considering recent inflation. CASH ONLY, so be prepared.

Here you can buy traditional Cantonese canned meat and sausages. Their canned duck is salted and dried properly, so it remains tender, unlike what is sold in supermarkets. Also love their lap cheong, canned pork sausage and Yun cheong, canned liver sausage. No fuss and definitely cash only. Steam them while you cook the rice and you have the perfect salty and meaty sausage that can be sliced and eaten on its own or with rice and vegetables. The good thing for me and everyone else is that the person behind the counter speaks above average English and will help you navigate among the delicious choices.

Amazing high quality meats with a great selection! The Chinese sausages here are top notch and the zongzi are one of the best you can find in Chinatown.

I've burrowed through most of the Chinatown hole in the walls for the perfect zongzi (a sticky rice ball packed with meats and wrapped in bamboo leaf and steamed) but before I get to that, I have to give a great shoutout to the pork sausage sold here. Bright red, juicy, both sweet and salty, the sausage ruined hot dogs for me growing up in a very homogenous suburb. I could not for the life of me understand why my classmates were so desperate to get their hands on a overly boiled, rubbery grey frank when they could have Chinese pork sausage steamed over rice. Anyway. They have great sausages here and they'll chop them up for you if asked. They also have a smoked duck version that goes great with eggs and hot sauce. But you absolutely cannot leave here without getting at least two or three zongzi. They rotate out the selection each day - I've gotten the peanut and pork, as well as the green bean and sausage. If you've never had one, you may feel a little disappointed but I urge you to keep eating and make sure to get both rice and filling in one bite. I personally prefer the meat zongzi over any of the vegetarian kind. And definitely do NOT eat the bamboo wrapper. You must take it off first. I saw a guy do this trying to impress a date and she damn near laughed her head off.

A must visit if you are shopping in Chinatown. Multigenerational mom and pop Chinese style charcuterie shop. Pork sausage, duck liver sausage, cured pork belly, dried duck and chicken. You slice them thin and either stir fry or steam for 5 mins. It's delicious and super affordable. 4 links on sausage and 2 links of pork belly is about $10. Not many shops like this left in Chinatown so go visit while you still can.
