Pleasantly surprised by this little hotel! Rooms were immaculate and surprisingly roomy for NYC. Excellent customer service with their contactless check in and of course, fantastic location . Price is absolutely a great value.Walkability: Everything is in walking distance

Just don't! Booked a room, got 2 calls at 10:45pm, which is completely inappropriate, that they are doing renovations and they have to cancel my reservation. They said that I have to contact expedia about it when it would be 1000% easier for them to do it because if I have to it makes it seems like I'm trying to cancel the reservation and avoid fees. Again I had to do this with expedia at 11pm when I have to wake up at 6am for work. They also absolutely screwed me over because now I have to make last minute reservations for a hotel and pay way more than I should have. Absolutely ridiculous. Didn't give me anything but a "sorry". Would never ever attempt to stay here again and I suggest whoever is reading this don't either.

Great view from the 4th floor! We loved this place because of the location literally right in east village, walking distance from Astor place, or Bleecker, soho, or noho! This was the best nyc trip I’ve had to far the spot is too convenient!!!! I would totally stay again, it’s so dingey in some spot but the window wasn’t broken heat and ac worked well. Bed was amazing. Very clean bathroom. Fridge microwave SINK PLATES FORKS !! It places comes with everything, and ppl normally stay there for a long time clearly but we stayed for one night. It was perfect! So much food around!Nearby activities: So many restaurants and A lot of bars!!!!! If you’re here for Santa con or bar hopping or if your single east village at night is the place to beWalkability: Close to everything!!!

No complaints about the hotel itself, but you can forget about getting any sleep. The noise level is incredible. Rumbling trucks on 1st Ave., ambulances with sirens all nights long, cars revving and drunks shmoozing outside East Village Pizza across the street. I swear I got woken up every 5 minutes, all night long. The hotel provided earplugs which aren't really an option if you have to set an alarm to get up early. It's sad because the hotel itself is nice.

Poorly Managed, Understaffed and loud street noise but no worries they provide ear plugs for all guest free. Water in the fridge is $1.00 and they failed to provide daily cleaning and did not have staff to replace my wet towels having stayed three days. I had issues with my stay from the time I arrived and until I left. The room had stains on the walls, tile, glass and linen. They have rules for the rules and beware and read the negative reviews as this property was a total fail. Management failed to reply to my concerns and has failed to find a resolution. Housekeeping does not arrive until 10 -11 am as they are clearly mismanaged. They charged me $10 to drop my luggage and then once I arrived they said that the staff would not be able to secure your bag until 10 am but to leave my unattended bags in the lobby/foyer and not to loiter as I felt dissed as I did not want my bags unattended. Read there many negative reviews and I will mention that one of the chairs was broken and the battery for the tv remote was missing it cover.

This hotel has no lobby and zero customer service. The basic things you would expect at a hotel are not available. Do yourself a favour and spend a little more and stay at a place that feels safe and welcoming.

Poorly managed, understaffed and 1/2 mile walk to the subway station. Management failed to resolve many issues and choose to not reply or take any calls from me. To start everyone staying in this small property must endure the loud street noise as they even provide each guest with free earplugs. The housekeeping staff does not start until 10 or 11 am and early check in is offered but due to the shortage of staff unavailable. I contacted the property on my arrival and was told for a $10 fee I can leave my luggage with staff. Upon arriving at the property as early check in was not available and when I arrived at 9 am I was given the code to enter the foyer/lobby. I was told the staff would arrive at 10 but to leave my luggage as they have 24 hour surveillance. No thank you, not in New York and not when I have all my clean clothes, medicine, computer equipment . Would you? The brick wall is stained, and they charge you $1 a bottle if you take the water from the fridge. Rules have rules, and they failed to replace any of my wet towels for our 3 day stay and housekeeping never cleaned my room. On the day of my check out I choose to discuss and resolve a issue and decided to leave me luggage at the sister property and was given a claim ticket. That was the proper way to take one's luggage. When it was time to leave with my luggage the front desk clerk delivered me someone else luggage. Management was made aware of overcharges and choose not to reply to my emails or to return any of my calls. I will put this matter in dispute with my Amex. Please look at all the negative reviews as this property has many issues guest.

We stayed four days at the East Village hotel, the advantages, our location, and having an efficiency kitchen available. The rooms are ample and clean. The bed was comfortable even if we had to readjust the slats under the mattress. The bathroom was clean and quite functional. The only complaint I have is the bath towels were so small you could not even wrap them around your waist as in all New York hotels the hot water takes a while to get going .The kitchenette was adequate for our needs with a microwave stove, top dishwasher and refrigerator. There were minimal utensils, We did have to request a can opener, which was delivered the following day. The television was a bit of a challenge, a written diagram would have been helpful On the third floor, the windows kept some of the street noise away but if you are sensitive, you’re going to need the earplugs provided by the hotel. All told we were quite happy with the hotel cleanliness , location, sleep quality, and kitchen amenities. I would stay there again, it’s a great value if you want to do some of your own food preparation. although it is not staffed with anyone on site, each time I phoned for help , my call was answered and responded to promptly.

Clean rooms, small kitchenette, perfect for solo travellers or a couple. Not good for families as the rooms are compact. Not silent but fairly quiet.

Staying here was a fantastic experience for the price point. Essentially you have a studio apartment in a real neighborhood that's convenient to transit. This isn't a conventional hotel, which aligns with my personal preference when visiting NYC. My room was clean and comfortable, and I'd definitely stay here again. Ear plugs are provided, though I didn't find a need for them during my week-long stay.if you stay a little longer than a few nights, the under-the-bed storage is a useful touch!

Room reeked of what smelled like cleaner or some kind of pesticide. Even with the window open it was very strong. Don't plan on getting any sleep here because the housekeepers are extremely loud. I'm talking nonstop yelling full conversations down the hallway at 6 am. The only thing I liked was the contact less check in. I wouldn't stay here again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the East Village hotel last November and it was an absolute delight! The location couldn't have been more perfect - in the heart of East Village, it was incredibly walkable to shops and restaurants. Despite being in a lively area, the hotel itself was surprisingly quiet, offering a peaceful retreat from the city. Our room was just right for the two of us, cozy and well-appointed. The kitchenette was a bonus. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to return! Highly recommended.

Bad service and the room was a dump. Lights didn’t work, TV didn’t work, and bed really cheap and uncomfortable. I called “Sean the hotel manager” about TV for troubleshooting help and instead got a young girl on phone who didn’t care at all and offered late checkout as a consolation. Lol. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

Nice, clean room for the price. Great check-in/check-out process. Comfy bed. Shower needs a little updating, but overall the room was very good. Hotel in a nice neighborhood too. Would definitely stay here again!
