The Beekman is beautiful. We booked a basic room and it was small, but standard I'm sure for New York. One thing that did frustrate us was that, in a room with extremely limited space, the hotel chose to take up a huge chunk of it with a snack and beverage cart (with snacks and beverages that were not complimentary). It feels very odd that a 5 start hotel would try to nickel and dime you with chips and bottled water. There was a mini fridge under the cart, so we thought that it at least served some kind of purpose, but when we went to put leftovers in there we found it to be completely packed to the brim with more drinks that we had to pay for to drink. We weren't even able to use a basic hotel room amenity because they were trying so hard to sell us stuff! It cheapened the experience for us a bit. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was beautiful and very clean. Plenty of space for the two of us to get ready. Room service was wonderful and came twice a day, once for cleaning and again for turn down service. We only had one issue that we needed help with and concierge was very helpful and efficient. The hotel was quiet for the most part, but our room was not facing any main street. We did notice that the hotel has a lot of younger patrons, and hosts a lot of events (there were like 4 weddings while we were there), so there was some unruly hallway noise late at night. It woke us up a few times but not enough to really cause an issue. Based on less than stellar reviews, we chose not to eat at the restaurant(s) or bar, but they were packed every single night. If you want to eat there, you probably need a reservation! We enjoyed our stay overall, but would probably not book again only because we found ourselves spending so much time walking to other neighborhoods for food, drinks, shopping, and activities. If the Beekman is close to the things you want to do, I would recommend!

Our 10-year celebration was shadowed by neglect at The Beekman, where anticipation met disappointment. The saga commenced at check-in, revealing a room devoid of basic toiletries, setting a precedent for the days to follow. Despite explicit requests—confirmed twice—for room cleaning over our 3-night journey, action was taken on only one occasion, leaving us in a perpetual state of discontent. When our room was grudgingly attended to, the service was superficial at best: counters, desks, and nightstands bore the tales of previous encounters, marred with debris and untouched trash. Personal items, including computers and toothbrushes, were recklessly displaced—abandoned on the floor and in the shower, devoid of care. Our plea for shower caps—a simple request—dragged on for an hour, further straining our patience and cramping our evening plans. The absence of fresh towels and unchanged sheets amplified our discomfort, painting a grim picture of neglect. What was to be a joyous celebration of a decade together turned into a narrative of oversight. Offered a mere consolation of 2 bar coupons amidst our voiced concerns at the front desk felt like a dismissive gesture, inadequately addressing the gravity of our compromised stay. Our anniversary, earmarked for joy, was eclipsed by a litany of lapses at The Beekman, deeply engraving our experience with disappointment.

Staying at The Beekman was an unforgettable experience! This hotel combines luxury, history and incredible service. Every corner of this place impresses with its beauty. This is a true masterpiece among hotels in New York!

I walked through the Hotel lobby as I looked for the fabulous Mezzanine. The Mezzanine can be seen from the Templecourt bar, part of the Hotel with its own entrance. I haven't rated the rooms or service because I didn't use these.

Amazing stay! The architecture of the building is really unique and the morning coffee bar was so nice. Unfortunately I did not have time to try the bar but it looked very energetic and fun. Will definitely come back :)

I've stayed here multiple times for work and for vacation trips to NY and can't keep myself from coming back. The aesthetic and service is unlike anywhere else I've been in NYC. It's an easy walk to transit stations if you can tear yourself away from the cozy rooms and electric atmosphere of the bar/restaurant on the bottom floor. Looking forward to my next stay!

The room is fine and the bathroom really nice. The problems we are having where the ac that was too hot, the room that costed over 500 dolars, had a cigarette tip by the window, I came down for ice at night and the front desk told me that they deliver at the room, I waited for over one hour and gave up. The food was too overpriced for what it was, really bad, and we came for the food that had a famous Chef responsible for. We still have another night here and really hope someone does something to make our anniversary a lot better.
