I bought a pair of loafers and when I tried them at home they rode up on my heel and gave me a blister. I called the store to replace them but they said they won't do it because the return window had passed ( I was abroad in between and time flew by). But, the store person said, contact customer service, they will be able to help. So I dug up the customer service email and described the problem clearly to them and told them I can provide more info IF there is something they can do about it. I received an email (probably from a bot) asking for documentation -- photos of the shoes and of the receipt with store info. This took me a while to do, because I took detailed photos that were fairly big (in terms of file size) so I needed several emails, etc etc. After all this (about one hour of my time) I get an email back saying that, oh no, we are not "able" to exchange it, we only do that if there is a manufacturer's defect etc. Making a shoe too big so that it rides up (a problem they knew about from the start) IS a manufacturer's defect in my view. Poor quality stuff and corporate b---t, I'll stay away from now on.

The only Black female employee who was present while I was shopping went above and beyond to assist not only myself, but several other customers on the floor as well. Other employees were carrying on with personal conversations while she appeared to be the only one actually greeting and assisting folks. Kudos to you girl!

Huge shoutout to Maggie. I've seen enough chunky Docs in east village to finally cave and want some of that style for myself. The chunkier, the better. I wandered into the store with no clue where to start. Maggie swooped in, quickly sizing up my feet and my style. Before I knew it, she had me trying on pairs that fit perfectly, no idea how she figured it out so quickly. Thanks to her, I didn't just leave with one, but two pairs of Docs that have quickly become staples in my wardrobe. I'll definitely be back, probably for another pair. Thanks Maggie!

Bonnie was such a great help when I was browsing the store. I ended up buying 2 pairs of boots that day! Unfortunately one pair had a slight manufacturing issue. I went back in today and Maggie made the exchange super easy. All the staff is super friendly!

The store manager Christina Richards at the Dr. Martens Union Square store made our shopping experience fun and productive. She has great energy, super friendly, and knows her stuff. My wife bought hot pink platform boots. At first they were a little big, Christina fixed that by putting insole's in the boots which made them fit perfectly. Thank you Christina for all your help.

I love this doc martens location! Makayla is always friendly, helpful and extremely patient with my lack of knowledge. She recommended a much needed insole that made my pair fit perfectly. Even gave tips on treatment and breaking in shoes. Ended up with two new pairs and the confidence to be comfortable in them. Will always opt out for this location!!

I went in 10 minutes before the store closed (since my socks were wet from the pouring rain) when Annabelle quickly helped me figure out the proper size boot for me. Not only that, but they gave me tips on how to look out for them. Will be back here again!

Wonderful staff! I called in 8/23 looking for a specific shoes that I saw online. (They didn't have it) It put a slight sad in my day but the lovely gentleman (did not specify pronouns. I'm sorry!) suggested I get them sent to post office after mexplaining how hood my area is and package WILL be stolen. Unfortunately...The post office is also trash so I decided to head in store. Everyone was super nice and understood my frustration. They helped me choose a color I'd like and also gave input on me customizing them. They were all so nice and supportive instead of trying to upsell me something else. We love a support team! I ended up buying 2 pairs and messing with one. Thanks for being amazing!

AP was extremely helpful in finding me a pair of shoes that actually fit. I am in between sizes so most were tight in the toe or loose in the heel. He found me some made of a softer leather with padding around the heel that fit perfectly!
