This is a small coffee shop on the west side that I visited with a colleague a few weeks ago. It was just a brief stop to grab something to go. The place is small enough that they don't have much seating. The coffee was good.

Off the main the street, cozy setting with the heat warmers, & the gentleman was friendly. Just ordered coffee.

Do not order the Lemonade, it was undrinkable! Tried adding lots of simple syrup but it was horrendous. Bought for my 10 year old, Had to throw it out! Would have complained but I got dirty looks from the employee when I was adding the simple syrup.Maple oat latte was delicious, but expensive for a tiny cup.No restrooms so hope you don’t have to pee!

I placed a 17 breakfast burrito order 24 hours in advance for delivery through their website. When it had not been delivered at the agreed upon time I called the store with no answer. The previous day I also called with no answer. Then I called the number of the courier I received from The Elk and the number was out of service. I continued to call the Elk and finally the phone was answered. I was then told this was supposed to be ordered as catering and that essentially it was my fault for not ordering the correct way and not at all their fault that they could not handle orders that were placed even 24 hours in advance. They told me in the future to have an email dialogue through their website to place my orders. I place 300 dollar orders for my office multiple times per week and I guess this will be business the Elk will not receive as working with them would require extra leg work on my end and they obviously do not have a process in place to make sure their orders make it to their customers on time. Bummer.

Poor customer service from the man at the cash register, short brown hair, mid 30s it seems. My mother was in line to get coffee and stepped to the left to look at the pastries. As she did this, a woman behind her took that as an opportunity to step up to the register and order. My mother didn't comment, after the woman gave her order, she stepped up to the register. The man told her he "wouldn't be taking her order because she cut people in the line". 2 customers in line vouched for my mother saying she hadn't cut, at that point the man proceeded to take her order. However he didnt apologize for his rude behavior. Maybe he forgot part of his job requires some level of customer service, as he's working as a cashier in a coffee shop.

Adorbs . Very village like spot . Charming cute and friendly vibes . You do need to know though there isn’t any seating inside and there are a few stairs to go in just incase wheelchair access is a concern . Lots of spots to sit outside . Mike who waited on me was very helpful nice & welcoming . Love this vibe and the cucumber soda was delish .

Great quick spot for a variety of things - snacks, coffee, smoothies, juice, pastries...! Love a morning latte from here. They're quick, even when the line was long. I've also tried a few pastries - the muffins are awesome!

It is a cute cafe but they don’t have restrooms and it is very crowded. The coffee was really good but I would not recommend the food there. The porridge tastes like water and the chia pudding was too expensive for this small portion.

Overall rating: 3.4For West Village, yeah, I guess it’s good. But this breakfast burrito is not worth $17. There should be more for this price, regardless of the location.

Cute shop with amazing coffee. The baristas are personable and make delicious coffee. If you're around, there's no reason not to stop by.

I've seen The Elk in West Village be mentioned in so many instagram reels that I gave it a try with high expectations. I ordered my iced oat latte, which is my go to order at any coffee shops. I was disappointed, the coffee tasted so watery and bland. It was not worth $7. Maybe the food is good here? I may be a harsh critic but I don't know if it's worth the hype
