Did a tour of the apartments - by far it’s the nicest luxury building we toured in LES and you can tell it’s well maintained and managed.

First, right next to the legendary Katz, what more you need?! Even though I didn’t taking pictures of hallway and lobby, this build is the most glamorous one in the 30+ rental building I saw, because it’s so high up and nothing stands higher next to the ludlow, you will have a breathtaking view at any corner, or rooftop! And my guide, she is vey nice and super beautiful, like Victoria’s Secret model jump out from the screen, and she is so patient even with broken ankle, she walked entire building with me, really appreciate! And for the room, it’s got a tons of storage space. maybe a bit of outdated on the color combo for the room and kitchen, but everything is nice any solid, not a cheap staff. The only downside that prevented me to choose the ludlow, is lack of in room laundry. If you don’t care about it, I have great news for you, they have in house laundry with SAME day drop off service!

Beautifully done rooms and cool decor, and in a brilliant area of town with cool bars and restaurants. Breakfast in-room was extremely expensive, but it was also excellent when it came. Not a typical hotel experience of marble floors and grand lobbies, but no less thoughtfully designed and appointed. Forget the Empire State Building, the view from the publicly accessible roof of this hotel, by the gym, is excellent. For some reason I only took a pic of the bathroom but hey, it looks pretty chic there.

Great rooftop view of the city, many available amenities. Right by Katz

Unfortunately i can't recommend that anyone stay here. It's just not worth it. Let me explain: My mom paid $900 for 3 nights, which wouldn't have been a problem had it actually been worth the money. She bought this room for me, and called them TWICE prior to check in to ask if there was something she needed to fill out and to ensure that they didn't give me any problems while trying to check in. So upon arrival, i try to check in and they tell me that I can't check in because the person who bought the room (my mom) wasn't there. Now keep in mind we called twice before this to handle this exact problem. Apparently, their staff isn't knowledgeable about the procedures or they just straight up failed to tell us. So they had me wait in the lobby for 45 minutes while they sort that out! 45!!!! Who wants to wait in the lobby after getting off a long flight? Then I asked if I could at least put my bags in the room while they got payment sorted out and they said no. So at this point, it's pretty clear that customer service is the last thing they give a damn about. THEN they told me that they didn't have any more rooms with a view, which is what I paid extra for. After i complained, they stuck me in a room directly over the bar, so guess who got literally no sleep the entire time she was there? Yep. Me. It was loud, the music and bass were bumping, and there were people on the patio outside my window. Keep in mind i was here for a business conference so my sleep was precious. My bed sheets had holes in them. My shower handle was broken (pictures below) and the shower knob itself is impossibly hard to pull out of the wall. On the two occasions I called for assistance, once from maintenance and once from the Bellhop, no one came. The breakfast sucked. There's supposed to be someone to open the door for you but he was either on his phone or nowhere to be found. Their mini fridges are equipped with some kind of system that charges you if you so much as MOVE an item over, rendering the fridge useless. It wasn't about giving the customer an amenity to use, it's about them making money. Oh, and the one time i tried to go to the bar for a cold glass of water, the ice machine was broken. The bartender told me it had "been a long week." Yeah, you and me both buddy. When it was time to check out; the line was so long it wrapped around to the elevators. All in all, I've had much better stays elsewhere and I will not be returning. I personally don't recommend staying here.

This is a great location and the rooms are fine, but when we checked the credit card statement two weeks later there were two questionable charges. The first was an amenities charge of around $20.00 and then there was an extra charge for the original price of the room plus a $200 deposit. I called the hotel, spoke to the front desk, and they told me that the person who was in the accounting department stepped out and they assured me they would call me back. Predictably they never did. A week later the amenities charge was dropped, but the double charge for the stay plus the deposit was still there. My credit card company is recommending that I get a new credit card or wait. So I called the hotel again and they keep dropping my call.

Gorgeous hotel! I usually book the one bedroom suite with the HUGE terrace. One of the best hotel rooms in ALL of NYC (boasts views of uptown and downtown). What makes this AMAZING hotel a three star hotel (in my book) is the staff. The staff at Hotel Indigo (LES) are not welcoming, friendly, nor do they have the common qualities of people who work in customer service. Each time I stay (which has been 4 or 5 times) the staff has been the ones to make my experience negative. It REALLY is unfortunate because it is my favorite hotel in NYC. PS: if you are looking for a luxe experience & amazing service I recommend Intercontinental Barclay Hotel in Midtown!!!

I was disappointed with this hotel. The reviews and pictures made it seem like it would be a nice experience. The room was underwhelming. The rain shower head didn't work, the ceiling in the bathroom had mold growing on it, and the outlets on the night stand were broken with black electrical tape peeling off them. If you plan on sleeping in your room, I wouldn't book this hotel. The club on the top floor is loud and you can hear people on the street until 4am or so from your room. The location is good though! Close to the F train and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby.

Just finished a stay here with my husband. We enjoyed the hotel, especially the location and the service we received during our stay. It was awesome to have Mr. Purple on the rooftop and the option to show our room key and skip the line! Only downside is that there were no bathrooms or typical hotel amenities in the lobby, and the parking situation isn't great (but that's just part of the city I guess). Overall, we would stay here again.

Arrived at 1 a.m and had seemless check in. Very hip vibe here because of the Mr. Purple rooftop bar. You check-in on the 14th floor. We were upgraded to an extra spacious room. Thankfully. These NY hotel rooms can be tiny. Very comfortable bed, large bathroom and very very comfortable! If I were to return, id make sure it was only weekday. The roof top bar clientele uses the same elevators as hotel guests. It can get a bit crazy. Great location with Katz's at the corner. Many nice restaurants within walking distance. The Italian one, right next door is great!! We'd return.

I've stayed at the Hotel Indigo a handful of times. All of the experiences have been challenging. On multiple occasions there have been cockroaches in my room. It is exceptionally loud at night. The thermostats in the room are unpredictable at best - my current room won't go below 73 degrees even with the AC on. The mini bar is rarely restocked. The front desk staff has zero sense of urgency and it takes a very long time to process guests in or out.

I stayed 3 times in the last two months. My last stay was this week for 4 nights. The +: The hotel is modern, with a great view on the 14th floor and the bar on the 15th is amazing. I had a bottle of water and chocolate waiting in my room because I complained in my last stay that I couldn't sleep all night because I was on the 15th floor. (Avoid at all cost during the weekend as they are partying hard at the bar). -great upgraded view The -: I am a Marriott Platinum and I tried to switch to IHG but I don't think you get the same level of amenities(platinum level IHG too) I don't get the same level of service. They don't offer water, you are charged $8 per bottle. They charge $30 destination fee which is non sense for business travel. I asked to have it waved a few times and the last time I asked, the front desk said : it includes WiFi, the gym, access to the bar (as everyone else?!), housekeeping, and a discount on dry cleaning. Nothing that should be charged extra in my opinion. The staff wasn't friendly: at the front I always had to open the door because the staff was in their phone. No greetings during 4 days. The breakfast: how can you only have orange jelly for 4 days?! Every day I heard a different reason but the last day took the cake, they were out of it completely. I asked how it's possible to be out of jelly, he told me the "Amazon group" just had breakfast and took it all. So a bagel with no butter because they are out and no jelly?!?! For $6? He found the last 2. Again I'm busy going in and out for work and the basic needs should be taking care off. Not friendly staff or personable there either. I'm really trying to like this place but the basics aren't up to par in my opinion. (Stupid destination fee, no water, sad breakfast and it looks like I'm not getting points for that stay either.)

Great hotel. Beautiful lobby, gym, bar, etc. Staff is courteous and attentive, and it's perfectly located next to a wealth of restaurants and bars. But the $29 a day surprise "destination fee" they charge you when you check out is BS. You should absolutely give customers a heads up on that fee prior to booking. So I wanted to spread the word. But otherwise this was a great place to stay.
