The building is magnificent, full of history, both on the facade and inside. Admission is free to visit the temporary exhibition on the ground floor. To the first, access is reserved for club members. An impressive place!

My son and I saw a very pleasant exhibition of American impressionist painters. The building is a pretty old house, a bit musty. The most interesting bit is that such old member clubs still exist, complete with member only dining rooms. Righ next door is another one, the Players, club. I would have loved to know who the members are, but the guard at the door just said: " All kinds ". It was the last hour of the last day of the impressionist exhibition, so I think he wanted to home. go

I give a shit where you shit...National Arts Club: where going to the bathroom is a masterpiece. With eight stalls in the women's restroom, it's like a private party for your bladder. The selfie mirrors are so gorgeous; even your reflection will be impressed. The decorations are so fancy; you might forget you're in a bathroom. And rejoice - the TP rolls are put on correctly! It's a restroom revolution, and National Arts Club is leading the way.

Beautiful building and an art collection worth visiting. I visited to attend a stellar musical performance. Another NYC gem that i somehow missed in the decades living here.

I attended an event here recently and also had lunch with a member in the past but am not a member myself. This is a beautiful old building, and while you do have to be a member or friends with one to eat in the restaurant, they also host a lot of events open to the public for only token entry fees (or sometimes free.) Get on their email list to find out about gallery openings, lectures, etc. The event I had attended was in a lovely art gallery space, so nice scenery. It was well-organized with passed hors d'oeuvres and an open bar. The servers were professional and polite, and the hors d'oeuvres all were tasty. I'd recommend attending or hosting a reception here if given the chance! The building itself is gorgeous and worth seeing if you have the opportunity.
