If you enjoy paying a 39% markup over other local stores and like interacting with employees than haven't been trained in the store's products then 'The Pet Market' is for you.

Overpriced most likely due to their high rent great for an emergency but not for maintenance weekly for your pet

Decent pet shop. I get my litter here, sometimes they're out of what I want. I feel they're pricey, but generally cheaper than Amazon. Delivers in the neighborhood for free.

I had to call and check on getting dog food and the staff was beyond helpful and also helped me with free delivery. Please use this location!!

WARNING FOR ANYONE PATRONIZING THIS STORE: The store owner (or at least, the guy who claims to be the store owner) thought it'd be a great idea when we were alone in the store to hit on me in a creepy, uncomfortable way. This particularly sucks because I'd been buying from them for weeks so they have my phone number/possibly address in their rewards/delivery system, but I guess I'd just never been in the store alone before. Look man, I'm just trying to buy my cat food....could you maybe not be a total creep?

Wow their prices are nuts. Paid $6.99 for a product I usually get for $2.25 and $30 for a bag of dry food I get at other stores in NYC for $16. Do not shop here unless you are really desperate or really wealthy!

Oh, must add that for a long time we were getting large bags of a cat litter delivered. They had our credit card and so we just had them charge it. The litter was $8 or 9.99 per bag. I hadn't bothered to look on the receipt that was attached to the litters we've received for months. Then, I did, and to my shock, they were now charging us $17.99 per bag for the exact same thing!! Not sure how long it'd been going on; I asked them to check the price which they did, said it was the right price, couldn't tell me when the price switch happened. So now, at Pet Central, I get the same one for $7.99. Wow. Ripped off and didn't even know it.

The people that work here really care about animals and it shows. I recently got a Maine coon kitten and have had trouble with her appetite. The woman who works here has given tons of great advice, samples of food to try and genuinely cares about helping solve the problem. Her help has made a huge difference. It might cost a few bucks more, but human contact like this is one of the reasons that local businesses provide a better experience than Amazon ever will. Highly recommend the Pet Market!

A bit better then the usual assortment of cat food and products, good prices, very friendly staff, everyone is helpful and nice, how often does that happen? I highly recommend it

I am thrilled to have this small but reliably well-stocked and nice pet food and supply store in the neighborhood. My dog loves visiting for treats and it is always a pleasure to interact with the store's cat and staff.

nothing here has a price which would be fine if everything wasn't way overpriced. a 4.5 lb bag of dog food is being sold for half of what the 30 lb bag goes for. not even online: at a store across morningside.
