I wish I had seen the Yelp reviews before ordering a custom suit for my brother's birthday. I ordered it in October. By late November, the suit came in and did not fit. Measurements were off. I called about this in December, and the representative gave me several reasons the suit was problematic. 1. He told me he was new and still learning. He's been there for 1.5 years. 2. My brother's body is problematic, he says. Well, the purpose of getting a custom suit is so it fit a unique body. Even though I was told I would get a refund, I didn't get it. I had to call the corporate office and email multiple times. I'm told they will refund my money, and I'm still waiting. I worked with the Indianapolis office. I learned that they use tailors located overseas, which, in addition to taking wrong measurements, could have added to the inability to deliver. The sales rep never called me to confirm my refund but rather let me float out there wondering about my money--and having to call corporate and beg to get it back.

It all comes down to your rep. I had a guy in Charlotte, NC that was outstanding. The clothes he got me looked good and fit great with minimal adjustment. Yes the clothes are expensive; and yes they take a while to receive. But that is to be expected. In contrast, my experience with the two reps from the Charleston, SC office has been a nightmare!! - The first rep was almost always late to appointments- The clothes did not come close to fitting and sometimes they were so far off they had to be reordered- Alterations were almost always incorrect- Clothes would come in to the office but would not be delivered- The actual price charged was always higher than what was quoted- Some orders were apparently never even submitted- She would encourage me to buy certain things so that she could hit her bonus (yes seriously)- Could not/would not answer questions in regard to billing- When I pressed for info on charges and for a statement, she dropped my account (which she found quite amusing)I contacted the corporate office for help since the rep was unwilling or unable to answer questions. They asked me to give them another chance with a different rep. I agreed. What a mistake! The second rep was the first rep's boss who was brought on to resolve the problems with my account. He was every bit as bad as the first! Their M.O. was to jam in orders as fast as possible, jack up the price when you were not looking and then completely fail to service the account.This time when I contacted the corporate "Customer Retention Specialist". (Yes...that is what they call their customer service people), I was told that if I had issues, I was to contact my rep. That's it. No help at all. I was able to dispute a recent charge with AMEX but there is no doubt that I have been ripped off for at least a couple grand. For example, it appears that I bought a tuxedo but no such garment appears in my closet.Bottom line? Get a good rep and make them prove themselves before you order very much. Do not allow them to have your credit card even when they say they must have it. If things start to feel like they are "going South", do not assume they will make it right. Do not expect the corporate office to help if you have issues. On the positive side of the equation is that the clothes can look and fit good. Just be VERY VERY careful. Don't say I didn't warn you!

The clothes look great.The clothes fit well.The clothes are expensive.Most of my clothes are in need of basic repairs after a few wears.I can't continue buying

I had a terrible experience!! I had 3 appointments cancelled while trying to buy a $1340 blazer. One I had driven all the way from Ky and got a call canceling 15 minutes before arriving.Blazer is nice but would not recommend the service!!

I have been a Tom James client for over five years, and I continue to be impressed with their clothing selection, customer service, and industry knowledge. When it comes to custom clothing, you really can't ask for a better team than the one at Tom James.

Such excellent service - the quality is perfect - all the stitching is impeccable. I love working with Kaitlyn Hogan, she’s got an eye for detail and knows my style and she does a great job of keeping me in my budget - we just planned fall, so glad they are growing the women’s selection!!! Can’t wait for my order!!!

I was first brought into tom James as they were selling the jeans that I have been buying all my life,and some other casual clothing , suits were good. they discontinued the brand Jack of spades jeans after about 2 years now. Now I do not have a one stop shop for all resulting in me just buying all my clothing online.

Found Tom James online through being bombarded with ads it eventually worked and I was in contact with Miranda Murdoch. She made the process so easy being from a boy who never shopped alone by himself she was able to help guide me along the way. Miranda was so diligent and making sure that everything was pristine from the pants to the jacket she was super helpful and I will definitely be coming back to her regarding another blazer when that time occur. The quality of Tom James makes the wait worth it. You pay for the quality of service you get for sure and I would definitely recommend this company to a friend

If you care about fine clothing, then you owe it to yourself to give Tom James a try. No need to go to a store, they come to you and create bespoke solutions. Made in America as well!
