Horrible customer service. Do not go here. The selection is also very low quality. With the rude owner and the bad products I'm surprised they're still in business.

I bought a pair of boots and there was a problem with my credit card-my fault, not the store's. I called and the owner, Charlie, said he'd credit my card right away. After reading the reviews here I was very nervous. I was pleasantly surprised to see that he did just that. So in my experience he was honest and responsible. I would shop there again.

A friend and I popped in because the display looked amazing and I've been looking for a place to buy L'Artiste shoes without breaking the bank for a while. We were expecting high prices (it's NYC go figure) but the sale sign in the window convinced us to at least look. The person who helped us (manager? owner?) was super friendly and wasn't very pushy at all. I started out looking at the clearance shoes because the designs were still really pretty and it looked like a steal ($19.99 for, what he told me, were originally $80+ dollars - I'm a s***** for a good deal!). Picked out a pair of nice sandals and, because it was clearance, I asked the owner if the display sizes were the only sizes. He said he had been waiting for us to find something we liked and let him know about sizes; at this point we'd been in the store for more than 15 minutes, so coming back to leave a review and seeing that other people found the salespeople pushy was a surprise! Even though the owner said he might not have my size, he made sure to bring out a pair as close to my size as he could find as well as the right size in a different color so that I could at least see how they fit. Luckily, I ended up having gotten my own size wrong, and the pair that were the right color fit me like a glove. While I was looking at their vast array of oxford shoes (seriously, there are so many in this store - it's oxford and bootie heaven!), I noticed my friend lingering over a pair of knee-high boots. She kept doing rounds of the store and then coming back to stare at them so I told her to forget the price and at least try them on. My philosophy with shoes is to never buy them if they're "alright" but to ALWAYS buy them if they're love at first sight and it won't break the bank! I find you can wear shoes you buy this way for years and years without getting tired of them. In any case, she loved them and decided to get them after the owner let us know that there was a sale on EVERYTHING in the store at the moment! Due to pandemic, they hadn't been open for 5+ months and are currently overstocked. The only pair in her size that he had were the display shoes, so he went to find its other half. We waited for quite a while as he searched the shop from top to bottom to find the missing pair (apparently the other employees had moved the stock around in his absence) and, honestly, I didn't mind at all because it was clear he was doing his best to find it for us. I feel like employees at one of the more well-known stores like DSW or Steve Madden in Time Square would have given up after the first trip downstairs and come back to sell us something else. This man went back and forth at least three times: checking all the displays, going outside to see if it was in the window, going to the back to see if it was in the stockroom... I was really impressed by the effort he put in to finding this shoe! While he was looking, I had a chance to fall in love with a pair of chocolate oxfords and another pair of sandals (listen.... the shoes are that good! I swear I don't just have a shopping addiction!). Since I'm not a fan of buying the same style of shoe in one go, I was having trouble picking between the two because they gave off different vibes (casual vs. dressy-casual). Sensing my hesitation, the owner told me he'd give me a discount to help me make up my mind. Now, I'm aware that this is a business tactic but the shoes are great and I was half sure I'd be back to get whichever pair I'd left behind anyways, so the discount was really a bonus! In total, I bought three pairs of shoes that would usually cost around $90 - 140ish apiece for about $230 - if you haven't got a calculator, that's $76 per shoe. Sure, I can't tell my boyfriend that I spent $200+ dollars today without him looking at me like I'm crazy, but who really won here? (hint:

I purchased a pair of boots from this store and the owner charged me twice for them. He said if he made a mistake that I should return to him. After a few attempts of unanswered phone calls to resolve the issue, I got in touch with my bank and made a claim. They just got back to me and said the merchant said it was a valid purchase and the bank dropped it. I gave this guy $89.99, twice. I'll never come back to this place again.

Wasn't a planned stop but glad I did. Thought the customer service was fine but I didn't require a lot of help. Found a great pair of shoes that I've gotten TONS of complements on. If I'd had more room in my luggage, I'd have gotten them in all the colors.

Nice shoes, good quality, and best of all unique. I don't like wearing what everyone else is wearing. The only reason they got 4 instead of 5 stars is sometimes it can be pricey.... but then again if it wasn't everyone would be wearing it.
