A cool stop if you like geeky, nerdy, anime, etc ! Selection: I was actually pretty surprised by the selection they had ! They had everything from vintage toys/collectors items to modern ones - Godzilla to Star Trek to Sanrio ! They also have a lot of trading cards and a whole floor of anime figures Shop layout: It was a bit crowded for me between the shelving and the people but that did make it more exciting to potentially find a treasure ! Things to note: There is a lower level full of anime figures. This does have a flight of narrow stairs to get down. I didn't buy anything but it was definitely fun to browse

Epic shop - tons of unique stuff! Way better than I expected! In Florida, we don't have many shops like this...

Glad to spend without checking on price here. They got stuffs that are not easy to find. We travel oversea to come. Everyone in the family come out with items. We are a family of middle age / young adults and a teenager.... we geek out in there.

Always super stocked with quality blind boxes and collectibles. The prices are totally reasonable especially compared to other collectable/toy stores in the city. Staff is also always super friendly & helpful. They typically have sunny angels in stock as well which I know most places aren't.

Disclaimer: my daughter's feedback, not mine."Best anime shop in New York""More for the collector" than for the common fan. The Be@rBricks section alone makes that clear. I had never seen these before and here they are going for $1200+"Liked the Japanese toy machines" as you enter the basement. $5 gets you a token for a collectible toy."Whole case of collector cards"."Couldn't read anything on the boxes in the basement" because the writing was in Japanese. Again, I think this store leans toward the more passionate, experienced collector than young manga fans."Didn't have any books or manga". I would add comics to that list. So, there it is...the feedback from a passionate 12yr old manga fan who still rated it the best in NYC.

There’s really no negatives to be found here. Pricing is subjective though I personally think prices are very reasonable and comparable to anywhere else you might find you collectibles. The space is packed to the brim with all sorts of toys not old and new. It was hard not to walk out of there with boxes of goodies. From floor to ceiling you’ll find something you want or didn’t know you wanted until you saw it there.Despite how big it is already, they have a basement floor filled with anime model figurines. If you can only check out one toy shop in the city, Toy Tokyo is the one.

When I was a kid visiting the city I was reasonably interested in getting toys and this is where my brother recommended I visit. Even without buying anything their selection was immense and had many figures that were niche and hard to come buy. Fast forward to being an adult, I still stop by on my visits to NYC eager to find another treat to display on my shelves. I've found uncommon Canti figures from FLCL that to this day get a prime spot and it was all thanks to this place. If you like toys, figures, or just want to look this is the place to go.
