I love Trader Joe, overall, but this location is really lacking. I don't know why they're so disorganized and why they can't seem to restock things in an organized way. I often go downtown to other locations that know how to keep their stock on the floor. I can't speak to overall rudeness, but upper west side shoppers are some of the most privileged people on earth - so maybe it's hard for the staff to handle I don't know. But the folks on 14th St. seems super busy, but they always are professional.

Exceptionally rude staff(especially one of the "mates" named Hannah who managed to be grating and condescending while giving homophobic basic jersey girl vibes complete with inch thick caked on makeup- this seems not what they are trying for with the Trader Joe brand), disorganized and chaotic environment. Go to Aldis and find the same stuff and nicer people.

Great and convenient UWS location-- come here if shopping at the 72nd St store is too crowded and hectic for you. While the store is busy, it is significantly less trafficked. It is also much easier to find the popular items that are usually out of stock or sold in limited quantities elsewhere, but don't tell everyone because I love its low-key vibes. I also like to come here on my way to Central Park a block away to pick up snacks for an impromptu picnic. My only complaint is that the flowers here are not very fresh.

The staff is phenomenal! Extremely helpful. They even took my groceries to my car for me when they saw it was too heavy for me. Many food items you find there are not found anywhere else, the plants, vitamins and plant based products are many to choose from and most are very affordable. I love love love the experience you get, it's not like a regular supermarket!Thumbs up Trader Joe's ?

I love going to Trader Joe’s. They have the best prices in town. I really appreciate that they offer affordable vegan offers as well. Far too often, vegan and organic food are much more expensive than comparable non-vegan and non-organic products. Trader Joe’s really helps to make purchasing these products much more affordable.I also really really appreciate the staff. The staff seemed to be genuinely kind. Right now I use a cane to walk so it’s not easy for me to get around. A staff member was very kind and offered to help me get into my Uber. It’s rare to find good customer service in New York City. Thank you Trader Joe’s.

This place can definitely give you anxiety sometimes. It is a push and a fight. I do love the fresh fruits, vegetables and salad section. I try to turn a blind eye at all, the delicious desserts in the freezer section. What I love most of all are the orchids. Trader Joe’s orchids are far less expensive than any flower shop and if you know how to take care of orchids, you could have them for months. Love them! They are far prettier than flowers, and last much longer.

I was nipped by a pet dog that was brought into the grocery store. Management did NOT care at all.I love dogs. But the store is full of bad dog owners who bring their untrained dogs into a crowded, bright, loud store. Understandably, some dogs panic.Management doesn't give a damn about enforcing the law. Under the law, only Service Animals are allowed in. This store was FULL of dogs, must have been at least 20.If you have dog allergies or use an assistance animal I would not come in, your service dog is likely to be bit and washed.

Shelves were under stocked, not by one item here or there, missing whole categories of essential food products which are not coming back for the next few hours. Trader Joe's is the go to store for a ever growing population of people who have attracted to the TJ system of getting their groceries in a creative atmosphere. It is a terrible thing to have the best grocery store in my neighborhood lose it's charm and proceed as another angry store.

We love Trader Joe's but this location has a serious issues of always being out of stock - no matter what time or what day of the week, shelves are mostly empty and most products are sold out.

The last several times we've gone it's been absolutely bare bones. Trader Joe's so obviously needs to establish another uptown location, somewhere between 145-181. It's getting to the point where we wonder if this is still our favorite grocery store. What's the point of making the trek if they're never stocked? **this is clearly not a staffing issue. The staff here is lovely & hard working. But it's chaos here at all times because of lack of product and due to the staff trying their hardest to get inventory on the shelves. It's an issue with lack of locations & ability to keep product on shelves. They need more uptown locations. They have several downtown. We need more uptown locations.

Trader Joe's is an exquisite gem in the world of grocery shopping. With its distinguished selection that echoes European quality and charm, every aisle is an adventure of flavors and unique finds. The curated assortment, from gourmet cheeses to artisanal pastries, is both authentic and delightful. For those seeking a touch of European flair in their pantry without the transatlantic trip, Trader Joe's is the destination. Exceptional products, unmatched value, and a shopping experience like no other!

Well-stocked Trader Joe's with all home grocery needs. There are usually a LOT of people shopping here but there are enough cashiers and all well organised.

Love this store! This location is always clean and well-stocked. It's the only place I shop for groceries in New York. They have lots of single-serving meals that are both convenient and delicious, perfect for people working in the city who don't have time or want to cook. The pricing is great, and the checkout line moves pretty quick even when the place is busy. Would highly recommend Trader Joe's generally, and this location in particular!

I liked how this Trader Joe’s put their herbs and flowers outdoor so that the plants can get some sunlight. The plants looked nice outside and seemed to grow really well. It also seemed that this location offers more variety of plants than other places I’ve been to. Their checkout lines were quick based on the dozens of (random) times I shopped there, which was much more preferable for me compared to another location that I usually went to. I probably will switch to shop at this location because of the fast checkout experience!
