I needed a last min rental near my local area and this location was very convenient. I met with the worker Adam he was welcoming from the moment I step foot in there very friendly like ,I needed a 9 cargo van to be exact, I provided my documents, he verified it then relieved it supper clean and he even warmed up the car before I departed, he was very patient ,helpful & by the book. Adam explained everything to me exactly as needed I highly would recommend dude for great customer service shout out to you Adam?

Employee behind the desk was asleep when I showed up, and did not wake to help me. Then who I assume was his wife had to help me. The vehicle was covered in dirt and scratches, and the passenger side mirror was cracked and basically unusable. Even the alley where the vehicles were parked was full of trash. Worst Uhaul experience I have ever had.

It’s the 2nd year that I use this uhaul location for moving and they’re always been great. Vehicle is always there, little wait time, and returning is easy. Staff has always been nice and efficient !!

The service was horrible. The person taking care of me, had music coming out of his phone and putting my information into it as he’s doing it. The vehicle itself was completely filthy. It looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in over two months it’s still had over eight receipts on the dashboard For side street parking the vehicle had cracked glass on the side. It has dents all over the vehicle and the back door had two bullet holes I’ve been renting from U-Haul for over 20 years from different states and this is the first time that I was completely disappointed, and I was told there was nothing else available for me. The person that took care of me was not customer friendly at all. I think his name was David but I could be wrong. By the way the vehicle was in need of an oil changed it kept popping up on the dashboard. It’s so sad for a company like this. Who’s been around for a long time let this go on, I will never use U-Haul again I was also charged too much.

Great experience!!! Dave was the rep that helped us. He had truck ready when we got there he was personable and professional. We left a phone and called the office and he went above and beyond to get it back to us. You f you need a truck see Dave!!

I had a reservation to do after hours pickup but they didn't put the keys aside for me like they were supposed to so I couldn't get my van. Customer service sent me to chelsea to get my rental

Me and my girlfriend used this company for a move and I dont like criticizing independently owned businesses but this place could use some improvement. We were told on the phone they could provide a furniture dolly and moving blankets when we booked only to find out when we arrived they didn't have any so we had to drive to another uhaul location to rent them which was a hassel. The van we rented was pretty beat up and had a lot of damage which was not already stated when you initially had to assess the vehicle. The man behind the counter also seemed confused and gave me two sets of keys.

I've reserved a truck here three times in the last two months. I have had excellent experiences. One time my requested truck size was not available, so they auto-reserved a truck at a nearby place (no extra charge, no obligation to complete the transaction). The other two times my requested truck size was ready to go.The staff has been more or less efficient, but always professional and less than 10 minutes of processing once you arrive. I have brought back the truck 2 hours late without additional charge.You should do the normal things. Document the gas level and be a good person and fill it back to at least that level. Check for any existing damage and use the web interface check-out on your phone to take photos of any existing damage. I like this local business and I'm sure I will use them again for my in-town moving needs.I see a lot of complaints on the list here for things that are the responsibility of the renter. Know your route, know your tolls, refill the gas as it belongs.

Actually 0 stars but unfortunately that's not an option. By far the worst U-Haul location i ever had to make a reservation for. disrespectful, rude, and dismissive front desk employee (male) because i was an hour late for my reservation due to an emergency during my move-in day 8/13, resulting in them canceling my reservation automatically as a result.fortunately, i was able to rent the cargo van i requested however was only able to receive 1 dolly i rented as opposed to 2, despite reserving those over a week in advance. i was fully aware of being late for a reservation, however, U-Haul employees should be aware that unexpected events and emergencies can occur. moving and renting a van as well as other items is stressful enough. the last thing i need and won't tolerate is constantly being told "you should be lucky you were able to get anything after you were over an hour late" disrespectfully even after i thanked them and told them i appreciated them providing me anything.in addition afterwards, my driver had a difficult time pulling out the van due to being too crammed in between another van and a wall, and wasn't given further assistance. once the reservation was used, i filed a formal complaint calling the customer service line and didn't hear back. ended up having to call them again to follow up and one of the reps was being rude and said that U-Haul customer service called me back on 8/15 (didn't receive any calls from them that day). filed another formal complaint via live online chat 8/26 and was told they'd email the supervisor of that U-Haul location and they'll reach out to me. i've never received word from the supervisor since my complaint.since then, no accountability has been taken into account and i'll move on from this matter as U-Haul as a whole just doesn't care. only writing this review so others can avoid this location and U-Haul altogether for its poor customer service.

I was waiting in office no one was there, asked people around out of the office if they know where is he. Someone pointed at him he was hanging around instead of caring clients. I got him and ask him that will you come to office ? He said that i need to go to office and wait him. So it turned out that he gave car 25 min later then what it suppose to be. Disrespectful service

I had a horrific experience at this location, at 117th St. I rented a 10-foot truck from this location, one that was an 'in town' rental, AKA, it had to be returned to this same location. When I brought the truck back well before my return time (3PM), associate Dave told me, rudely, they had no room for my truck and to leave their establishment. They sent me all the way to the Bronx location at Grand Concourse, where they also had no room. There, the owner let me know about the 'in town' situation. They alerted me that if I dropped my truck off anywhere else, I would receive a tripled fee of what I originally paid. They sent me back to 117th street, where they not only yelled at me, but at my father as well. It took me entering the building and repeating that this was an 'in town' rental about ten times for them to realize that in fact, this was their problem. This location, Sam, and his other female associate working at 2:30PM ET on 6/8 were EXTREMELY rude to me, wasted my time, my gas, and ruined my experience with Uhaul.

Be aware of last minute cancellations! Our initial reservation was cancelled when we were on our way to pick up the truck. We then had to prance around customer support, reaching a few dead ends, before we could actually find a location that had an available van. That delayed our plans for 2h, but we were still able to finish our move in 1 day.
